Windows 7: diagnostic policy Service does not

Our internet does not connect to our PC, even when manually connected with the ethernet cable, but all our wireless devices such as iPhones and laptops to connect properly. We troubleshooted and showed a message saying "the diagnostic policy Service is not running, click to start as administrator." After clicking, we are shown that the error is that the diagnostic policy Service is not running (basically going in a circle), error 5. Everything else on the computer works fine, as far as we know.

The night before it was passed, we found a little unbalanced PC Tower and we believe that our cat got on the computer table because the documents were scattered. It is possible that the Tower topple made something come loose which prevents the DPS of the race?

Windows 7 Ultimate.
Lenovo computer.

We tried several system restores that have failed.

I tried all these things and I ended up fix:

go to start, search, type :-cmd, right-click on cmd.exe returned and select "run as Administrator" at the prompt, type: -.

net localgroup administrators / add networkservice
Press enter, and then type:
net localgroup administrators / add localservice
Press enter, and then type:
output
Press enter, and then restart your computer

Open services and make sure that the service is started.

  • Diagnostic policy service will not run despite all methods found to fix

As stated in the subject, I can't get my diagnostic to run, strategy service that prevents me to perform troubleshooting services and others. I started having problems earlier when my laptop stopped while he was starting because the wire had been disconnected and I didn't know it. I've done several things to get to where I can do everything well on, but I always get an error every now and then, and it's bugging me that I have something important works do not here. I am still able to connect to the internet since I did the whole NET add thing, but it does not solve my problem. I reinstalled the networking stuff and messed with the registry as well. I can't understand the problem at all and I was wondering if there is something that I missed somewhere in the forums. I am running windows 7 64 bit. Also I am not able to update windows and have many updates from Add. This is why I need this fixed number so I can run a convenience store for that matter. I'm also out of town for 4 days, but I can come back when I get back.

    Hello

You can perform a clean boot to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This will eliminate the conflicts that occur when you install or run a software program. Click on this link and follow the steps for Windows 7.

When you're already in the boot environment, we suggest that you download the Microsoft easy fix solution to solve the problem that prevents you to Windows Update. Click on this link to download it and run it, and then follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

You can also use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. Steps are described in this link.

  • Windows xp Task Scheduler service does not start

I have a problem with the Task Scheduler in XP SP3 (home edition) service. The service is configured to start automatically, but hangs during startup and the State is 'starting' permanently In this State, I can't start or stop the service manually.  If I disabled the service completely, restart, put it to manual and click Start, I get the following error:

Unable to start the task on the local computer Scheduler service
Error 1053: The service did not demand launch or control in a timely

I am under an administrator with a password account, so that shouldn't be the problem
The CPP and the services event log work correctly (Autostart value)

    I need to get this service running in order to allow the read-ahead on this pc. Currently the prefetch folder is totally empty the .ini file is missing as well as all the .pf files. I tried to rebuild the .ini with the help of the > rundll32.exe advapi32.dll, ProcessIdleTasks< command="" at="" the="" command="" prompt="" but="" this="" doesn't="" do="" anything,="" probably="" because="" of="" the="" lack="" of="" the="" scheduler="" service.="" in="" the="" registry,="" enable="" prefetcher="" is="" set="" to="" 3,="" monitoring="" both="" applications="" and="">

It's curious.  The ST journal file must be in the Windows folder.

I downloaded a copy of the file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311
When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

You have to put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

I don't know where to put the file mstask.ini - windows\system32 maybe?  There is no .ini file in the folder inf. so I don't know and you may need to try different places and keep reading...

I don't think I've never reinstalled TS (but other things) so I did all the instructions on how to do it, but if the installation stops and asks you for a file, at this point, leave the installation 'wait' and then search your HARD drive for the file he wants to (be sure to include the search for hidden and system files too) and if/when you find return to the installation of waiting and fill the void or navigate to the folder where the installation file is enough (point installation where the file is, so it can find the file he wants to) and continue up to the next point.  You may need to do it for multiple files until you get all the way through it and you will see that some are just not on your HARD drive and you need to download.  You can't cancel the installation and start over every time - just work through a single file at a time by pointing the installation to the folder where the file he needs.

Maybe later, I reinstall my TS service to practice and be able to understand the files he needs and give some better advice about this.

Comodo may also interfere (I do not use it, but it's possible).  Did you see if your TS will start with disabled Comodo?

You should also consider the malware, then you might want to start with this:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

  • Wireless not working and from "diagnostic policy service" gives error 1053

    Hello

I have a problem with the connection to wireless internet. The router is working because I can get online to other computer and iphone. The question seems to be from my laptop.

    Laptop: Sony Vaio VPCEA
    Windows 7 Home Premium

I was able to connect to the wireless using this laptop last night, but today in some sort it has stopped working. When I try to connect it says "restricted access". I have tried rebooting, removing the memory and of course Google wireless network, but nothing seems to work.

When I tried to solve the problem, it says "diagnostic policy service does not work. So I went into Services and tried to turn it on (START) "Political diagnosis Service" but it gives me "error 1053: the service has failed to demand launch or control in a timely. I read online to install .net Framework 1.1 service Pack1 to get rid of this problem. But which is not supported by Windows 7, the more I installed 4.0 Framework, which should have taken care of this problem.

Another suggestion is to disable the firewall and I noticed that my firewall is already turned off and I can't turn it on. I had the external anti-virus software, which I removed for this problem, but nothing works! When I tried to turn on the Firewall Services' Windows I get an error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. Dependence are: Base filtering engine and Windows Firewall authorization driver. Who do not start.

I tried fixing the registry using the Wise Registry Cleaner. Clean something, she has not fixed any problems yet.

    Help, please. I'M FRUSTRATED!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi bberringer,

The original message has been able to resolve error 1053 by reinstalling Windows. If you have not reinstalled Windows, I would say the following steps before you spend money on the circuit board. If you already try reinstall Windows and always have failed, I suggest the internet search (or the site of the manufacturer if your computer is a Dell, Acer, HP, etc.) for the same or a Platinum compatible as prices can vary according to your computer brand and model.

  • Windows 7 64 bit - Diagnostic Policy Service won't start - error 5 access is denied

    Hello

I am getting the Diagnostic Policy Service error 5 access denied. I can't start the service no matter what I do. I did all of the following without success and need urgent advice as gone through a lot of forums without success.

    (1) used the subinacl tool to reset my security clearance on all the registry files grant complete access to administrators and system without success

    (2) have started my pc using MSCONFIG in a configuration minimum diabling all non-microsoft services, and it did not solve my problem.

    (3) I tried to add/remove a feature of Windows like Windows Media Player and when the shuttdown system displays a msg saying that Windows could not configure your system so that the new setting, windows will revert to the previous state. and the media player is always on display.

The fact that the Diagnostic Policy Service does not stop me using my Dial-up connection using a wireless modem using the PC card, it gives me Error 797 Port is not available. My dial-up show property of connection in the general tab, under connect using this says: device Unailable deleted (). So I have no internet on PC card, even if the device is detected by Windows and I see it as Iburst Terminal.

I also have a problem, when I click on the phone and Modem in Control Panel, I get following error: phone and Modem Control Panel can not be opened. You can have a problem starting Telephony Service.

I checked the Telephony Service it is configured to automatically and it is started. (I tried stop/Start) but doesn't solve is not my problem.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

    Dear I.  Suuresh Kumar,

Your silence to my post 2 has left me no choice to do a repair of Windows 7 upgrade. For the people who run the same problem, I found that it was the only alternative because none of Microsoft could give me an answer. I found a post that explains how to make a repair upgrade, which, for me, took place between 13:30 and completely finished and successuflly at 20:00.

What it does, it re - install a clean version of Windows and keeps all your programs/settings/drivers/connections etc... intact. It was my solution. My system is now clean and without any problem. TKS at the following link.
