  Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site
  and search for the Windows XP drivers for your specific computer or motherboard model number.

  If there are Windows XP drivers, then download to a folder on your hard drive and burn it to a CD/DVD.
  Then, after installing XP install all device drivers, start by installing the card mother/chipset driver first,
  then the SATA, Audio, USB, LAN, etc, drivers.

• Why this problem with the width of the content does not not on smaller screens?

  When I test this page on 800 x 600 screens, the text of the article is cut on the right side. I thought that including min-width and max-width (w/IE6 hack) on the div that contains the text of the article would solve my problem, but it does not work. He doesn't even answer if I decrease my browser window on my screen of 1024 x 768. I was reading on, and try to use, "elastic design" but I obviously missed one of the steps. • Google talk does not, any more than the graphics on web pages, but it works well in other browsers, what can I do to fix this?

  Utube vids play, but graphics (pictures) do not load on any web page, that I and my cat of google said it cannot connect to the internet but my internet works fine and google chrome works fine too. and google mail graphic buttons for email do not appear also.

  I found I have the ability to enable and disable certain features (Java, images, etc.) to help add on the toolbar of the image and we somehow got disabled so I have allowed and voila, FIXED. Add it on the toolbar can be found by view, and then click Add on the bar, if you do not see it on the bottom of your screen.

• Local disk space becoming extinct, while the files does not take more than space.

  

  Strange things are happening. Space somewhere in endangered. As it comes to SSD, I previously had ~ 40 GB unallocated for the provision of courses, but had to merge to the C: drive as there was not enough space, but space preserves endangered and now it's only a little more than 20 GB left. Strange thing is that if I select all the files, including the hidden, it only shows that there are 150GB taken, whereas if I click on disc space itself and watch his space, I see that there are 214GB taken.

  Any ideas what may cause this? As the amount of available space seems to disappear around 1-2 GB per day, I won't last long at this rate...

  There are much better the tool by a 3rd party called Treesize (by Jam software).  It will tell you what is eating space.

  Photos, which worked yesterday, will suddenly be open are not not iPhoto. I restarted several times and tried to open while pressing the command option. Nothing. Help!

  What happens when you try? It crash? You get an error message?

  What has changed before photos is more launched? Have you installed new software? Run any new application? Move the photo library to a differnet drive?

  I tried one of the etensions CHKDSK only indicating finished had erros on the C drive but running CHDDSK /F c: it skpped by.

  Please can anyone suggest something else to try I would prefer to use update rather than a full installation disc...

  You can use the update disk, but you have almost no choice other than
  do a full install (clean). There is no way to make a direct
  update of XP. Other than one new installation, your only other
  choice would be a triple upgrade - XP to Vista, Vista, 7, 7, and 8.
  And I strongly advise against trying it. Not only is it
  expensive, but do three upgrades triple the risk of having
  problems.

  Also if you attempt to run Windows 8 on XP - era machine, it
  most likely is that you will be medium low power for Windows 8, and
  will need several hardware upgrades, and they will cost enough that it
  might be cheaper to buy a new computer with Windows 8 on it.

  And not only will insufficient hardware in any way a problem, but you might also
  a problem with Windows 8 drivers for some of your old equipment do not have
  be available.

  Before we get too far, it's always a good idea to check that your 'secret' button just above your volume controls is not engaged. If you see that the yellow indicator go ahead and switch to the other position to turn it off.

  Alternatively, you can drag up from the bottom of the screen and make sure that the control of "do not disturb" is disabled.

• When a link to open another application and firefox is closed, Firefox opens but the link does not work

  I use Firefox on Mac OS 10.9.2, 29, this problem has occurred on the OS 10.8 ~ and various other versions of FF. I use 29 simply because I like it!

  The problem: Firefox is configured as the default browser in all directions it is possible to set as the default value. However, when I click on a URL from any application and Firefox is closed, Firefox opens opens, my last session of navigation tabs start, but the link does not open. I must return to the application and click the link again. This only happens on Firefox. I can put any other default browser and it will open the link in a closed state.

  This is happening to me, same, on Mac OS X 10.6.8 but only since I've upgraded to the latest version of Firefox, 32.0.1. I can click on a HTTP link in another application and Firefox becomes the active application, but it will not load a new tab for the link, as expected. Instead, it just sits there. I have to go back to the other application and click on the link a second time, during which point Firefox correctly open a new tab and load the destination URL.

  If Firefox detects that the places.sqlite database is corrupted then Firefox can create a new database file and import bookmarks from a JSON backup that does not contain the most recent bookmarks (a new JSON backup is created when you run Firefox for the first time on a day), then you may lose the bookmarks in such a case.

  You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.
