  Hi all

  Configure dot1x on our access layer switch ports and I have a few problems with devices that fail authentication.  This is the current configuration on the way to the switch:

  When a non-employee connects they go through the authentication process and eventually fail dot1x and mab and placed in the vlan designated guest 7.  If you're doing a "show int gx / x status" on this port, switch-it shows the connected and to this vlan 7.  If you're doing a "show dot1x int gx / x details" it also shows the port as authorized (by Guest-Vlan) and politics of vlan is 7.  The problem is the user never gets a valid ip address - they receive only a 169.x.x.x.  Anyone has experience with this type of question or have any recommendations?

  -First of all Eteinte, your switch orders tell me you are using old software on your switch, you must pass it first of all, there was a lot of correction of a bug and improvements to dot1x/mab in recent versions

  -Your problem is probably that the client dhcp of your comments is delay until you are finished with dot1x and mab, susally tx-period to a lower number of adjustment could help the time it takes before joining the vlan comments, but could also have an impact on your computers running dot1x, you should try some different values. Also, using Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7, also helps on your machines to dot1x, and finally using supplicant AnyConnect NAM he will operate properly without having any problems when setting the timers dot1x on your switch.

  -With the new software I go with default timers, perhaps change tx-5 second period and then use the "order mab dot1x authentication" and "authentication priority mab dot1x", also having your vlan comments like your vlan by default, will be generally also solve the problem of the guests have to do a new once-popular dhcp reqeust, however you can run into problems with stuff you wan't to use mab on.

• Unable to connect to websites using safari, although my wife use the imac, which has a separate login id can?

  When I open Safari from the dock it shows as usual, but when I try to connect to it looking for Web sites, it does not. can't display preferences etc either. Also, my wife uses the Imac and has a separate login ID and its works very well for her. Worked ok until the end of the week. Any ideas how to fix? Have tried to install the latest version of Mac OS X, but nothing helps.

  What version of Mac OS X is installed, your profile shows 10.7 but I suspect that it is not correct.

  I have a rather strange problem: I can not disable the WiFi using Fn + F8 module.

  It happens after reinstalling Windows. I installed Windows 7 Pro SP1 x 64 (MSDNAA). I installed the driver Broadcom WLAN, then Toshiba Value added package and Bluetooth Stack from Toshiba Web site.

  When I press Fn + F8 there is only a Bluetooth icon, I can enable and disable. And there is no WiFi icon.
  Wireless network card is listed in the Device Manager, it works.

  Before you reinstall Windows, when I had used pre-installed Windows 7 HP, it worked correctly: there were three icons, I could turn off/turn on WiFi, BT and the two WiFi + BT by pressing Fn + F8.

  Does anyone have a problem like this?
  Can someone help me?

  Hmm generally the FN + F8 should switch on / off the Wlan correctly.
  Maybe the WLan driver must be installed again even if the wireless network adapter is already visible in Device Manager.

  This is the problem (which I corrected).  It's simple, all you have to do is to switch to XP, insert your mac installation disc and follow installation bootcamp, with all the drivers for mac compatibility.  The wireless just popped up as active.

  In Windows 7, go to start, Control Panel, network and sharing, manage wireless networks, select the network to which with that you have problems, remove, confirm that you want to delete the network profile by clicking on "Yes".  Close the control panel.

  Bottom right of the taskbar, click to select the network that you want in the available wireless networks listed.  A box opens, check connect automatically, click Key Code, enter your password to connect.

  It worked perfectly!  Now I'm back online.

  I tested one of my application via a port USB connection.it works very well. But when I tried to pair my device with wifi using manage Assistant device that it is show peer not authenticated. I entered the IP addreess as indicated in the parameter-> about-> category-> network > ipv4 and the password for the device with the mode of development on. Can anyone can display accurate information with the related data on pairing device with wifi!

  This link explains how to add devices.  Device management  The process for WiFi and USB is similar, you're really just using a different IP address. Make sure you use the correct IP address. Multiple IP addresses can be listed if your device is connected to the network WiFi and cellular network. Also be sure to is not a proxy server or firewall between your computer and the device that could block the connection.

• I can't share my Wifi using Intel my WiFi utility

  I use ACER 4830TG more than a year & I am pretty satisfied. My problem is that I have a Nexus 7 (WiFi) & I used generally to share my wifi PC internet using my WiFi utility intel. But for a few weeks, I am unable to share my Wifi using Intel my WiFi utility. It shows always connect & disconnect info with in a few seconds. But if I share my Internet then it connect with my Nexus 7 & of course, I'm not able to use internet then. Need urgent help please. BTW, earlier, I tried intels new dashboard 15.1, but it does not support my WiFi adapter. So, I rolled back & connect with a common, but now I can't!
  My WiFi profile current settings:
  Security: WPA2-PSK
  Type of encryption: TKIP
  Filter network traffic: disabled
  DHCP and DNS server: enabled
  Default channel: 3
  No device is blocked!
  BTW, I used to connect to the same profile settings, but now it is connect any more.

  Firstly I suggest to enable network discovery and check if this helps you solve the problem. To do this, please follow the steps below:

  (a) Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click network and sharing Center, and then in the navigation pane, click change advanced sharing settings.

  (b) to increase the profile of the current network.

  (c) click turn on network discovery, and then click Save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  It is also possible that the Windows Firewall and the antivirus on the computer may be blocking the printers print.

• Color text and size can be changed using the commenting tools

  Hello, I have problems by changing the color of the text and the size of the comments when using the commenting tools.  I used to be able to do this by placing the cursor over the text and by opening the text properties bar, but the text properties bar has ceased to appear even when you select Crl + E.  When you use a text box, I can get the properties of the text box bar pop up; then I pass the text inside the text box and the text properties bar, however, I am not able to adjust the color, size and type of police.  Help? The text parameter might have accidentally set to default?  If so, that is editable?

• Not being able to use the commenting tools in Android App.

  So, I did abit of research regarding my dilemma. I wanted to just a solid understanding of my research findings.

  His my situation, my office im player capable to add Post-it notes and highlight text. When I open the same PDF file through the app Android, Im not supposed to. I get a message saying "this tool is not available because of the security settings of documents".

  My research ive concluded that it is the whole PDF encryption that is not allowing me to use the commenting tools in the Android app. Is this correct?

  Is there a way around this side just do it on my desktop/laptop computer?

  Acrobat Reader mobile products (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) have the known limit where the changes cannot be saved in encrypted PDF documents.  As a result, users are not able to make changes (addition of comments/annotations or forms) for encrypted PDF documents.

  If you created the PDF file or if you know the password, you can remove the Security document and settings of restriction of the PDF on your desktop, so you can use it on your Android app.

• Number of antennas router question?  (Several gadgets WiFi using 1 router)

  -My House is a 3 storey 5 bedrooms single family home.  There are 4 people living under his roof and each person has at least 3-4 items wireless who rely on our network domestic wi - fi.  Include wireless iPhone 2 of 6, 3 iPhone 5, 2 iMac (an older and a new one), 1 airbook, 1 MS Surface, 2 older laptops Apple (the old 1 "thick white), 2 iPads, Kindle 1-2, frame 1 photo wireless, 3 printers, wifi, 1 Sony PlayStation4 (via wifi) and much more.

  Our current router is a double (2.5 and 5) and we use them both, and we had recently a technician change the channels, so we are not in competition with the neighbors.  The router signal strength is strong in the home to most of the places.

  My question: with so many features, would be useful to have several routers with multiple antennas to accommodate this request, or made this same question?

  My current router has 3 visible external antennas.  I read that the Airport Extreme has 6 internal antennas.  I'm ready to go buy Airport Extreme, if 3 additional antennas can help, or if I can use two routers for a total of 9 antennas (if this is important).

  Our services to wide band is xfinity and we have one of their fastest options.  Not quite the 105, but about 80.

Channel of all the equipment that surrounds you change every day, every hour... maybe every 5 min. While I don't disagree with fixing channel... others would say that it should be left on auto. You gain nothing much at all.

  If the signal strength is good over a 3-storey house, you are incredibly lucky.

  You can't effectively add routers more unless you install ethernet to provide an infrastructure for data streams.

  If your iPhone is already setup as a remote control for the Apple Tv, so you can use it to configure the Wifi connection for this as you would with the normal remote, by going to settings on the Apple Tv.

  If you have not yet set your iPhone as a remote control, then there is nothing you can do as you need the apple tv remote to access the relevant screen to set up the iPhone as a remote control.

• Extension of WiFi using the Virgin Super Hub and Airport Extreme

  I am trying to expand the network so that I get better WiFi in another area of the House.  I have set up a unit of the Airport Extreme (AE) and through the Airport utility, I see that it is picking up the WiFi network and get the green light.  When I click on the device in Airport Utility (AU) to check the information of the AE is indicating that it is on the WiFi network and the right connection.   None of my devices (iPadAir 2 and iPhone 5) are picking up the WiFi Signal.  However, when I click on change EI is indicating a Base Station.  So clicking on wireless and network Mode, then click on extend a wireless network by clicking on update of the unit could not leave the stand mode.   Very strange!

  Routers Apple do not work as universal repeaters... they extend ONLY other airports.

  You can't do what you want. You MUST connect the extreme by ethernet on the Super Hub... or use adapters EOP.

• HP Pavilion 15-n270sa: cannot turn on WiFI using as supposed to action on HP Pavilion keys

  I recently downgraded my laptop for Windows 7 Pro Windows 8.1 because of problems with internet. When you have completed the installation I was not able to use my work as supposed to keys when I need to turn on my WiFi Fn + f12 keys. The drivers Ethernet and network are yellow and because I couldn't get my WiFi I tried the wireless adapter.

  There are two problems here:

  1. Action keys does not anyway if I deactivate or activate them via the BIOS
  2. No Ethernet and network drivers and they is not found on the computer or online.

  I have to say that I tried the drivers on this site and unfortunately, they do not work but my friend and I found a solution for this.

  I downloaded Driver Booster 2.2 and scanned my laptop with it who found and installed all necessary drivers. After installing all the drivers he saw my wifi but is not connected, but everything had to be done, it was just close and on the router and restart the laptop.

  I tried screws from TCP/IP and to understand. But how can we make our PC Access point using Labview? Are there any specific screw init or some additional toolkit required to do this. Actually I want to PC to become the hot spot to be connected. My app will then scan him in serach and then sign in to do some data send and receive actions. You have little help for me in Labview.

  For the wifi connection, I need to use the method of connectivity to Microsoft. How can I do this by Labview. I understood how to put IP LAN to detect in Labview only once I'm connected to the other PC via LAN wireless and wireless.
