white screen after FTP transfer - local OK

I am using Captivate 2 for the first time. When I publish a local project as a swf file that's ok. But after the online publication (I tried two different servers) I just get a blank screen, any swf file.
Someone else who have had these problems?

Help the following - I get these error messages in a javascript debugger (I don't read js):

I found the error: there was a standard.js file, I had to download too.
Now I have to search if I have to download all the maps I use (and it's not bad)

If you check the Toshiba document you would see that your Satellite P300 is not related to this issue.

In your case I would recommend upgrading the BIOS and graphics driver.
In addition to keep your operating system up-to-date.

I had this problem under Win XP and a MS patch and an update of the graphics card driver helped solve this problem.

    Hello LA_Hay,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?

A problem with the card installed on your system, might be a major cause of the problem. So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Try to start your system in a State of services necessary to the operation and a minimum set of drivers enabled, called Safe Mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

Step 2: If you do not have the white screen in safe mode, try to clean the system startup:

Note: See "How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as usual after a repair.

If the problem persists, try Method 2.

    Method 2:

    Update your graphics card.

    1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click System and Security, and then, under System, click the Managerof peripheral . If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the list of hardware categories, find the display adapters and select the device driver you want to update, and then double-click the device name.
    3. Click the driver tab, click Update driver, and then follow the instructions. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

If you are not able to update the device driver via windows update, you can visit your computer or graphics card manufacturer's Web site and download & install the latest driver.

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

  • White screen after that the virus KLPD, same save modus starts

Hi, yesterday while surfing the internet has become my white screen, it was the virus KLPD. I found on the internet that I had to download the kaspersky rescue disk and run it on my pc so I could scan my pc on the virus and after that my pc should be normal. So I did what they asked, but now, whenever I start my pc, when I would have my office, I get a white screen and when I pres ctrl + alt + delete I can get in the menu but the management tasks does not start. Now my question how can I come back all my documents and work normal again to my laptop. Its a HP Pavilion dv6000 Entertainment PC.

    Thank you

    Hey AlexDedeur5,

You may be able to create a Live CD. This is a CD with an alternative operating system that runs completely from a CD rather than your hard drive.

Using a Live CD, you can access your hard disk just like you acceding to a flash drive. You can copy and paste your files from the hard drive of your laptop computer to a flash drive or external hard drive. You will need to scan that disc flash drive/external hard with a reliable anti-virus program before opening or transfer these files to avoid infecting a second computer.

To get a very good Live CD is Knoppix. I used it before a couple times to get data from infected computers and hard drives, partially damaged by a fall. Here are some links that provide you with more information about Knoppix.

How do to retrieve the files from the laptop with Windows crashed using the Knoppix CD

Once your data is backed up and scanned with an antivirus, you will need to re - install Windows on the hard drive of your laptop. You can have a recovery partition which you can access by pressing F11 as the computer powers on. If you do not have the HP Recovery Manager, choose System Recovery to factory settings.

If you are unable to the HP Recovery Manager, or it has been lost due to virus, you will need to re - install Windows with a set of recovery disks. If you do not already have your own records, you can order them through HP. If you could provide me with your exact product number (and your country if outside the United States), I could link you to your order for your particular laptop. Here are the steps to finding your product number.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if one of these suggestions helped (this might help others with the same question). I'll keep an eye out for your answer!

  • Preview white screen after accident and redefine the site

    Hello

I have a small... Well the big problem that I can't solve... I hope someone can help

My computer crashed a few days ago, and when I rebooted my computer, on which I found that all my information site definition a site I was working was lost... the site that was opened when my com crashed... only the news of a sites are gone... So not much... I got all the coppied to information already so I was able to redefine a site in a few minutes... I entered all the information EXACTLY as it was before... I got screenshots of all tabs in the deffinitions site Wizard... so I know that it's all work... I tested the conection and it connected no problem...

So I started working again... and go to prieview in the browser, and I get only a blank white page... with the address correctly in the browser window...

So I check and double-check with other sites and they all work very well... only one site that I had to redefine shows a blank white screen... so...
I test my site from the browser and all pages work fine... browser... but not preview of DW

I thought it may have something to do with the mm_serverscrips file is downloaded when you define a site... I went to my cpanel and deleted it... not entirely... just moved to the trash can... then redefined and still had the same problem and when I go to cpanel there is no new mm_serverscripts folder...?

So I restore the mm_serverscript folder and try again and still nothing?

    Anyone got any ideas?

    It's driving me crazy...

    Any help would be great

    Hi thanks for the reply...

I solved the problem... .but I will answer and explain in full...

First... I have no local test server... I test everything alive that I use a lot side server code... phpmysql... MEASURE... generated stuff

And I get blank pages when I direct test... but only when I direct test of dreamweaver...

All pages that I know to reside on my server still work when I test them in my browser... not DW

Oh and I use widows DWCS3 MEASURE etc.

    So now my sollution...

As I said my com crashed and I lost all the site for a site definition, I was working on... So I redefined the site with EXACTLY the same information...
now, when I say exactly... I made a small mistake... when it came to define the test server... it autofilled most of fields and...

So, the ftp host field was automatically filled with my number of URLs... not the name of my site... I thought were the same thing... the number is the same as the name... or so I thought... so in the field prefix url the same numbers as the host ftp so there... I tested it and it connected no problem... no meg error "the root of the site does not match the prefix of the url of the site... blablabla"... the msg to standard error if you put the wrong url... ".

So I thought that it all should work... but only blank pages... with the correct address in the browser window...

So I rechecked the screenshots I had of the site definition of worked previously, an Assistant of definition (I took pictures of all the tabs so I would never forget how set up again... If something crashed... A grand Council, incidentally... great time saver) and I noticed that in the field url of the test server was my server name not number the host ftp... so I changed the name and re-tested and everything worked...

Yes sollution... do not put numbers in the zone prefix url... even if they are the same as the host ftp... with the http:// prefix numbers
Do NOT PUT THE NAME of your site...

The strange thing is that when I tested with numbers and the name... exactly the same url is displayed in the browser window... but one with numbers displays a blank page...

    No idea why...

SO thanks again for your help... and he has helped... as I went through what you say and it made me think and on track... saved me a lot of time so thank you

From my understanding the cables of the screen white screens LCD is still, this problem started after the update of Windows 10 so I'm reluctant to think it's that. My laptop is still under warranty but do not want to send in if he didn't need that I need for work.

I found some information online saying that a restore Image will not work, but I have an and you can try it if need be.

Other information found online says that my computer basically "forgot" that I have a main display to get out information in and make the screen and that's why my second screen works perfectly and me might be able to solve this problem with the start of the saving mode and try to fix it from there again I've never done this and don't want to cause more problems doing things like that.

What could be the best way to go forward with this problem is to say. :

    * Is there a way to check the LCD cables without disassembling the computer. (Don't want to do that, and don't think it's the fault)

    * System Restore will help

    * Where / who should I contact for help in this regard

Thanks for any help provided and please tell me if you need any other info to help. I really want to to fix the problem rather than take it to a guy or HP

It's a bad screen. The upgrade of Windows 10 timing is a coincidence. You can continue to use it as a desktop computer with an external monitor forever.

  • White screen after the upgrade, thoughts?

    Hello

I have a mid-2011, 21.5 "iMac. When I upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan, I got the white screen of death on restart. I saved time machine, reinstalled, and everything was fine. When I did the update niveau.1, the same has happened (white screen, then backup, and then reinstall) and now, last night, after le.2 upgraded the same story happened.

When I run on the armored white mac disk utility, it shows all the hard drive as being full of the 'other', which is certainly not, but the drive is labeled as OK.

Before I try reinstall, I want to know: what am I doing wrong? I'm upgrading via the App Store, I don't have a hackintosh, no illegal absurdity, etc.. But this problem is boring and repetitive, so I figure there must be something I do. Any thoughts?

I got a grey screen for a few minutes, I came back a little later and I was looking at a login screen.

The whole process has been about half an hour.

  • .exe white screen after you have used the application on a programme of work Builder.

    Hello

I am new to Labview development and I have a problem.

I changed an application to fit my needs and when I run it there is no problem (Labview 7 Express) in debugging.

After using the application builder to build my new soft, I have a white screen at launch.

I tried before using the application generator and succeed with this same software (when my changes were in progress), and it worked.

Do anyone have an idea? You need more info?

  • White screen after the Fail Safe Mode - XP, graphics, nVidia, graphics card

Recently, my office computer Gateway running Windows XP was invited to update the nVidia GEForce 6100 driver.

I went to update this driver.

On the next boot, I waited several minutes, but the computer hung up on a screen empty AFTER the Windows screen.

I tried to restart the computer normally several times, but still and always the white screen appeared after installing windows.

I have my computer in Mode safe start, which I did. In safe mode, I disabled the graphics driver nVidia and restarted my computer. To restart the computer, it has actually reached to explore. However, in all the windows, I opened the image lag. Instead of a fluid scrolling, everything has been hectic.

I have to enter the BIOS setup and clicked to start my computer in mode 'fail safe '. Afterwards, when I press the power button on my computer the blue light turns on, fan is running, and a single beep of the singular but NO picture on my monitor.

I tried my monitor on another computer and it worked fine. I plugged the monitor into the gateway PC and yet, I get a black screen as if the Office Tower does not recognize the monitor.

I thank you very much for any solutions or advice, you should be able to provide!

    All the best,

    -Evan

    Hello

Please restart in safe mode, and then do the following

Start - right click my computer - manage - Device Manager - adapt display - nVidia...

Right click - Properties - driver tab - back driver.

This should bring back your previous working driver.

  • White screen after booting from the CD.

I had a virus, could not even open in safe mode, had a tech working on the computer so I could connect.  After that, I tried again and reload Windows XP from CD.  All right, 9 discs to and forward to the end.  Now, the computer starts but stops with a black and white screen.

    Ideas?

    Hello

    1. don't you get the beep when you press the power button?
    2. installation launched successfully?
    3. do you get the BIOS screen?

    Method 1.
I suggest to unplug all external devices such as printers, scanners, etc. of the system and then try to boot to the desktop and check.

    Method 2.
Also I ask you to set the BIOS on default and check parameters. You can contact the manufacturer of the computer for these settings.
    Note:
Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • white screen after that vista went on mode 'sleep'

    Hello

My laptop started to have problems after going sleep mode hibernation recently. I run a Dell Vostro under Vista 32 bit. My big problem is that I can't test one of the solutions I found on the internet so far because even with a forced shutdown the laptop never start back. White screen. Nothing is ever displayed.
Last time I went out that holding the key FN holding power. Then released. The screen came blue and memory tests and drive hard started. I let it run and no problem was found on the hardware side. After the tests were performed, the computer restarts and I press F8 to boot into safe mode. Everything went well for a week after this episode. I tried the "sleep mode" once again and it was as if nothing ever happens. Everything worked well.
And now, it's happening once again. This time, the combination FN-power supply does not work. Nothing appears on the screen ever. The power button not blink or change color. The hard drive light turns on for 3 seconds only when I try to start. Then it's screen white and everything that I hear the laptop fan...
Any idea of someone from the combination of keys to force start the laptop into a kind of safe mode?
    Thank you very much!!!

So it seems that I have to respond to me :) Just in case someone goes nuts facing the same issue, find multiple options on the web 2007 update you this, change the configuration that say, start in SafeMode etc., here is what I found to get out of the black screen after a watch on my laptop. I hope this might help someone else:

    1. Open the housing by unscrewing all to access the battery (not easy, go slowly and carefully do not damage the fragile covers). I hope that your battery is more accessible than mine.
    2. Disconnect the battery cable (if you have my laptop Dell Vostro: first - raise the head end of the connector so you can exit the orange cable gently)
    3. At this point, the rear of the laptop is completely "naked".
    4. Unplug the power cable
    5. Press and hold the power button to laptop for 30 sec.
    6. Plug the power cable back (battery is always not connected)
    7. Press the FN key + power button for 1 second and release them both at the same time
    8. The DELL logo is displayed, and finally the screen is not black more! I need the pre-boot system assessment tests. I hope that you will have this screen also. I suggest that you run the tests. In my case, nothing was wrong with the hardware. This is a Windows problem.

After this step, I was able to start in safe mode and play with the features of windows. Since I'm a busy mom and small business owner, I don't have time to assess what is wrong or even think to completely replace Windows on an old computer laptop 1 year part-time, so far. So I just canceled the sleep function for now.

    Good luck.
