Windows 8 blue screen - DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE caused by ntoskrnl.exe
I have a new Sony Vaio Pro and have experienced outages of system 3 times. All the accidents that happened after I've restored from hibernation and were related to the bug check DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. After the first two accidents, I ran Sony diagnostics on the memory and hard drive SSD and they passed the test. I even sent my Vaio Pro to the repair depot to Sony for a test on the memory, hard drive and other hardware and they all passed.
I found my Vaio Pro last Wednesday and updated the Windows 8 from scratch. This morning, after the resumption of hibernation, I realized my Bluetooth mouse did not work. So I stop the laptop hoping a restart could solve the problem. However, it took almost 5 minutes before they would stop and restart Windows gave a warning:
"Experienced problem with closed Windows. Your PC fell on problem. This problem case your PC to restart.
BlueScreen Viewer it pointing DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE caused by driver ntoskrnl.exe.

p.s. I think this may have something to do with my Bluetooth driver I had experienced many times the Bluetooth driver has been disabled by Windows and the event viewer reported "the Local Bluetooth is not indeterminate way and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded. "

Hi William,.
The attached file of the DMP is the error checking DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) .
This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.
9F, {4, 12 c, fffffa80196707c0, fffff880009ec810} error checking
Parameter 1 of the bugcheck is 4 , which indicates that the transition of power over waiting to synchronize with the Pnp subsystem.
The 2nd setting is 12 c , which indicates that it is exceeded for a total of 12 seconds.
By default, the crash dump is failing UsbHub3.sys who is the pilot of HUB-USB3 (System driver and not the true cause, and is due to the fault by something else).
If we look further into the dump:

In addition, to answer your question as to why the MEMORY. DPM is so important because it's a dump of memory rather than a small kernel. Kernel memory dumps contain all the kernel memory was working with and that was in use at the time of the accident, that is why it is larger and provides much more information.

Windows 7 blue screen DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE ntoskrnl.exe
Hi community
I'm having a problem with my installation of Windows 7. When I try to shut down my pc, it still shows the blue screen with the message "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I did research on the internet and discovered that this blue screen is above all connected to a driver problem. Then I updated some drivers at random, but it has not solved the problem for me. Could someone help me to analyze my Minidump file? I put it on OneDrive:

DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE caused by ntoskrnl.exe
Dear all,
I got the BSOD recently with my Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit in the standby/hibernation with "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" of the memory minidump file bug_check_string that I analyzed with utility BlueScreenView.
I downloaded the minidump files in my SkyDrive to the following:
http://CID-cb84f720a8912916.Office-DF.live.com/self.aspx/.public/minidump.zip
Appreciate the assistance to find out what drivers are causing this issue.
Thank you!
Here is a part of the analysis of WinDbg (Windows Debugger) from your other laptop error checking:
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x9F_3_athrx_IMAGE_pci.sys
BUCKET_ID: X64_0x9F_3_athrx_IMAGE_pci.sys
That would indicate a problem with the athrx.sys which is the driver of the wireless adapter.
However, since you seem to have install the program (driver = connctfy.sys) Connectify, Connectify program is perhaps the question, as in the following thread:
So try to update the wireless driver and if it does not help uninstall Connectify.
I posted some info on playing the minidump files in the following thread:
Watching the minidump with a debugger files will often display the problematic driver, but sometimes, as what may be the case with your other laptops, the cause is not always obvious.

This "might" be a power problem, even if it's not the most common cause.
9F is probably a driver issue. Antivirus/antispyware/security programs can also cause these problems.
Have you added the recent devices or the updated drivers - do not forget to check in Windows updates of
see if a driver has been updated before that happens. This can also be caused by a loose card
or cable and even a weak power supply. This error means that a driver does not properly support the power state. Check in Control Panel-
Device to be sure management of great drivers are stopped not for sleep - double-click on display
Adapter - card NETWORK and WIFI - healthy and others - tab power management - uncheck allow
computer to power off. Maybe the only has a problem.(Use EXECUTION instead of start - search such as used on Vista or Windows 7)
WINDOWS key + X - RUN - type MSCONFIG.exe
General tab - tick this box start Diagnostic - APPLY / OK - REBOOT
Try it now. If the computer still blue screens thinks that video driver. Otherwise think the card NETWORK, Wifi, sound, or...
(and it might still be video interacts with something else). See link to the troubleshooting tool

Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install

The material is highly suspect!
Since you reformatted and reloaded Windows this indicates that the problem is either material or a
very basic pilot who has been reloaded - video/display, network/WiFi, sound, possibly 3rd party
mouse or keyboard, BIOS, chipset and other low level drivers. This error is usually a driver problem and display adapter (video) driver is the most suspicious if she
may be others. Antivirus/antispyware/security programs, equipment (heat) and major software problems
can also cause the error. When you get to the section of the driver to use the Troubleshoot utility my generic
methods in the next message and then return to the if necessary troubleshooting tool.Have you recently added hardware or drivers updated? Don't forget to look in Control Panel - Windows
Updates to see if all drivers have been updated it. Other donor opportunities include the antivirus/anti-
spyware/security programs. When you get to the pilot and sections of the memory of the troubleshooter check the following message to
update drivers and memory test and then return to the troubleshooter if necessary.------------------------------------------------
Even if you have some of these here tried a fairly complete convenience store just in case.
BCCode: 7F 0x0000007E
Cause
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug control is a very common bug control. To interpret it, you must identify which exception has been generated.
Common exception codes are:
- 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates a memory access violation has occurred.
For a complete list of exception codes, see the Ntstatus.h file located in the directoryInc. of the Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK).
Solve the problem
If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Make sure you have enough disk space.
- If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
- Try changing video cards.
- Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
- Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.
If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2 (the address of the exception) should identify the driver or function that caused the problem.
If exception code 0 x 80000003 occurs, a hard-coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but the system was launched with the/nodebug. switch. This problem should occur infrequently. If it occurs repeatedly, make sure that a kernel debugger is connected and the system is booted with theSwitch/DEBUG .
In case of exception code 0 x 80000002, the trap frame provides additional information.
If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following questions:
- Hardware incompatibility. Ensure that any new hardware that is installed is listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.
- Service driver or defective peripheral system. A chauffeur service or defective peripheral system could be responsible for this error. The hardware problems, such as BIOS incompatibilities, conflicts of memory and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.
If a driver is listed by name in the bug check message, disable or remove that driver. Disable or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.
If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third-party remote control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the service by starting the computer by using the recovery and then Console by removing the offending system service file.
Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver responsible for control of bug 0x7E.
You can also disable memory cache BIOS may try to resolve the error. You must also run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.
The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or after installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and the system BIOS incompatibilities. For any problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with lack of disk space, reduce the number of files on the hard disk drive target. Search and delete temporary files that you do not have to have, files hidden Internet, application backup files and files saved.chk, which contain fragments of files on disk scans. You can also use an another hard disk drive with more free space for the installation. You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS.

BCCode: 109 0 x 00000109
Cause
There are generally three different causes for this bug check:
A driver has deliberately or inadvertently modified kernel of criticism or data code. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and later versions of Windows for computers x 64 do not allow the kernel to be debugged, except through authorized hot patches from Microsoft. For more information, see policy patch for x 64 systems.
A developer tried to set a normal kernel breakpoint using a kernel debugger which was not attached when the system is started. Normal breakpoints (bp) can be defined only if the debugger is attached to the start time. Processor breakpoints (ba) can be defined at any time.
- A physical corruption has occurred. For example, the kernel code or data could are stored in memory has failed.

BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe - bug DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
Hi all
I'd appreciate help with my laptop problems I don't know neither the cause nor the solution...
For several months, my laptop refuses to close directly. I explain: when I want to stop it, any reboot my laptop and I have to stop him again so he can actually stopped. In addition, at each attempt to stop / restart, I have this incredible Blue Screen of Death for 15 to 20 minutes, then my laptop actually restarts. Once it has restarted, it works normally for 3 minutes and then freezes for a duratation ranging from 5 min to 40 min...
In addition, since the beginning of these problems, my laptop detects no USB devices (mouse, external driver...)...
Please help me, this situation is driving me crazy...
My laptop is an Asus ux32v and runs on 64-bit processor - i5 3317U and Windows 8 (if it helps).
Here is the link to my minidump files:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ix3bf3v7aog2xz5/AAAcgX3yNBDWVAj5JXs9JNzSa?DL=0
I tried to open these files with software like BlueScreenView but couldn't do much about it. What I realized is that it was caused by ntoskrnl.exe.
Thank you in advance for your help!
MS
It is possible because you do not remove it completely. He was always loaded into the current DMP file
You do not update to win 8.1. I'll wait until you do.

Cause
A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high.
This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.
If the first parameter has the same value as the fourth parameter, and the third parameter indicates a runtime operation, this bug check was probably caused by a driver who was trying to run code when the code itself has been paginated outside. The possible causes for the error page are:
- The function was marked as pageable and was operating at an IRQL higher (including obtaining a lock).
- The function call was made to a function in another pilot, and that this driver has been unloaded.
- The function was called by using a function pointer that was an invalid pointer.

Hello
References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.
Added new hardware, updated drivers to date (don't forget to check in Control Panel - Windows Updates -
updates to the pilot), or add key software lately? Drivers and antivirus/antispyware/security
the products are also suspect likely. Next message is my generic driver updated methods to use when
you get to this part of the resolution of the problems.BCCode: a 0x0000000A
Cause
This bug check is issued if the memory paged (or invalid) is accessible when the IRQL is too high.
The error that usually generates this bug check occurs after installing a faulty device driver,
BIOS or system service. If you encounter a bug 0xA control during the upgrade to a later version of Windows, this error can be
caused by a device driver, system service, a virus scanner, or backup tool which is not compatible
with the new version.Solve the problem
If a kernel debugger is available, get a stack trace.
To resolve an error caused by the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS
- Restart your computer.
- Press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system.
- In the Windows Advanced Options menu, select last known good Configuration .
- This option is most effective when a pilot or a service is added at a time.
To resolve an error caused by an incompatible device driver, system service, virus
Scanner, or backup tool- Check the system log in Event Viewer for error messages that may identify the device or
- the driver that caused the error.
- Try disabling the cache in memory of the BIOS.
- Run the diagnostics of material provided by the manufacturer of the system, in particular the memory
- scanner. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.
- Make sure that the latest Service Pack is installed.
- If your system has interface cards (SCSI) small computer system, contact the adapter
- manufacturer for updates of Windows drivers. Try to disable sync negotiation in the SCSI
- BIOS, check the wiring and the SCSI ID of each device and confirming the proper termination.
- For devices (IDE) peripheral electronic integrated, set the built-in as only primary IDE port.
- Also, check each IDE device to the right setting master/slave/stand alone. Try
- remove all IDE devices except for the hard drives.
If the message appears during installation of Windows, make sure that the computer and all the
devices are listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.BCCode: a 0x0000000A<-- read="">-->

Last night, my laptop that runs windows xp blue screened and says something about the queue
original title: help solve a mistake, please on windows xp
Last night my laptop that runs windows xp blue screened and says something about the queue and to bring the computer out of which I did. I just tried to turn it on an hour ago, I use it now, and I got a message saying he had recovered from a serious error and I wanted to report to microsoft? I clicked Yes, but unbeknownst to me, I had no internet connection at the point of having to re-enter my our Verizon router WEP number in this laptop. I essentially self-taught myself much on computers that tell you, I'm not really computer literate, but if you can point me in the right direction, I can very well do. This is where to ask my question/problem. I went in the event viewer and found this error/explanation: Index information is corrupt and Indexing Service cannot re - index the content automatically. User action: stop and restart the indexing service using the following command:
SC stop cisvc
SC start cisvc
Can someone tell me please how to do this? I think I know, but I'm really not sure so please help... Thank you
It really seems to me as if you had a temporary problem which has now disappeared and that you probably do not need to do anything.
However, please click Start, and then click Printers and faxes and report what, if anything, you see in the window that opens.
If you don't see an icon for the printer that you think should be there, you need to fix this. On the other hand, if your printer icon is there - or if you do not have a printer attached to your computer - you need not do anything.
If you want your computer to be a little faster and at the same time save space on your hard drive, read the LifeHacker article I linked in my previous post. However, you need not to do, and you can erase [probably] regardless of the index corruption has occurred by starting and stopping the Indexing Service (cisvc) by entering commands in a command prompt window that I described.
Yet once, you don't need to change your encryption WEP to WPA or WPA2 wifi, but doing so will make your network more secure wireless. If you want to change your encryption, you would start by changing the configuration of your router from Verizon. You should be able to find detailed instructions on the Verizon support site. I don't know if you have Verizon FiOS or Verizon DSL service; This is a page of relevant support FiOS--> http://www22.verizon.com/ResidentialHelp/FiOSInternet/Networking/Setup/Security/124980.htm

Windows 8 BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe
Hello.
I get a lot of the dreaded BSOD lately. From the beginning I thought that it's nvidia drivers. Update of those fixed everything except a BSOD I get.Now I get the same BSOD, and it is caused by ntoskrnl.exe and playback memory problems.I've been all around you are looking for assistance and use of memtest86 without result. The Msinfo32 and .dmp files are located here: DMP.zipAnyone have any idea what may be causing this?I couldn't find the RAM that I use in the compatibility table for the motherboard. So that's what I think may cause the problem.Any help is greatly appreciated.Kind regardsArveHi Arve,
All attached files of the DMP are the bug check IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a) .
This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a driver in mode accessed kernel memory paged at DISPATCH_LEVEL level or above.
This bug check is issued if the memory paged (or invalid) is accessible when the IRQL is too high. The error that usually generates this bug check occurs after the installation of the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS.

In addition, to provide peace of mind regarding your request of RAM. If you receive a card mother and they have a list of the RAM compatible in the manual, etc., this is called a QVL (qualified suppliers list). It is simply a list of RAM which has been tested internally and is PROVING to be quite compatible 100%. If the RAM is not on the list, it is not by all means, implies that the RAM will be inconsistent and cause problems. Actually today is very rare. Your RAM doesn't seem to be the issue at all in these accidents.
