  It was reported that Sony Blu - ray players give problems, but after reading some of these threads, it looks more like a software problem.

  When you install the drive and startup, Windows automatically installs the driver (s) for you. HP Media Smart DVD is the only software to playback Blu - ray that HP has to offer, and it can be problematic.

  I would recommend buying some third party software form ArcSoft or Cyberlink. Don't forget that Cyberlink makes the software for HP, so if you have problems with MS DVD, then they can occur with Cyberlink. You can always use first of all of their trial.

  Save it on the desktop and install it from there, not in a temporary folder. If you use Commodo Fire Wall or AVG anti-virus software, these must be disabled before you download and install MS DVD.

  If you have problems to install MS DVD, post again and there is round so he could install.

  Hmmm, your file is a little weird. for me, he moved without my intervention (for example, open the device, update drivers Manager, etc.).

  I think you should try to use admin from the start (right click on the file, run as administrator), instead of simply by double clicking it and accept UAC confirmation. See if it's working. This is how I do all facilities. For some programs, it makes a difference.

  Also check your task manager to see if setup.exe or some install .exe files are running. If this is the case, the best thing to do is to finish the installation process, or better yet, restart before trying again. If this does not work, maybe your file is corrupted. (normally it may not even be opened, but I found a corrupt installation files, which can be executed, but stuck when you reach the corrupted part).

• Support for HDX 9010nr video drivers

  HP does not support the HDX 9010nr.  This is obviously a big disappointment for the owners of this laptop great.  Is there another source of support.  The main problem is the driver for the Radeon 2600.  This would make the system usable.  Everything except the quick launch buttons seem to work. (And they have never worked very well in the first place.)

• HDX 9010nr hd dvd drive dead

  Hi all

  My hd dvd player is detected by the Manager of peripheral but said that the driver could not load.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the drive and the drivers do not seem to work.  The killer is that it happened under warranty but I had a huge multimedia project going on and I could not be without the computer for 10 days.  The project lasted for MONTHS and now I'm out of warranty.  Replacement drive is $ 300!  Any suggestions?

  I installed windows 7 on my hdx 16 and I need drivers for the printer / photosmart premium 309 c. Someone at - it a chance for the two to work together?

  I downloaded version 13 and have tried to install/uninstall several times. This includes the removal of the printer devices and Device Manager. When I try to reinstall I usually get a fatal error during 'configuration', the last step. I can print to the printer and I can run most of the photo. The center of solution won't work, which is a key piece of software for this printer. Any ideas?

  I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (not beta). This software is properly installed on virtual xp but I prefer to run from 7.

• Can not find drivers for Windows 8.

  I just installed Windows 8 on my HDX 16 and soon I found the drivers for the network adapters are not installed by default. When I go to the HP Web site, it has no drivers for Windows 8, Windows 7 only. When I tried to install drivers windows 7, he told me it was bad verson. It was for the Ethernet port. For my wifi, it tells me I need to have the .net framework 2.0 or higher and will not let me install this driver. After making sure that I installed the latest version, it still does not detect that I have the latest .net.

  I don't know why HP has no support for Windows 8 drivers, so any help would be appreciated.

  Check if youre running the power save mode (or balanced) in windows power settings. It is possible that the power of OS saving mode goes your gpu to x 1. Also check if you have the latest version of the bios and check the bios settings.

  better would be to launch cpu - z (http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz/cpuz_152.zip just run the .exe) once all just inside windows and then all within a game (just alt - tab or alt + ESC or press the windows button to access the desktop computer). even if a game is running, it should get up to 16 x.

  I have laptop HP HDX which had a sound problem with message of error "Could not play the test tone", tried in several ways by online suggestions and ended to reinstall the new copy with recovery disk. As part of the recovery with a reovery of HP drive, I tried to get it back and it formatted boot partiion and got this error message "error 1002 if the problem persists, please contact HP support. My laptop is out of warranty now.  I talked to HP support and they ask me to buy new drives recovery and someone in this forum mentioned that recovery disk will lift the same mistake and we would need to purchase technical support and even that has not worked for soembody after paying $ 200 to support. I am struck with recovery of the laptop now. I also tried the recovery partition revovering and gave rise to no luck.  I'm now out of warranty.

  I am really fedup with bearing on my this laptop windows vista 64 bit HP HDX laptop problems. What is your best suggestion for me to recover my windows vista now?

  I ordered the drive to restore HP for $ 16 and I have no problem in my OS with this disk recovery. Recovery partition that came with my laptop had this error 1002 and he really tortured than me. It is recovered successfully with this new disc of recovery with on all issues.

  I would have saved a lot of time, would not have had any stress and restore ($16) if HP disks price had built the free bug recovery partition.

  I'll be very careful in buying HP products in the future.

• HDX 16: id and password to open windows

  After windows 10 improvement, my log in and password to open windows on my laptop computer has been changed to my outlook id and the password.  I don't want that and want to return to my former paper in and the password to open my computer.  It resembles outlook has taken over my computer.  I don't want someone who uses my computer to get my outlook id and the password, but don't want guests to be able to connect and use my computer.

  Windows 10 help suggests I ask HP.

  How do I get my computer, login and password to the way it was?

  I finally decided to upgrade the installation of windows 7 Professional s.o.. I was able to update the drivers for all devices. The only problems concern the use of the Media Center remote control and fast touch buttons. For remote control, I think that the problem is related to the infrared port driver.   It seems that your computer meets the minimum requirement for the installation of Windows 7. Please download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to confirm this before installing Windows 7.

  Here is the HP Pavilion HDX9050EL PC drivers page for your computer. HP has provided only the Windows Vista drivers for your computer.

  If you have not already done so, please create your personal set of HP recovery disks before installing Windows 7.

  You should use HP Notebook System BIOS update version F.41 (Intel processors) before the upgrade to Windows 7.

• Pavilion HDX 16: Windows 7 does not start after the upgrade to Windows 10

  I have a system to dual-boot with windows 7 and ubuntu (with Windows 7 and NeoGrub Bootloader Windows Boot Manager).

  Recently, I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 via free upgrade offered by SM. However, I didn't like windows 10 and tried to upgrade to windows 7 by the following settings-> update of the security & -> Recovery-> Go Back to Windows 7.

  After the long process of decommissioning, cannot start windows 7 and the "Startup Repair" tool began to run. However, he could not solve the problem. Other recovery options 'system restore' and 'image system recovery' is not such that it could not find any restore point or the image created previously (I'm sure it were created before upgrade restore points).

  So, although I can boot ubuntu without any problem, I can't start windows 7. After the "starting windows" screen, I get the blue screen (a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down...).

  I intend to use the DVD to install windows 7 for repair, but

  (1) I don't know if I can boot from the CD because it is a dual-boot configuration

  (2) I'm afraid of losing work ubuntu OS.

  Sorry, but there are a lot of reports on forums of Win10 the option of GoBack does not always work correctly.

  You should be able to boot properly from the same DVD of Win7 if you dual-boot with Ubuntu, but be aware, if the startup repair works (you may need to run three times), it will replace the link to start Linux in the MBR and after that, the machine starts immediately to Win7.  You will need to reinstall GRUB to get Ubuntu boot back.  You may be able to fix the boot of Ubuntu using repair boot: Boot-Repair - Community Ubuntu Documentation
