Windows 8 and MS office professional 2010

Hello

I am looking to buy a laptop HP 2000-2c32NR.  It comes with Windows 8.  The agent told me I can't install Microsoft Office Professional 2007 or Microsoft Office Professional 2010 on the laptop.  I have licenses for both of my job.  Is it true or wrong associated sale?  I would like to buy the laptop but don't want to buy a separate MS Office product if I can't because I still have remaining licenses available.

Please notify.

Kind regards

StormShadowPab

Well, as I said, I have Office 2007 on my W8 OS and it works beautifully.

I don't know what else to add.

If you are going to try to get the key, you do not want to delete the version existing - at least not until you have extracted key information.

If you just install the download, in other words, you have your license key, I think that the installation of the download will guide you.

Most installation packages have the ability to detect existing software; Once the software is detected, the current program will be either deleted, ignored, or, where appropriate, will remind you to remove the existing program before proceeding with the new installation.

  • After uninstalling printer Windows Installer and Microsoft Office error "this update package not could be opened"

Original title: Windows Installer and Microsoft Office problems after you have uninstalled the printer

I tried to install more than one printer, a HP Photosmart C4280 by downloading the drivers and updates on the HP site. I uninstalled the printer after it failed to scan a document and I had no more use for it. Then the trouble started. When I tried to open some programs (iTunes, Skype, etc.) for the first time after the uninstall of the printer, a window "Windows Installer" popped up. After you have configured Windows Installer, the program would open normally. However, when I try to open any Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), Windows Installer appears, but it turns into a window that reads:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer update package. »

Microsoft Office programs are open at all, and I desperately need my programs of Microsoft Office to work even faster. I would appreciate it if Windows Installer will stop trying to configure when I open a program also. Can someone help me please?

  • Resettlement and reuse of Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 licenses?

    Hello

I have a laptop with Windows 7 Pro AO LATAM installed and MS Office 2010 installed.

The OS came installed when the laptop was purchased, and the MS Office was installed later.

I don't have the installation media of the any of them.

What I want is to format my laptop and be able to reinstall the OS and MS Office.

    Questions:

    (1) how can I get/download the installation media for them?

    (2) is it possible to reuse Windows license/activation key?

    (3) is it possible to re-use the MS Office license/activation key?

I hope you guys can give me some advice!

    Thanks in advance!

    (1) how can I get/download the installation media for them?

Where did you get the Microsoft Office if it has been installed? You must have a license for Microsoft Office as well as the key of original product, installation files. If someone simply installed for you, then its not real likely.

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press F8 on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

    (2) is it possible to reuse Windows license/activation key?

You can reuse the license on the same computer, but no where else.

    (3) is it possible to re-use the MS Office license/activation key?

Only if it is licensed to retail that you have purchased.

  • Windows XP Professional said that he has failed the Windows Genuine Advantage test. But I called the Windows Activation and the officer confirmed that my product key is genuine. How can I make Windows genuine?

I recently bought a copy of Windows XP Professional. I installed and activated Windows XP while I had an Internet connection. This went well. I then download Microsoft Security Essentials, who then informed me that my copy of Windows is maybe not authentic. Confused, I downloaded the WGA tool, who confirmed that my Windows XP was not authentic.

The Microsoft product activation call and reading my product to a CSR key, he confirmed that the key was official and I have to contact Technical Support. But Tech Support costs a bit of money, and I'm only 15 years to be honest (Yes, I have a bit of technical knowledge).
My question is this: is it possible that I can make genuine Windows? This problem is getting boring now. I tried to reinstall Windows XP and re - enter the product key (I tried an online activation and a phone).
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I suggest you to see link below and check if it helps.

  • Update Windows 10 and OEM Office Starter

I couldn't find anything about it except for Windows Media Center, that no longer work and when I downloaded the app it says there is no problem with my computer, but for another laptop, when I contacted the manufacturer, they said that Office Starter 2010 would no longer work after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows on a 64-bit 10 decided to keep Windows 7 only I have no desire to have to download the full version! I know there are freeware word processors and spreadsheets, but much like the Office Starter programs.

My HP is a 32-bit and I have the same question. Let Office Starter 2010 after the upgrade? It came pre-installed HP.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

'Office Starter 2010' is a Microsoft product, I don't think that HP can control this. Microsoft has withdrawaled 'Office Starter 2010' of Windows 8 and I do not think that they would continue with Windows 10. Please check:

  • Installation of Windows 7 and Microsoft Office registration.

I have a laptop gave me a few years ago by my University because of my dyslexia. The lap top came with Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 already installed OME. I have no number or product key, I want to remove Vista and install Windows 7, which I brought it. How can I save Microsoft Office during this operation.

I don't know what is 'OME of office. "  There is no such sequence.  Perhaps you mean "OEM", but which is not yet say what you have.  Perhaps mean you "Office Home and Student 2007".  For example, why not open Word, click on the file tab, then help.  Your office suite should be registered.  There may be a place where you can download your suite Office 2007.  See http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-office_install/here-are-the-download-locations-for-office-2010/ac67aa2f-dc1c-46f4-8b1d-ca00b3f02a18

Legally, if someone gives or you sells a PC, they are bound to you or sell you the licenses for the software installed on this PC as well.  Apply to the University for the license keys they need you.  They should also provide all material supplied with the PC as the installation diskettes.

Maybe your PC has a recovery partition.  In this case, you can create a recovery disc for yorself.  These records must contain the material to reinstall everything that came installed in the factory.  See if you can create these discs, an optical disc or on a USB key.

There are free tools that can help you recover the licesne key of installed software.  See this: http://answers.microsoft.com/message/1d5260c5-0dff-4756-9b53-82f0edc9c498?threadId=09835b9f-eeb6-4aee-87e0-c553e05e8031

  • HP G62t and Microsoft Office Starter 2010

My previous HP laptop (dv2854se) in brick after only 2 years. The NVIDIA graphics card has overheated and destroyed my laptop, which is a question well documented with this laptop, but unfortunately the laptop was no longer under warranty.

I just bought a new laptop HP G62t 250 that came with MS Office Starter. (I hope I do not regret this purchase of an another HP laptop). I would like to install the MS Office Professional 2007 software with my previous laptop HP, I bought two years ago. When I load the CD and enter the product key, the s/w brings me to go to the s/w already approved. I can't do that because my previous phone is completely dead.

Is there something I can do? I ask on the HP forum because I usually know a response rate fast here on the site of Ms. I'm already discouraged on the short life of my previous laptop, and I would prefer not to have to buy new MS Office Professional.

    Thank you.

When you use the upgrade of media, you must have a license for a previous version of Office key, then enter your key for the version upgrade, i.e. How does the upgrade, otherwise people would buy the reduced upgrade version and install it on the cheap.

    It requires 2 keys.

  • Authenticity of Microsoft Office Professional 2010

How can you ensure that they are buying a product Microsoft Office Professional "authentic"?  I want to buy one on Criagslist.   The owner says it is still wrapped in plastic and claims that it is new.  In addition, the owner said that I can install the program on my computer at home and its Wifi allows you to install the updates.

Is a reference product # required to install updates?  And if yes, it would be that the program is a genuine product of microsoft?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't know if I can be of great help. To a large extent, trust your instincts. Given that you can I didn't look the part in your hands, you have to rely on the description and photos. Thus, the usefulness of the quality of the presentation (image quality and text, seals of authenticity and al are greatly reduced.

There is the general rule - if it sounds too good to be true, it's probably. I wonder why someone has purchased a product and then not want or need, it reduced to the point of sale for refund. After all, it is still in its unopened packaging. I worry, somewhere, he "fell a truck." That is perhaps quite legitimate. But what are the chances. See the general rule.

Just my thoughts. Of course, it is entirely your decision.

I placed blank DVD-R discs in drive E and she cannot finish the backup. I can not change the configuration or save it on a USB key I either. Could someone help me. Thank you. Barbara

    Hi Barbara,

    (1) what is the exact error message you receive when you try to back up?

    (2) do you get an error message when you try to change the configuration of backup?

Method 1: Put the computer to boot and then check to see if you can save

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

Method 2: You can follow the steps described in the article below

Error message when you try to perform a full backup on a Windows Vista-based computer: "the application cannot be performed because of an i/o device error."

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

Method 3: You can run the fixit available in the article below and check to see if that corrects the problem of backup settings

You cannot change the settings for a file backup operation or use the Windows Task Scheduler to change the schedule of defragmentation in Windows Vista

See the article below, which deals with a similar question

  • Windows updates and Microsoft office disappeared

I installed the following updates: KB959426 KB960803, KB952004 KB905866, KB890830, KB956572, KB959426, KB963027, KB960003, KB915597.  KB951847 tried to install several times but keeps default.  When installing all the updates, I had a blue screen and once the computer restarted, updates after installation and all seemed well.  Fine, until I tried to open Microsoft Outlook and Word.  All my Office programs are now uninstalled or for some reason, works properly and I still get invited to install.

I tried a system restore and nothing - I received a message saying restore failed.

    No idea what past?

    Hi sherylls

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem.

Question: The Windows update install you installed, what was the installer of Windows or the Windows Installer Cleanup utility?
If it wasn't the cleanup utility, please get it from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Re-install Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2007 to keep

I have an Alienware m15x, I bought from Dell in 2009. I customized my order when I bought, so it came with Microsoft Office pre-installed. The summer is slow and I got diverted by some viruses adware because of my carelessness, so rather than understand how if RID and clean my system, I decided to start again and re - install Windows 7. Is saved in my restore partition so if I restore, office will be re-installed too?

Your Microsoft Office 2007 will not be saved on the original image. You should have received an identity card of Microsoft product with your system that contains your 25-digit product key. You can use this to download an installer for the product activation and Microsoft. For more information including the download link, see my Download Microsoft Officewiki.

If you do not have your MPI card, then run Belarc Advisor on your old installation. This utility will show you your Microsoft Office 2007 product key.
