Windows 7 hangs for an hour up selecting a user in addition to comments

I have a Dell N3050 which my last HD out crapped on new drive installed.

After installing windows 7 with SP1 on a new hard drive of 1 t, I was able to connect to my users normally. But after I connected to the internet and installed the windows updates record on any newly created user, or old except for comments takes an hour to arrive.

I tried the following and in safe mode starts normal. And also played start diagnosis and it passes without flaws.

I tried step 2 clean boot and still have the same question. Have reloaded windows 7, 2 times with the same result ok until the updates of windows to the low load. Step 1

1. reboot your computer.
2. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 on your keyboard key repeatedly until you are presented with the screen Windows 7 Advanced Startup Options.
3. using the arrow keys, select the desired option of Mode safe.
4. press the Enter key on your keyboard to start in safe mode of Windows 7.
5. when Windows starts, you will be at a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Windows 7 goes into safe mode.
6 do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

If it works fine in safe mode try performing a clean boot in order to find the cause root.
Step 2.
You can try a method clean clean boot to find out which application is causing the problem.
Clean clean boot.
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
The user account control permission.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type
password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load starting points.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Also, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software problem on your computer.

Reset the computer to start as usual

8. When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
9. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
10. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
11. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

Hi Ron,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community.

There may be several reasons such as the computer infected with a virus, drivers, conflicts with other programs, malicious software and memory, damaged user account, corrupt Windows system files or if you have made significant changes to hardware or software. As you've already tried in safe mode and the clean boot and don't you did not help. Please, try the methods below and see if it helps.

Method 1:

Try the procedure described in the following Microsoft Help article.

  • Windows Explorer hangs for a long time after the installation of the latest updates from Microsoft

    Hello!

Yesterday, I downloaded and installed the latest Windows updates on the Web from Microsoft by using Windows Update.

After that, I see a strange thing from time to time.

Sometimes when I open Windows Explorer or on a list of logical drives reader app, the hangs of the application for 10-15 minutes (not answer).

While it hangs, other applications can function normally if they don't read the list of drives, for example, I can use Internet Explorer at the same time.

The appearance of the problem is unpredictable, it can happen after 10 to 20 minutes of work after the reboot, or even after 1-2 hours of labor.

My OS is Vista Home Premium x 64, laptop Pavilion dv7 - 1157 cl.

At the moment I don't have any antivirus software or third party drivers (I configured factory drivers only).

Event log Windows contains no error messages, all devices are displayed in device in the form of work normally without errors management.

I ran the test of memory with the memory diagnostic tool, it found no errors.

Here is the list of the installed Windows updates.

Do you have any suggestions? There may be a problem already known with some updates?

I'm surprised, there is no answer at all.

Well, the problem has been successfully resolved by installing Vista SP2 RTM. My test program has been run 20 hours and showed no delay.

    • What you have already tried to solve the problem I tried startup repair, but that has not worked. Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer when you used the last time? For example, you have installed updates or a program of ny?

    Method 1.
First check to see if there are external devices attached to the computer, if so remove and check.

    Method 2.
    Step A.
Start your computer in safe mode and check if it starts.

    Step B.
If it starts on the desktop in safe mode and then set your computer to the clean boot and check if it starts successfully. If it starts successfully can be a third-party application or service is causing the problem. We can use the approach 50 / 50 to narrow down the root cause of the problem.

Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 3.
I recommend you to restore system using a Windows Vista DVD.

    Here's how:
To open the Options menu system recovery using a system repair disc or a Windows Vista installation disc.
If your system is damaged and cannot access the menu system on your computer Recovery Options, you can access it using the Windows Vista installation disc or a system repair disc previously.
To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.
    a. Insert the disc.
    b. restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
    c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.
    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    e. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click on repair your computer.
    f. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.

    g. in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it and then choose the system restore and check.

  • I tried to get my computer back to windows 7 now for 3 hours. I don't know how I got windows 10. Please help me.

I want windows 7 back. I don't want windows 10.  Please help me

I do not recommend coming back because I've seen too much to go wrong.
Returning can be done only if you have installed in the past 30 days (if you created a new user, you should remove it before come back you)

Back on the settings > update & security > Recovery > roll back to a previous operating system

This will only work if the windows.old and 2 hidden folders ($Windows. ~ WS & Windows $. ~ BT) are still present.  If you do that you will need to re - install.
  • KB2770816 fails and "Configuration Windows Updates" hangs for 30 minutes at the stop/restart to 15%

    Hi Chris,

It would be great if you remember to do it when you return, there is no problem for me to wait before the end of the month.

I'll catch up with you then.

    Kind regards

    Chris.

Hi everyone who has problems with the installation of patch number KB2770816 especially those with a Medion computer. I had this problem since early August and contacted Microsoft. They worked on my PC in the last two days and have now to rectify the problem. They will post how to solve this problem in due course. The information on the pages of the community regarding the evolution of the registry entries are incomplete. Until the correct information is available, I would recommend that 'hide you' this update to avoid delays when you restart your PC, etc. After you installed the updates. I can not praise Microsoft technicians quite strongly on how they have dealt with this problem for me and would recommend others to use its easy when things go wrong.

So it takes 2 minutes to XP display the shutdown options.  I checked the event viewer, and it seems to point the problem to some sort of DCOM error. I have provided a screen shot of this error in the event viewer. Unfortunately, it is in Finnish, but it is essentially saying that 'a server (981... '. services.msc in msc, scroll through, double-click one, review its properties...

In addition, to give the stop or restart the pc, a faster time, go to run, type: regedit

    In regedit, expand: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel configuration/locate & L.click on

AutoEndTasks, go to edit, modify, set to 1 between 0 and family on regedit.

This gives faster response, but the problem lies in the performance of services, Msconfig

Zone Alarm has a key valid license - but for some strange reason, he will not have, so I had to uninstall and reinstall ZoneAlarm - he tells me that I need this update - who will not come?

Note: Windows Firewall is turned on right now and when I look at 'exceptions' does not offer updates of windows as part of the selection list.

    Hi Mandude,

What Windows version\edition you run the computer?

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the mouse and keyboard > check if installation of update takes place more quickly

Step 2: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below, which deals with a similar question

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista and Windows 7
