Windows 7 "Playback devices" do not recognize all options of reading?
Hello
I just changed my motherboard to a 'Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. model EP45-UD3P (Socket 775)"because my previous motherboard my have broken, (now I think that he could have the power supply, go figure).
In any case, during the installation of the Windows 7 OS it have no sound options connected to the motherboard. The first audio option that I hung has my Philips flat screen TV via a HDMI cable to the video card. This was immediately recognized.
Since then, I've hung up a Toslink cable to fiber optic to the motherboard to the receiver, this is not recognized at all.
The only option that appear when you right click on the sound icon raise all the audio options and clicking on the 'reading devices' is the HDMI video card on television.
Why Windows 7 will not be recognized the Toslink or analog options at the back of the motherboard?
What can I do to fix this?
I tried the tool audio Microsoft fixit, but nothing happened. Please, is there a way for it to work properly. Thank you.
John
After contacting the seller on eBay and them, which suggests looking in the BIOS I was able to get all the play back option to appear to "activate" the audio option under Advanced options in the BIOS.
The seller said that this motherboard has already been used in a HTPC (Home Theater PC) and only the HDMI necessary option available.
Here, the issue is resolved and I am able to listen to my music and movies through the optical audio or Toslink option so I'm a happy camper!
Now, if only to get the IR to work with the remote for their 2250 Hauppauge TV card.

Playback devices does not recognize an output HDMI for sound!
I have my HDMI connected with video but my output of sounds/audio/playbackdevices does not recognize that I have a connected TV, how do audio? theres no monitor to set as audio device by default!
Normally, HDMI carries audio as well as video, so choose HDMI as the included default playback device work. If you don't see a HDMI, try:
Click on:
Start-> Control Panel-> Sound > tab reading .
Now right click on an empty area and make sure that see the disabled devices and see the disconnected devices are enabled (checked). If your playback device (HDMI) appears, right-click on it and select enable. Now, right click on them again and select set as default device.
If the above does not try to install the latest package of graphics driver that they usually contain the necessary audio drivers for output over HDMI.
You can also check that your graphics card is capable of audio over HDMI output as some may not.

Windows XP, when started, do not recognize all of RAM
The BIOS says I have 512 MB of RAM, but when Windows XP boots completely and I check the properties on my general tab of the computer and I said I'm only 448 MB of RAM. The first times before my departure for the BIOS Windows XP said I only 248 RAM initially. What is happening with this? I realized that what was going on when I went to install a program that requires at least 500 MB of RAM and insofar as I had only 448 MB of RAM Windows XP says it would not install. Why Windows only recognizes only a part of my RAM and how I can fix? Windows seems to work perfectly, even if he does this. I can't understand what is happening. I have a HP Compaq Presario SR1620NX. If anyone can help the right answer, it would be GREATLY appreciated. :-)
Welcome to the forum.

1. you have any third-party burning software installed on your computer?
2. have you checked if the external CD drive works on another computer?
I suggest that you check if your internal CD-ROM drive is detected in the BIOS.
Usually, you must press a key (for example, F2, F12, DEL, ESC) or a key combination whenever you turn on your computer, but before I get to the BIOS to start Windows. Check to see if there is the CD/DVD drive in the BIOS.
You can see the article for more information about the BIOS:

Regarding the external CD/DVD drive, I suggest you see if it works on another computer.
Thank you

Windows 7 Starter Edition does not recognize a hard drive WD
Windows 7 Starter Edition does not recognize a hard drive WD, I used until last month. Device Manager sees it, he sees the USB controller (it lists as a mass storage device), but I can't access the information on the hard disk, or make use of the last backup. I tried to uninstall USB drives - it is not the thing. It gets listed under disk drives.
Thanks for the reply.
There was no error message: the device has been recognized (listed) by the USB controller and the Device Manager, but not by the management of the disks - so I couldn't access.
I managed to fix the problem after:
-J' scanned the computer (DELL Inspiron) with the Safety Scanner
-J' completely uninstalled all the software associated with an external hard drive
-J' uninstalled the USB controllers
-reboot the system
-reconnected the external HD
-After gaining access to the drive, I installed the dedicated softwareBest regards

"Video playback device does not support protected content playback.
It is a system with tuner via SiliconDust HD Homerun first. QuickTV works very well. The temporary fix was noted by optimizing and reducing the WMC window temporarily fixed direct reception of TV tuner. You are looking for a permanent solution.More in detail about this problem with DRM can be found here:http://www.Silicondust.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=13923&p=85683#p85683and here:http://www.thegreenbutton.TV/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3760&p=36116&Hilit=the+video+playback+device+does+not+support+playback+of+protected#p36116
Have tried all of the above tactics. Still not play a "Update Ready" on step 14.Any ideas what I'm missing here. Windows 8-64 bit Pro with the Add on WMC.Also, I must say that I am very disappointed that MS has taken to "Stay on top" setting to keep WMC above other windows version Win8 out. What could be the reason for this? Forces to some third-party utilities user / app.1. the error message was in my topic:"Video playback device does not support protected content playback.2. the excruciatingly detailed troubleshooting steps are listed in the links that I showed in my post.In any case, after trying a bunch of stuff and you try to reset the DRM / play ready through my above links, I made the point #1 as shown in the instructions below:http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/976590For some reason, this protected download digital file and update of WMC to play this sound file now seems to have fixed the problems that I had the problem of "video playback device does not support protected content playback.Really a frustrating thing.I had some problems with the installation of a driver from chipset for a new motherboard, I had to install and it seemed pretty hardware changes to have upset the loan play in my Win8 - 64-bit Pro installation. In any case, looks OK now. -

Windows XP Movie Maker does not recognize my camera Canon HF R10. Canon is also not listed as a brand for the digital display when I connect the device to the computer.
=========================================
Movie Maker has been designed to download from mini-DV cameras
connected with FireWire... (they record at small cassettes... not
flash drives)The best would be to download the video files in a folder on your
hard drive... convert the WMV movie format and then import
in Movie Maker. If you connect the camera via a cable USB and go to... My computer...
It should be recognized as a drive. If it's... you can download it from
there by copy and paste or drag and drop.Good luck...

Hi Bill,
You can try the following steps and check:
Method 1:
Connect the HTC Fuze to the computer, and then run the fixit and see if that makes a difference.
Automatically, he diagnoses and fixes problems with the hardware. (USB) Keyboard and mouse are not detected by the Manager of devices or when they do not work.
Method 2:
If method 1 may not then try the following:
If you are running Windows Vista 32 - bit, then Uninstall and reinstall the same.
Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit)

This message started on my installation of windows 7 media center with the installation of tuner Cable Digital ati a few months. I had the computer in my office with no monitor for a while and watched TV through my xbox on my samsung ln52b610. so I decided to connect to the PC directly to the tv and now get this message saying 'error display driver - video playback device does not support playback of protected content'. the strange thing is that if I go full screen, then new Media Center, here again, it seems to go away (most of the time). my video card is a 8500gt nvidia with hdmi output and I tried the latest driver from them and still no worky.
Take a look at the support links that can help solve your problem.

the bluetooth on my windows 7 64 device could not be installed. where cn I download these drivers
If the bluetooth device is built into your computer, go to the site of the manufacturer of the computer, search for your computer model number, select the Windows operating system and you will find drivers for your bluetooth devices that are integrated.
If it is a separate bluetooth device, please search for the device manufacturer's Web site and get the drivers of their support area.
Additionally, when you install the bluetooth drivers, make sure that the bluetooth device is ENABLED (check the Device Manager) and turned on.

Hello everyone
I am a user of hearing CC/CS6 and want to burn the MP3 files on a CD - R using either version.
In both versions of the hearing, when I selected Audio burn on a CD, the dialog box burn Audio appears saying "no media found in the device. Insert a blank recordable CD media, close the drawer, then try again. »
All the CD - R which I inserted to be recognized in Windows Explorer and it is only the hearing which does not recognize one of them.
If anyone has an idea why this can happen, please post a message.
Best regards

Although the CC/CS6 hearing on my desktop Windows 8 Pro 64 - bit does not recognize CD - R, the same software on Mac Book Pro and Surface Pro recognize and can burn!
Problem solved.
