Windows 7 clients receive black screen RDP'ing to the 2012 Server

Hello

I have a situation where I have a domain with two machines 2012 Server 2003, which is a domain controller, the other Member.

It seems that none of the Windows 7 clients can connect via RDP to one of the two machines Server 2012. The symptoms are a black screen

Fortunately Windows XP machines can connect to the server of 2012

Machines XP and Windows 7 are members of the domain

Other symptoms include Windows 7 not being machines is not able to connect to Exchange 2010 and OWA does not

I disabled the firewall, disabled group policy. made sure the RDP V8 patch has been applied for W7 clients, saved event logs

I have connected to the server using RDP 2012 on a W8 client (which is not part of the domain), can also use OWA

Thoughts or ideas greatly appreciated

Thank you very much

Simon

    clint341,
    Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers forum.  We cannot guide you more precisely by changing the BIOS settings that the BIOS settings are specific to your motherboard.  However, most (if not all) parameters of the BIOS have an option to restore the default BIOS (sometimes called "default opitimized").  It may be an option in the menu that you highlight, then press enter or it can be assigned to an F key and States at the bottom of the screen, press F? for the default settings.  I hope this helps.  If you are still not able to reset, check with the manufacturer of PC for more information about the BIOS. Replacing the hard drive means a re-installation of the operating system.  Resettlement reign essentially all software issues that may have accompanied the failure of your hard drive.  So the answer is Yes it should solve the problem.

    If you don't have recovery media please contact HP using the information provided above.  I suggest you contact instead of trying to create your own media.  As this will probably be very difficult and problematic on a failing hard drive.

  • Sims 2 questions on Windows 7 (64 bit) - black screen when starting the game

    Questions of title: Sims 2 original on Windows 7 (64-bit)

    The compatibility for Windows 7 thing, says that the Sims 2 and all the expansions will run in Windows 7.

    When I installed in fact all games Sims 2 on my laptop, however, the game does not start.

    I click on the game, opened upward, and I just get a black screen, causing me to have to restart the entire system.

    I tried to run in compatibility mode, which was a no-go. EA customer support asked me to update my drivers, I did. Because none of this worked, I guess that's another problem in Windows 7, so it would be great if I could get a solution to this problem!

    Now when I boot, the BIOS p.o.s.t. shows good HDs, good DVD-Rom, RAM, but Windows never starts, goes just a black screen, HDs are not accessed.

    -F8 does nothing, can't use the last known good Config or Mode safe

    -Removal of mobo battery to reset the CMOS, no joy.

    Note: When you perform a repair installation, it restores the current installation of Windows XP to the version on the installation DVD. This requires you to reinstall all updates that do not appear in this version of Windows XP disc.

    Hello

    A blackscreen can be very hard to fix. It's my generic convenience store which some you already have
    has tried.

    One to try:

    "C:\Windows\System32\winevt" in this folder is an another NEWSPAPER named one

    Rename the folder of NEWSPAPER LOGSold and restart the computer.

    'C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs'-> 'C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logsold '.

    REN C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logsold

    You can try in a Command Prompt of a disk of Vista or a recovery Partition if you can't navigate to
    the actual winevt file.

    You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
    Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
    on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

    Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
    CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
    on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe.

    Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
    That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the

  • Windows Vista installation disc: Black screen with a cursor and then nothing happens

    A blue screen appears when I try to start Windows and I'm trying to fix the computer through my installation disc I have. But when I try to run my Vista disk installation happening by loading the files fine. It then shows a black screen with a mouse cursor that moves. After that, nothing happens even if I leave it for hours to sit. It is a real disk Installation of Microsoft for Vista.

    If a clean installation of a real Installation of Vista disc does not work, then you probably have some kind of hardware problem (and the blue screen, you got before makes this even more likely).  You can try to do some troubleshooting on your own hardware, but frankly you probably put "t have tools or spare parts to do very much.  Here are some instructions that may help:http://elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot.

    If this does not work, then I suggest that you take it to a repair shop of computer with a good reputation for the service where they can troubleshoot, diagnose, identify and possibly repair or replace the problem.  Before you import it in, I suggest that you protect your important data, as it is likely that they will wipe the hard drive clean in the process.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD.  This should hopefully give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.  Otherwise, slave the drive to another computer and copy the data in this way.

    I'm sorry, we can not help more, but from your description there is no option of software if you do not have to do a clean install of an Installation of Vista genuine disc.

    I hope this helps.

  • Could not start - receive black screen

    Im having problems with my windows vista, I can't seem to start, I did close downs, restarts, and now I can't get it to work in safe mode. I don't know what to do, not the PC very warned.

    original title: when you start the pc, windows never starts, so I have a black screen, will only work in safe mode

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Hello
    To begin with, would not be clfs.sys C:\, it would be under C:\Windows\System32. This could indicate one of the following two issues:
    (1) your boot sector is damaged.
    (2) you have a virus masquerading as a legitimate system file.
    For one, the first thing you should try are the steps detailed here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/927392?p=1
