You can't find a driver because HP does not support this printer under Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit).

Read this web page, follow the links, etc.

  • Windows 7 64 bit cannot create local port through registry

    Hi all

I write a vbs to create a local port to connect to our server to printer (ie the local port for \\PrintServer\PrintQueue1). I can create the succesfully local port by editing the registry HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Ports and restart the spooler service in Windows 7 32 bit. However, the same script can not create the port in Windows 7 64 bit. The registry has also been changed, but cannot create the local port after you restart the spooler service. Does anyone know what is difference between 32 and 64-bit Windows when creating the local port?

Turns out in my case is a subtly incorrect registry key in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Ports].  Specifically, the (default) entry has existed as white.  Must read (value not set).  A solution is to export the key to a file... and are looking for online reading: @= "", open the file and delete this line, port of registry and Rename Ports.bad (for backup), and then import the file. "  That's what I did and it worked fine after restarting the spooler.  Another solution might be easier to remove the (default) entry, and then restart the spooler... In any case, I have now all my ports which survive a reboot.

  • Install HP fails under Windows 7 64 - bit for Printer series CP1020

    Hello!

I tried to solve this for days, and I've seen a lot of suspense/unresponded to messages about the same topic so I hope that someone sees this!

    Product & number: Color LaserJet CP1025nw CE914A

Operating system: Windows 7 64 bit

Error message: HP LaserJet Installer has stopped working

Changes made to the system before the error occurred: We have updated our info from the router, so I ran the installation disc to reconnect the printer wireless. He uninstall programs initially added to the sleeve of the printer.

    Details:

-Very well, so 3 days ago we updated our router SSID and password for security reasons. Apparently, there is no easy way to update the details of the network for the CP1025nw so I had to run the installation disc. It prompted me to uninstall the software, reboot, and reinstall. I scoured the guests and then choose 'connect via a wireless network. After searching for the network, I then choose 'installation of Wireless USB '. I have to connect the USB cable when prompted, and as soon as the installation of the drivers I get the Windows error message posted above.  I've attached a screenshot of what appears as well.

Frustrating is that the printer still works after the installation, but only via the USB connection. I need to get wireless working again, but without the software installation work, I can't seem to get there (unless someone knows a hack/work around).

Event Viewer provides the following details about the error in the application:

The failing application name: hpbcsiInstaller.exe, version: 1.5.6.4020, time stamp: 0x4bbf9f17
Name of the failed module: hppccompio. DLL, version: 1.3.0.24, time stamp: 0x4c9685d0
    Exception code: 0xc0000417
    Offset: 0x000073bf
ID of the process failed: 0 x 970
Start time of application vulnerabilities: 0x01cdbc45b6632fa1
    The failing application path: D:\Installer\hpbcsiInstaller.exe
Path of the failing module: C:\Windows\system32\hppccompio. DLL
    Report ID: cb4d353b-2839-11e2-be7e-002564531498

I tried a wide range of solutions and none of them does not seem to work. Everything from the firmware update, delete all instances of files HP, including .inf files, installation with startup programs and services as the basis because they can get, etc.

    Help, please!

    See you soon,.

Okay, well that was a beast of a problem to say the least. I am so relieved to be done with this nonsense.

How it all started - a little recap:

We changed the password on our wireless network we have updated for security reasons.  I could not find all that helped me update the details of the network (password or the SSID) directly on my printer and said all that I had to uninstall and reinstall everything (and re - run the wifi via USB connection). This is not the case - there is a much simpler solution that I have will cover also the end of this post. Anyway, as mentioned above, during the phase of the installation of device drivers, the installation program plant with the Windows message "HP Installer Setup has stopped working".

    How I fixed it:

    1. print a configuration page by pressing the button "resume" for a few seconds and let go. I have taken note of the following in the upper right:

    Status: Not connected
    Network in use: no
    IP address: 0.0.0.0

I myself am continued to ask me if I could connect the printer directly via the port ethernet so I...

2 connect a cat5 from my laptop to the printer.

3 printed a second Setup page. Now, I got the following information:

    Status: connected

    Network in use: Wired

    IP address: 169.254.71.50

    4. I opened my web browser and tried to 169.254.71.50, but the page wouldn't connect. I recently built a computer game and has found a way to bridge the internet from a laptop wireless to a wired device (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96Z1_6rX5qU) so I was wondering if this could work with the printer.

5 filled my network connections and wireless according to the video above.

6a open my web browser and once more tried to navigate to 169.254.71.50 and it WORKED! (Not sure if this IP address is unqiue for my printer, but printing a configuration report is the best place to find it.

    7. I clicked on the Networking tab and then select Wireless Configuration.

    8. from there, I was able to activate my wireless connection, my password wireless update and choose I wanted to connect to the wireless network! This is how you can update your wifi information without having to do a complete reinstall!

    9. I now unplugged the ethernet cable (as suggested next to turn on/off radio buttons. My printer wireless power and is light stayed on. I have now connected once again!

    10. I don't think it was a crucial step, but I also implemented printing mobile ePrint

    11. I printed another page of configuration and can now see the following:

    Status: connected

    Periphery in use: wireless

    IP address: 192.168.1.115

    12. I can now navigate to the printer in my browser using this IP address and was able to find and print on my printer wireless through my phone, but still couldn't print from my wireless laptop.

    13. I inserted the original installation CD, held my breath and clicked on install. Hold your breath here is optional.

    14. He asked how I wanted to connect, and as before, I choose wireless. This time, instead of asking me to connect the USB, it FINDS my printer on the network. I chose this, clicked on continue and all installed successfully!

Everything is now back to normal! I can use my wireless printer once more. Please let me know if anyone has additional information on the steps above need, or if something does not work for you because there is no other solution out there. Believe me, I spent HOURS AND HOURS to research. I hope this helps some of you!

  • Windows 7 64 - bit Macro printing question

I have problems printing using a macro in an application called iNews (made by AVID) on Windows 7 64 - bit installed on new Dell OptiPlex 9020 s.

I've simplified the macro to just {Ctrl + P} {enter} and mouse freezes, keyboard does not (only Ctrl + Alt + Delete), without ANY error messages in the event log.  If I press Ctrl + Alt + Del then Esc, I can get out of the macro and the print job actually ends.  I noticed that the print job is in the queue in the queue, but won't be released only when I press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.

When I completed the steps manually, the computer is not locked and printing works very well. It's only when I use a macro to print.

Here are the troubleshooting steps I took:

AVID contacted and they attempted to help, but it's an OS problem.

The macro works great on Windows 7 32 bit.

    RAN windows updates

    Updated drivers from Dell

For PCL6 and PS drivers printing and I tried the drivers updated (but the problem occurs on more than one printer, even Microsoft XPS Document Writer).

Performed a clean boot (same question at a session of boot)

Similar macro created in Excel works fine.

Started the spooler, deleted files in c:\windows\system32\spooler\printers and stopped the spooler

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Karen

Windows 7 is not a supported for VMware Workstation, host operating system yet.

This might be the reason. As you said, XP requires special handling.

  • WINDOWS 7 64-BIT HP2727NF PRINTER

problems with my printer hpm2727nf laser. It prints well and copy very well, but I have to turn off and on so he could analyze. What should I do? running windows 7 pro 64-bit. any advice would be great, who currently use pcl6 (I think)

You are welcome. I'm happy to help you.  When was the last time you restarted the PC?  I have seen this "Scanner not ready" error when you use other programs to scan in addition to the software of the printer, and some have been without success (may be out of reach if it happens in another program - but I'll still try).

Go to your Device Manager (search for 'Services' when you click the Start button and select the Services with the gear next to her icon) and check your Services.  Make sure that 'Windows Image Acquisition' (WIA) is started and automatic.  It's not bad to stop and start over, but to restart the service is not a common practice (referring to your options at the top when you see this window).

Then make sure that the other two dependencies are running: Detection hardware Kernel and remote procedure call is started and automatic.  Restart the PC and the printer, and then try again.

If this does not work, try another USB cord.  I would like to know how the suggestion above works for you, and if it isn't, I have a few questions about your USB cord.

    I hope this helps!

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: 6830 windows 8 8.1 cannot print from the windows test page

When it is connected to 'own' windows - it prints OK.

When it is connected to the windows where are the normal software like office, autocad, adobe and so those installed, the printer does not print anything - test page from printer properties is the first problem that means...

Only "free software priter" is able to print something (test pages and so one) also print doctor and installation wizzard prints what it can, but not possible 'to normal windows print"... :-(

    It is tested on:

Software for laptop - Win 8 Pro - installed - no. PRINT

    Surface 3 Pro - Win 8.1 - software installed - no. PRINT

Laptop - 8.1 Pro - clean shop - PRINTING POSSIBLE Win (after installation of the driver full download - in a test with autopilot installed it does not print)

Virtual - Win 7 Ultimate - installed software - PRINTING POSSIBLE

(installed software means office, autocad, adobe,...)

It seems that some components of system installed with one software disables printing from windows.

When looked at open before printing to the printer - it shows the print job (which is not printed) for 0.1 second and nothing is displayed - also when the printer is paused - it shows the work and it is deleted immediately - left must work until the printer not suspended...

It is not a firewall issue (tested), it has been tested on: USB, WiFi, LAN. No way to print something from windows 8 and upwards.

seems that it has something with the option run the program as administrator.

tested on some programs - autocad, adobe, word excel,... - when run as administrator it prints OK.

If you do not have the option in the context menu try to hold Shift before made a - right click and run as admin

It's odd - some print settings are transferred with work, for example, winword impression (office) without admin - PDF Factory (virtual printer) - rights and then to the physical printer 6830 - he can't be printed to PDF Factory

But if you start winword as an administrator - so you can print directly or through PDF Factory hassle

    ---------------------------------------------------------

Personally, I see this as a big mistake by Microsoft - that something like this can happen - simple direct printing is not possible after you have connected the printer... :-(:-(:-(

  • PSC 2175 windows 7 64 bit - stopped printing

I have a HP PSC 2175 all-in-one printer/scanner/copier. I use a book ultra HP spectrum 13 w / Win7 Pro, SP1. Windows says that the driver does not work, printing to port USB001 (virtual printer port) the printer used to work fine, then it stopped. I suspect a windows update broke the driver somewhere, but because the driver is now provided with the operating system I can not uninstall and reinstall. All I can do is remove the printer and then add again, that did not work.

The symptoms that are a few lines when printing from Word or PDF can print huge print through from top or bottom of the page, and a bunch of blank pages spit. Using HP print and Scan it says doctor through the correction of errors, but the test page spits out 2 blank pages. Windows test print spits out 3 pages, 2 white and the other with a single line in huge letters in the upper part. Printing a test print notebook product also 2 blank pages.

Now even devices and printers in Control Panel does not respond. I submit this, I guess I'll restart. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    Hi Rainbow-

I ran the HP print and scan doctor a bunch of times in the past, in fact. All he could tell me was to reinstall the printer, who, of course, I can't really because the pilot is now in the operating system. After several attempts to remove the printer and reinstall USB cable, nothing seems to have worked.

Until last night! I had scanned a bunch of pages last night - I had not scanned nothing since the printing problem began. Now, the printer works fine. It must have been a few old cruft somewhere in the communication link that performs a work of analysis seems to have cleared.

I can't say that the scanning was difficult, but I can't say that it wasn't to be.

Problem solved, thank you for all your help and attention - you kept I'm working on the problem, until it fixes itself!

    see you soon,

Not that I know of. You can try emailing HP on it, but I doubt that it gets very far. Engineers and officials of this Department, are those that determine if the new firmware written is worth 'investing', and generally they do not write new firmware for printers that are more than 3 years.
