Window 8 Pro blocks due to error Kernel Power event 41

I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8 Pro.
My machine started crashing (BSOD equivalent) randomly and often.
Watch the crash dump data (Event Viewer) and theses Win8 accidents result from 'Kernel-Power' (* event 41) error.
Due to the absence of any information on the nature and the rectification of this event and error Kernel - Power, I had to assume that it might be linked to the power supply feeding the processor (or the kernel of Win8).
My Windows 7 Ultimate has been solid as a rock and NEVER crashed.
So I have to make another assumption that the problem is NOT with my hardware but the fault can be caused buy an aggressive CRS of the internal vote to the kernel of Windows 8 Pro.
To confirm this hypothesis, I was able to reinstall Win7 [ty Acronis] an image already made before Win8 upgrade.
Windows 7 DO crashed before installing Window8.  When I reinstalled Windows 7 BACK from an image, it always goes NOT down.

My third assumption is that this BSOD is NOT related to my hardware or Windows 7.
I've actually gone as far as my power ELECTRIC (Antec NeoPower 550) and PS (under load) test is strong, as indicated with the proper functioning of Win7, but NOT under Win8.

A few additional tests indicated that I continually movies playing in the background, window 8 crash at all.
I don't think this is the type of solution to this problem that I'm looking.
I will continue to blame Windows 8 for this problem because my Antec power supply nor Windows 7 is at the heart of the problem.
I also have a sneaky suspicion that this problem will not be solved anytime soon.
But we can only hope someone can answer to these problems.
Welcome, 512f

I have the same concern on a clean install win 8 pro 64-bit. Random freezes for the new screen of death:(que plantages dit que c'est la collecte d'informations mais justes assis sur 0 % donc je dois tenir le pouvoir mais de fermer.) My system has been solid under win 7 ultimate, I slowed the speed down in order to see if it would make a little more stable but not lucky I'm on an X 58 chipset with a hexagonal base 12 CPU of xeon W3670 of ram raid hard gigas drives they were what I thought, that was the problem that has had a lot of corruption on some of the incidents very angry with what I think that This OS is not suitable for usage, I'll write in the negotiation of standards on this subject. but I think that Microsoft can get away with this because it is a license not a real thing. Well I don't like the office, aero was nice, that sounds like your desktop cheep 2D from another age. and my backup does not win 7 so I lose a day in my life of resettlement to perfection, I had a mac. Best wishes to all those who share this pain DK

    Hi Oliver,.

Sorry for the late reply and I appreciate your patience.

The kernel power event 41 ID error occurs when the computer is off or it restarts unexpectedly. Starting a computer that is running Windows, a check is made to determine if the computer has been properly closed. If the computer was not closed properly, a kernel Power event 41 message is generated.

o solve this problem, use one of the following methods. Method 1: Download and install the Windows Update Agent click here to show or hide the way to determine if you are running 32-bit or a 64-bit Windows edition

To find out if it's a 32-bit version or 64-bit, open system information (Msinfo32.exe). Then check the value for the system Type item. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Startand then click run.

      Collapse this includes this image

    2. Type msinfo32.exe, and then click OK or press ENTER.
      Collapse this includes this image

    3. In system information, review the value for the element Type.
      • For 32-bit editions of Windows, the System Type value is x 86-based PC.
      • For 64-bit Windows editions, the System Type value is x 64-based PC.
      Collapse this includes this image

The following files are available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:

  • Update Windows XP Pro/Adobe Reader fail/error 1601

Problem started with the pop-up box 'Windows Installer' TrayApp.msi, ScannerCopy.msi, error 1601. Computer works fine, the printer works fine. Adobe Reader update installation failure. Worried about the security updates. Set to "automatic updates" everyday. Printer installation has been done since the HP Web site. Can you help me? English plain please. Not a developer.

    English plain please.

"Plain English", specifically including complete sentences, is also useful when you ask questions.  You must also specify the version of Windows you have, including the Service Pack (click right my computer and select Properties, if you do not know).

Whatever your printer works well has to do with the errors that you see?  If there is a problem with your printer, please include the brand (HP, I guess) and the model.

When this popup error happens (that is, which causes the error)?

Was the message itself, that you have received 'Windows install is not accessible.  Installation cannot continue because the Windows Installer is accessible.  Error 1601 "code?

If this is the error message you received, then:

Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK).
In the black command prompt window, type the following lines and press ENTER after each line

    msiexec /unreg
    msiexec/regserver
    output

You shouldn't really have to restart the computer here, but do it anyway.

Do whatever it is that caused the error message.  Things work now?

If you want to install Adobe Reader, the current version is here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ don't forget to uncheck the box to install McAfee Security Scan Plus.  You can be happier, however, with the software free FoxIt Reader, an application that is much less inflated to read pdf files.

I thought I found the problem, but it always stops at random.  I called HP and they said that it's probably the motherboard.  I think that's their standard answer if they have no idea what is the problem.  In any case, I have to send it back, I got it for Christmas.  Now I have to use my old laptop for several days.  I am not happy that nobody cares, have a good day.

Hello, thanks for reading and helping me.

    • A system restore to a time when the DVD was working did not resolve the issue
    • The different links in Microsoft, I found in this forum about this problem do not seem to be useful.  There is a link that points to the set-top boxes, but this page just says: "Windows 7 comes with a decoder.
    • I assured the latest driver is available by going to "Device Manager", right click on the drive, then click on "update driver software".
    • I assured that the latest firmware is installed directly from the manufacturer's website.
    • I tried to reset my DRM by renaming the DRM under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows folder and by going to this Web site to upgrade:http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1
    • I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player 12 and Windows Media Center via the function "functionality in Windows.

I would be very grateful if a Microsoft technology could chime.  Thanks for your help!
