Why the MAA did install 2 Versions of Photoshop?

Two weeks ago, I downloaded and installed Photoshop CC on my Win 7 PRO, PC, desktop without any problem.  Today, I tried to install Photoshop CC on my laptop W 7 Pro, which took the version of CS6 Office.  I did the following: disabled CS6. uninstalled CS6 (I had a converted copy backup); connected to the creative Cloud; Application Manager reinstalled; downloaded and installed Photoshop CC.

Installation above installed 32-bit and 64-bit versions on my computer laptop 64 bit. Both versions work and are the 13.1.2 version.  Control Panel > uninstall shows that a single icon CS6.  (I did an uninstall and two icons appeared and uninstalled versions. I reinstalled then PS CC.) The 32-bit version is in the directory program files (x 86) and 64-bit version is in the directory program files, as expected.

I would appreciate any thoughts on why this happened.  What is my approach, my machine or a quirk of Adobe?

Can I manually remove the 32-bit version without creating other problems?

Thank you

It works as it is supposed to be. The installer always install both versions for maximum compatibility for people who for example can use old printers or scanners that can work with the 32-bit version. There is no way to remove them separately.
