I connect using start programs/Media Player.

Goes the icon to the taskbar, and when I click on the impropriety, it opens in reduced position.

However, I can't get the player to maximize.

How can I get the player in a position to enlarge it?

  • How to backup and restore of Windows medial Player library?

I rebuilt a WMP library several times due to changes in operating systems, accidents, etc.  Re-creation of playlists and of reloading the files of music becomes tedious. I know that you can have just the library automatically fill up again, but I did a lot of changes to customize the library and I would like to save the library and restore it if necessary. Is it possible to do? I'd appreciate any help in this area.

  • Stopped Media Player library view multimedia files.

I am running XP Pro SP3.

The Medial Player 11, my songs and other multimedia files intercepted in the library. I cannot add them to the library and can't add new files to the library.  It is a new problem that began a few days ago. I had the media files for about a year without prior problem.

In library view, reads the message, "there is no element in the library again, the player is looking for digital media files in the background, click here to add files to the library now."  However, nothing appears.

If I try manually add it to the window 'library', the player search files and indicates that he found some, but none are added.

I still have my audio and video files in their files on the C drive.  Media Player will play them fine if I double-click on them in their folder or open on the file menu in Media Player.

I tried the following, but had no success.

    1. I tried to get Media Player to rebuild the files/databases in accordance with the instructions on the Microsoft Support Web page (Article ID: 925718"You cannot view, add, or delete items in the library of Windows Media Player 11")

    2. second attempt :--> %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft - deleted file Media Player

    3. also uninstalled / Rollback and reinstall.

None of these answers have managed.  I don't know what else to do.

I'm happy to and will enjoy additional ideas or an other.

  • No sound with Media player when you watch DVDs, s, but VLC works fine?

Help. I have some problems of disk drive.
The first is that dvd movies will not play with sound on medial player (or real player, which I have now deleted) but on VLC. I downloaded about each pack codec out there, and none have corrected it so far.

My second is that my pc stops to recognize movies dvd on readers in total after only a few moments and I need to reset my pc to explore recognize them again. again, vlc will open and read the disc even when windows (vista) does not see then (separate the 2 discs).

PS, a person is required to tell me if VLC works, what is the problem. The question is that I want to correct the mistakes, never what they are.

  • HP pavilion zv6000 - digital media player problem

My digitial medial player does not read our SD camera card even if the card can be read by a USB SD card reader. We have the same problem with our HP desktop computer digital media player.

I have download all the updates that I can find for the AMD processor, windows XP Pro, and digital media player.

We tried several different SD cards but all are bigger then 2 gig I think that's the problem.

When inserted, the system (Windows XP Pro) simply does not recognize the card.

Is their a patch of firmware for the digital media player, I'm missing?

Unfortunately, the maps of more than 2 GB are actually SD - HC, no SD they look alike and have the same form factor, internally, they are quite different.  Although in some cases, an update of the firmware can update a card reader, it is usually not possible (or at least most of the manufacturers do not try), I suspect that your USB card reader is of a more recent vintage than readers integrated computer.

Unfortunately, your choice is to continue to use the separate drive or stick on SD cards that are generally limited to 2 GB or less.

  • Unable to download windows media player mobile so I can borrow video from my public library

I'm trying to understand how to download windows media player mobile for my palm centro, so I can borrow the video from my pubilc library.  I have the regular windows medial player on my windows xp home desktop, but when I tried to download the mobile player on the site, I was invited to install microsoft activesync - I did it but microsoft activesync does not recognize my palm centro.  Any advice?

Hello BETTIE, welcome to the Palm support community.

What you're trying to do cannot be done!  Windows Media Player Mobile isn't a PalmOS program - it is a program for Windows Mobile.

ActiveSync is also a Windows program, designed for your computer and will not work with a PalmOS device.

What format is the video that you are trying to view?  What is a DVD?  It is in the form of .wmv?

There are several programs for sale which can read files in format .wmv - CorePlayer, and Kinoma EX player are two that come to mind.

DVD converters are also for sale.  See this link in the section Audio, video and Photo of the forum:

Reading this forum, I tried to delete the file from library: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Medial Player

So far, nothing has solved the problem. Neither thought I solved the problem by updating the Realtek audio driver, but he's back to do the same thing.  The only change on my computer has been automatically updated from Microsoft. Is it possible, there is a cause of conflict by an update?

Are there still more recent versions of the driver at HP (even if not on your specific system page) or
site of the manufacturer of the real device? Try installing the latest driver and BIOS and all the

I could not delete the windows medial player.  On the problem of the firing line not found no problem. I do not recommend, you delete all file system, because it can cause you many problems.
But in general using unlock you can remove almost anything literally...

It will show which process is the file/folder you want to delete, and even it will remove the process or service holding the file/folder you want to delete...

  • Some problems with Toshiba 40LV933G using the Serbian language settings

    Hello

I have Toshiba 40LV933g TV a few months already.
The firmware version is finally a 1.00.08.
And I have some problems with it, which I think can be corrected in some of the new firmwares (if there is one).

First of all, when I select Serbian language 'Move' in media player is not translated.

Secondly when I select the Serbian country in the menu I can't automatically scan for DTV and ATV ATV just of channels.

Third and the greatest problem is medial Player do not support these last Serbian latin in subbtitles as:? šŠ?? žŽ
and there is no possibility of changing the size of this last subbtitle. Things like this other brands are already supported.
    * also the time between changing channels is long enough *.

    Best regards.

I noticed the same problem with subtitle on my TV Toshi when I use the media player (movie recorded on USB key). These Latin letters are not displayed correctly.

I also hope that this can be corrected with new firmware.

By the way: do you know where you can download the latest version of the firmware?

  • Tecra A2: No DVD decoder

I have a laptop Tecra A2 which has been upgraded to Windows XP, all drivers are up to date except when I try to play a DVD in Media Player pop - up appears saying no compatible DVD decoder is installed on this computer.

Is this a driver problem and can I have this free issue?

    Any help well :)

    Hello

I think that you need to install a right codec pack.
I guess you didn't install a MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 codec and therefore it of not possible to play DVDs using the window medial player.

Personally, I prefer the K-Lite Codec Pack Full.
This codec package contains everything that is needed.
Google of this package if you want to download it.

In addition I advise to use free VLC Player.
This player is a free, downloadable tool on the internet.
He plays most of the files and it of really, really great.

  • All of a sudden no sound

I have a HP with Vista s7700n for about 4 years.

I have never had any problem with listening to the music (or the dvd) of the plugin before using headphones and Windows medial Player.

Today, I do not know why, I started playing with menus Realtec (I had never touched before) and now I have no sound at all.  I'm an old geezer and should have better than playing with the stuff I don't understand.

I wonder if someone can help me, please?  Really, I rely a lot on listening to music with headphones while I perform another task on the PC.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The best way to solve this problem would be to run the Windows system restore.  If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you should disable Norton Tamper Protection as described in step 2, on the link below.

    http://us.Norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web & docURL = 20091112171719EN & LN = en_US

Once you are done, turn off the PC.  Windows system restore is usaully better run in Mode without failure.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  When it has loaded, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore before change you the settings of Realtek and then proceed to the restoration.  This will take a few minutes.  When you are finished, Windows will restart normally.  See if you now have your sound back.

    Best wishes

  • Satellite L300-20W - DVD will not play

    Satellite L300-20W.
Laptop CD in WMP fine plays.
However if I try to play a DVD I get the message "Windows Medial Player cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."

If I try to use a Toshiba DVD player, a box opens (with clouds in there) and almost immediately I get the message "Toshiba DVD Player has stopped working" and then "Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available," but of course he never advise me.

Any help much appreciated. (Old man and not very technical)
    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Regarding the error code: Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer. »

It seems that your Windows Media Player does not have the necessary plugin DVD decoder that allows you to watch DVDs.
See this MS knowledge base article:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;306331

I also recommend to install a codec that allows you to watch other videos stored in other formats.
K - lite Mega Codec Pack is free and contains all the codecs.

If you are not able to use the Toshiba DVD software you must reinstall this tool.
I think that the most recent version is released on the European driver Toshiba page.

  • Satellite A100-787: drivers needed to use the control buttons and volume knob

There should be a program that displays on the screen, the volume level when I change volume and another which allows me to use the game, front, back or stop buttons either with medial player JetAudio.

Where can I get such a program?

Are you using the original image of preinstalled Toshiba?
The image of Toshiba Vista contains all the necessary drivers and utilities and using this OS everything should function.

If you have installed other OS like XP XP drivers are needed.
If I m not wrong not the notification of screen volume levels appears not in XP.

Also if you want to use Toshiba command buttons you need to install the correct drivers as controls, common modules, etc.
The proper installation order is necessary and important. That's why I recommend that you check the installation instructions on the download page of Toshiba!

By the way; the control buttons are preconfigured and I don t think that it might be possible to use it with another players as IE Jetaudio.

  • Question: How can I format a DVD to use on the computer that they had already been used on a DVD recorder to disc progs TV one

Hello.. Can someone help please, I have a lot of DVD + RW and DVD - RW Traoré were used to record TV programs... and the DVD recorder to initialize before use when I try to use them on my drives it dose does not format and they need to be formatted re I do not know how... Help please John Cheers

    Hi John;

What format are the programs being recorded in? Your medial player is probably missing the right codec. Usually, when this happens, you will get a pop up window in which Windows give the possibility to provide web support. If you click web support, a page opens that gives you the file format.
