Why every morning my computer turns on itself?

When I press the power button on my computer to go to sleep mode or either Hibernate, morning it starts itself every day.

You can tell your computer to wake up by a delay in the BIOS options (accessible when you first turn on your computer and then press a special key to enter the Setup, usually F2, F10 or Delete - but varies according to the manufacturer of PC).

Windows Task Scheduler can also be set to wake the computer to run a task.  If the computer is in sleep when the task is scheduled to run, the computer wakes up.

  • computer turns on itself-it is taking control of himself?

I got an ASUS with Windows 7 in late July - I have had intermittent problems: Microsoft Office Starter is not working, problems with the wireless connection (this now works - thanks for your support) and now this. I turn off the laptop of the start icon. The display shows end the session and stop. Then all the green lights will turn off. I unplug from AC, usually with between 30% to 90% battery left, then I close the lid.
Then a few hours later or even the next day, I see a green light flashing, lift the lid and the laptop turns on, waiting for my password.

    To solve the problems:
I looked online - consensus seems to be the Task Scheduler. But I thought I would ask through this Web site. There seems to be a lot of scheduled tasks - can I remove these stains or distributes them at the same time? There are certain tasks that require several things happen before the update - Gooogle even need apparently occasional updates.  Is this really the Task Scheduler or maybe a programming problem with power or stop commands?

I unplugged the Wi - Fi until I stop - which gave rise to problems even more that I can not even find networks within range when I turn on. I also stopped Windows 7 automatic updates - only manual update once I turn on the laptop and get the Wi - Fi connection going.

I changed the power settings, so that turning it off when I press the power button or when I close the lid.

I asked a computer consultant - who said take it back to Best Buys - ask them without taking the laptop - and the first impression is maybe a virus - I use Kaspersky.
The only way, it does not switch on again, that's if I drain the battery - that happened when I'm for awhile; can I get the screen to shut down the system.
I hate to take the laptop and throw the Geek Squad on it - but if anyone has better answers. What a waste of battery. Thank you all for your support.

Please check the manual of your PC - you may have no problem at all.  A flashing green light may indicate that the system is in mode "sleep" [mine does this, for example].  The fact the computer lights up when you lift the lid hear too to be as if it was in standby mode *.  The fact that you can leave it until the next day also indicates he was asleep as no battery can keep the PC in another State for that length of time.

If the manual is not clear on this point, see the Asus support site & forums [if they have forums].

Please post back with the results of these controls.  In addition, * [above] the PC comes back a second or two because it also shows that he was in mode 'sleep' [or how long does it take?]

Have you looked at in this...
Right-click on your desktop free space > view > where is the check mark, classic, medium, or large?

You may want to check this one too...
Right-click on an open office space > Personalize > column left, adjust the size of police (in PPP) > you could put a point to larger scale, or > click Custom DPI > change to a large % > OK > OK

    Hello

The power on and off is problem is hardware and you need a real computer store or
support of the manufacturer of the system. You cannot fix the hardware with the software.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite A500-1GL (PSAR9E) turns itself on at 08:20 every morning

    Hello

I've had my Satellite A500-1GL (PSAR9E) for a few weeks now and it's great except, that he puts himself on every morning at about 08:20.

    * The machine is * shut down * every night, (hibernation or suspended), usually between 23:00 and 01:00.
    * I was * stop * switch wifi on the case of the machine every night after his stop, (because I was wondering if the problem came from wake-up-on-lan).
    * I've been unplugging all the usb devices on the machine after
    * I have even unplugged my helmet just in case it makes a difference, (it's not)...

I was leaving the unit plugged in, but there has been no interruption of power any since I got the machine.

There is no one else at home when this happens, and I have no pets!

I'm completely puzzled as to why the machine turns on, (and almost exactly the same time each day!)

    Anyone have any ideas here?

    Thank you

    Freddo

    Hi freddo

Have you tried to load default BIOS settings?
Entry of the parameters press F9 BIOS and save the settings.

    Check if this happens again.

  • Why my internet accounts automatically get disconnected after that my computer turns off by itself?

I have a Compaq PC with processor Dual-Core AMD Athlon X 2 5000, and it runs Windows Vista Edition Home Premium... In my view, that is running Service Pack 2. I use the computer to check my e-mail, my YouTube and Facebook accounts (and possibly other accounts spread I connect to).

I usually use Internet Explore to browse the web. Sometimes my computer turns off by itself due to overheating. But whenever when this happens, when I turn my computer back on and return to the use of the Internet, I've totally frustrated to find that all my accounts were automatically disconnected!

Even when I check these boxes to keep me connected to these accounts when I turn on the computer again after a successful stop, my accounts still get disconnected!

It only seems to happen when my computer turns off by itself without stopping... mainly due to overheating. When I turn on the computer again after a successful regular stop, my accounts are automatically saved on once again, due to activate me "Keep me connected" by checking these little boxes. But after a situation when the computer is off all the time (either by himself for a reason, either by me with strength to turn it off when my computer crashes), my accounts do not remain.

How can I prevent my accounts automatically be disconnected so that whenever I start the computer, after it turns off by itself, my internet accounts turned on? There must be a patch for this embarrassing situation here on the internet.

Perhaps because an improper shutdown / forced can inpact on different parameters.

Your must not PC in all cases be having heat problems, you need to fix this (heat) before it turns into something terminal
