Windows 7 Audio skip/cutting

Hello, I have been using Windows 7 on this PC for over 2 years now, but I have very recently started having problems with my audio cutting out randomly. The problem comes immediately after the start and is usually after a few hours of use, usually once I'm in a PC game or listening to music. The audio will cut in and out frequently once it starts, and what I'm listening becomes unintelligible due to cut. My temporary solution is to reboot, which gets rid of the problem for a few hours.

The problem persists, all programs, which means that it is not only in games, or only on YouTube, etc. It is quite irritating that I stop what I do to reboot and hope the problem goes away. I did a lot of research and have yet to find a solution. I thought it was my audio drivers, and I didn't know that they were obsolete, so I've updated them, but the problem persists. I guess that the problem has something to do with my use of the CPU, since it happens only a few hours after I start my PC.

Any help would be appreciated!

Audio playback takes usually one deferred "back seat" to other processes deemed most important by the system. I suspect that your system is running several programs more than actually necessary background for normal operation. I suggest that you start in a "clean boot" environment and if the problem did not reassert itself, start watching substantive programs which have been disabled and decide that you do permanently without.

  • Audio skipping

    I had a problem with my audio skipping for about a month. He jumps when I opened several applications or when I switch from one process to another. Audio slows down and becomes extremely crisp and inaudible.
    The problem is not limited to any application into one; It happens in iTunes, WMP, and Youtube among other programs/websites. I tried to buy a new sound card, but it does not solve anything.

    I am running Vista Ultimate on a computer custom; 2 GB DDR2 800, Core 2 E6400, 320 GB Seagate HDD, a nVidia 8600 GT and map its Creative X - Fi Gamer.

  • Window drive audio link to Windows Media Player

    Just refreshed to new PC. Used to be able to listen to audio clips using a window of audio player (like Barnes and Noble). But with the new PC, I get a msg "you need Windows Media Player. Which is already installed. When I "Launch standalone player" WMP will launch and play the music most of the time. How to bind upward WMP in the Audio Player window as before?

    Hello jebe1133,

    · You try to play Audio content of online sites?

    When you try to play content online on Web sites, it will automatically launch Media Player.

    I tried to run the test of the barnesandnoble.com, I see that launching a plug-in to play Audio files, it doesn't have to be manually linked to Media player.

    Try also to set Media Player as default player for Internet Explorer:

    1. open Internet Explorer, click options.

    2. the tab programs, click on the tab Internet programs.

    3. you will get an option to choose Media Player, click Media Player and as a default value.

  • New Audio & video cutting Insync

    How I cut my video and new audio track I just returned my engineer sound synced, so the video & audio automatically cut at the same time, in the same exact spot. Right now it only allows me to edit the video and audio separately.

    If you use the razor tool to cut, hold down the SHIFT key. It will cut through all the unlocked tracks.

  • [Adobe Premiere 5.5] Audio is cut in half

    I noticed that I have audio problems in video clips later. The first approximately 55 clips (MOV001. MOD to the MOV032. MOD (hexadecimal), imported from a camcorder to memory) are fine, but BLAH then on the audio is cut in half which means that I heard the first half, then the sound is completely absent, until the next clip. Then you hear the first half of the audio and then it's completely absent again.

    [Audio is cut in two, because I have too many items in the current sequence?]

    If I open the files in another program, that the audio is full start at the end.

    EDIT: I discovered that the number of clibs in Prem Pro is not serious. If I start a new project, a new sequence and I put some of the clips later in the sequence, the problem persists in these clips.

    Het bericht is bewerkt door: Hans Kamp

    I found a solution to this problem (initially by browsing the topics elsewhere on the internet with a similar problem):

    -Download the handbrake;

    -Specify the map where the source of all (to convert) are;

    -Specify the plan where all destination must be stored;

    -Start the conversion;

    -In Adobe Premiere Pro, specify the new files and add them to the storyboard table.

    Then I see that it is therefore more an audioproblem.

    In a program that costs about 1000 euros (not in the case of promotion code), I would expect it doesn't have these problems.

  • Movie hangs or slows down and audio skips and cuts after import - please help

    Import the clip from the movie and when I play it some of it plays very well, but then it freezes and audio cuts out in various places. He plays all along as the timer works as it should but it's like the film and audio cannot follow. I played the clip in Quick time player / VLC and its fine. I am new to this software so I don't have any idea how to solve this problem. I just updated my version of Premiere Pro, so I don't know its update. I'm working on a PC. Thank you very much.

    Restart the computer and make a new project

    Trash media files.

    Rename the folder in which the clips are

    Import clips and see if it still freezes / jumps.

  • Satellite Pro C650 - Audio keeps cutting

    Hi guys,.

    I searched high and low for the answer to this question and its driving me crazy. I really hope you guys can help out me!

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro C650 01301J laptop running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. I try and listen to the music through spotify or simply using my music in Windows Media Player library.

    However after a while the sound cuts. It is not muted in the mixer and the song continues to play as if nothing has changed, except that I can't hear anything.

    This problem is corrected when I disable and re-enable or increase the volume upwards or downwards using the fn keys.
    When I first start the music it take 5 minutes or more before that happens, but once it starts it stops every 10 seconds or more. It becomes extremely annoying and I am convinced that there must be a solution.

    My audio driver is Conexant SmartAudio HD version 4.119.0.61 CX20671. I tried to remove it and put it back, download an updated old and updated driver. He told me that it's the most recent driver, but its still not solved the problem.

    This happened to someone else? Is there another driver I could try, or maybe a program that is the cause?

    I would appreciate your help in what its driving me crazy not being able to listen to any form of music without it cutting up every 10 seconds...

    Have you noticed this strange question on the first day of use, or later?

    It is not easy to say what the problem is, but I think that it is somehow a software related issue.
    You know what, try reinstalling additional Toshiba package and test it again. I put t know if this will fix it but it is worth trying.

    Please post comments.

Later I put it in Windows Movie Maker to put everything together but after about 5 minutes of game screen just went clip all black with no audio either. This never happened before do - what I do?

    You can also check and make sure that the clip is not cut.
    Click under timeline to expand.
    Go to video, right click on Audio and check to see if the mute setting is enabled.

    I hope this helps.
