Windows 10 suddenly returned to Windows 7, then could not start

Hello

I ask this question on behalf of the client that I am helping with his computer.

I have yet to his computer to check his story, which is very undetailed and wave, but I was hoping there is some information out there to specify what can be the cause and the solution.

I installed Windows 10 (with a few problems because of an incompatible program) successfully somewhere in December.

More than two weeks later, the customer reports that his computer has been restored to Windows 7, without his intervention.

A few days later, the customer reports the computer now refusing to start at all, apparently stuck in a sort of "System Restore" (indicating errors to cause of which he cannot start) and which shows no signs of progress, even after loading of so-called whole day.

Of course, the event beforehand is quite strange. Since when the operating system downgrade itself automatically?

This has occurred within the period of 30 days in which Windows can indeed be restored to Windows 7, but I don't think that in the choice of the user in the settings.

  • Y at - it no information as to how this could happen and remedy?
  • Is the previous installation of Windows 10 possible cause to this problem?

I support the latter is highly unlikely, because it is unlikely that the activities I did on his computer of lead a problem more than two weeks later the success of use, and that a cause can be determined from just this event.

My client submits it must be, because it uses the computer for everyday tasks.

Thanks in advance for any information provided,

Isaiah van Hunen

Hi Isaiah,

Thanks for posting in the community.

We understand your concerns and we will help you solve the problem.

According to the information that you provide, it is unlikely that the operating system has returned to Windows 7 on its own, there are a few changes that took place leading up to the OS to roll back.

If the installation of Windows 10 has failed, it would have restored to the previous operating system installation and not after two weeks.

To narrow down the cause of the problem, I would like you to provide the information below:

1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

2 did you receive error messages when the computer restored to the previous operating system?

As you have said that the system restored to the previous operating system, and is in a State that won't start plu. I suggest that you try to restore the system from the Restore page of the system the system is currently blocked in. If you are unable to solve the problem, I suggest that you insert a previous operating system bootable DVD and try to retrieve the comp uter.

Hope this information helps.

  • Empty Connections window network and could not start the network connections service

Problems with Verizon router and during diagnosis discovered that the network connections window is empty (found by clicking on change settings for the network and sharing Center map).  We are currently connected to the Internet with the new router and Ethernet cable, but the cannot connect wireless (what we could do before) - apparently not to display icons in N.C. window is not necessary to have connections.  Found a reference to the network connections service and check it is running as a solution to the window being blank.  The service is not running, and when I try to launch it I get "Error 1083: the executable program that this service is configured to run in does not implement this service."

I've seen a lot of suggestions on fixes for the problem of the empty window.  I did the sfc /scannnow and found no problem.  I tried to update the network adapter driver, but it was very good.  None of the solutions seemed appropriate perfectly adapted to this situation.  Is this really a problem?  Any suggestions on what to do about it?  We are about to use an USB adapter until our connection speed and I want to make sure that everything works first.  Thanks for any help.

With the help of an elevated command prompt I'm unable to start the Sfc/scannow. I checked Services.msc and TrustedInstaller is started. It was suggested that I should check the logs for the System File Checker. However I can only interpret the newspapers and even if I could I do not know how to correct the error that lies in the newspapers. I was wondering if someone would be able to interpret the papers for me and guide me on how to correct errors that may be found in the newspaper that prevent me from running "Sfc/scannow" thanks.

  • Windows Vista: windows could not start error. is suspended from the "Microsoft Corporation" loading bar then black screen BIOS not acpi compliant

After you have installed the driver for the zune hd, I was asked to restart my computer. After the reboot, start froze on a white screen. I've seen this before and it is usually because of some connected usb components. so I manually powered down the Tower, disconnected the cable from zune and restarted. This time a screen saying that windows could not start, "launch Startup Repair tool" was recommended. Select this habit makes the startup hang to the progress bar from Microsoft corporation, then to a completely white screen. Although strangely, once only a blue error screen appears which says that the BIOS is not acpi compatible. I can't restart with F8 to go into safe mode, "windows error recovery" still appears. "Start windows normally"produces the same results as the tool to restart launch system. " I have a drive to upgrade to windows 7 and a windows XP upgrade disk. the disc of windows 7 hangs at "starting windows" and the XP disc gives a blue screen error: stop: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0c 0000034, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 00000000)

    Hello mtb123,

    1. have you tried the steps suggested by Srinivas R in the previous post to make a startup on your computer repair using the Windows installation disc?

    2. you remember what changes you made to the computer before you start this error?

I suggest that you access the system recovery options using a Windows Vista installation disc and do a startup repair and if this fails, you can do a restore of the system from the Windows recovery environment.

You can see the previous post of Srinivas R to verify the information on the system restore.

    Hello

Remember to make changes to the computer before the show?

You can follow the below methods:

Method 1: Restart Windows and try to start the Security Center service.

If you still receive the same error, make sure that the WMI service is launched and running:

    (a) click Start, run , and then type Services.msc

    (b) double-click Windows Management Instrumentation

    (c) set its startup type to Automatic

    (d) click Start to start the service, and then click OK

    (e) restart Windows.

    Method 2: Restart the service

Windows logs an error if the service IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules or the driver does not start, or suddenly, they end.

To restart the IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules service:

To perform this procedure, you must have membership in the local Administrators group, or must you have been delegated the appropriate authority.

    (a) restart the service. You can do this from a command prompt or in the snap-snap-in Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Do one of the following:

    ·         Start an administrative command prompt. Click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. At the command prompt, run the command net start ikeext.

    ·         Click Start, type services.msc in the Search box and press ENTER. In the column name of the Services snap-in, right-click on IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modulesand then click Start.

    (b) if the attempt to restart the service fails, restart the computer. This forces all related and dependent services to restart.

    (c) if the error persists after restarting the computer, then the executable files for the driver or service may be damaged, and the operating system must be reinstalled.

    Note:

You can check that the IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules (IKEEXT) service runs by using the Component Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC) or the net start command line tool.

You can check the link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc733299 (WS.10) .aspx

Try to copy and merge the audio from another Windows 8 or better service.

You can do this by going to the Registry Editor (make sure that the other computer is also a 32-bit system)

Go to HKLM/system/current control set/services/audiosrv click audiosrv and then on the file menu, select export and save the file to a USB key or drive.

Windows 10 has made automatically update 1607 (KB3176936) on the pc of my wife (HP Envy H8-1534) about 6 days ago. Since then I could not start the pc the first time I turn it on.

When I hit the power button on the monitor lights up with the HP logo on black screen as usual but the loading icon (spinning points) does not start. Fans start, but there is no activity on the Tower in the way of flashing lights or beep sounds. If I turned off the pc by using the power button, wait 10 seconds and turn on again, the pc will start up as normal. So far, for the last 6 days, it took the 2nd attempt so that it starts the pc every time. It almost seems as if there are not able to go to the system except for the fans in this first attempt to start.

I ran a test at startup by pressing the F2 key without no problems found. I disabled the SATA power management in the BIOS. I ran the Windows startup with no result repair. Here are the results of the txt file.
