Subtitles SRT on Smart TV - 40L7335DG

Hello:

I just bought a Smart TV Toshiba 40L7335DG and when I try to watch content from a USB key with video (AVI, MP4, MKV,...) and subtitles in. Format SRT (most common) I don't see the subtitles on the screen. The video file and the subtitle file has the same name and the amounts in the same folder.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

I tried with the MKV and AVI and me can see subtitles with these containers... Why not with the MP4?

    Welcome to the forum.

To make pure subtitles, you need to look in a full application, such as Adobe Encore, DVD Studio Pro or Sonic Scenarist. The closest you can do with pre is to use lower third and pretty well manually copy and paste your text from subtitles to those. Note: it will be burned in the exported Shared video, unlike a real subtitle or CC, where the user can turn on or OFF or change the language.

    Good luck

[Edit] I don't know if Sony DVD Architect can make subtitles, but perhaps worth it, because it is much cheaper than the others that I mentioned.

  • SONY KDL-46EX720 subtitles problem

I bought a Sony KDL-46EX720 a year ago to the Portugal. I remember viewing a movie hollow files usb port and it worked fine, except for the subtitles that had a strange police which made impossible subtitles to read (I remember, we had the opportunity to choose among 4 fonts but they were all the same). Since then, I stopped watching movies tray usb and used other methods (connection via hdmi on the pc). Today I have the Tv connected to the internet (ethernet port) for the first time and did the updates (successfully, update version: PKG4.017EUA - 0104). I tried to watch a movie with subtitles (.srt format both .sub, same name as the video file) and I could just find the option to turn on the subtitles. I tried 4 color buttons and the button subtitle, with return error: function not available for the current mode (translated from Portuguese). I looked in all the menus and I have not found that everything about the subtitles/configuration section. I searched the Sony site, etc., and I can simply find an answer... How can I activate/config the subtitles to work with my movie from the usb port files? Thank you

    Hello JohnnyDuke,

Welcome to the community of Sony.

Subtitles (.srt) .ts and .m2ts video file formats are not supported by USB playback. Therefore, unable to display subtitles. This is a normal operation.

  • How to read subtitles in Windows Media Center?

Hello! I bought a CD of movie and downloaded subtitles ".srt" for this movie. These subtitles ".srt" run in VLC media player by keeping just the video and the '.srt' in the same folder and two identical file names. But when I play the movie in Windows Media Center, the subtitles do not appear. How do I make them work?

    Hey Mary!
I'm sorry but I don't have the subtitles that are already there in the DVD. As I said, there are no subtitles in the DVD. There was just a .avi file. In VLC Media Player (that I currently use as my primary movie player), simply paste. SRT file in the same folder and check the file of the same name. VLC media player automatically detects and manages the subtitles with video. This technique works for all video formats that work with VLC Media player, includin, .mp4, .m4v, .mkv, .wmv, .avi, etc..

Is that we can run these subtitles .srt (sometimes .sub) with Windows Media Center?

You can, but you must tell the codec to load the subtitles.  I am assuming that you are using ffdshow, in video settings, there is a setting to enable and disable the subtitles, it is a function of the video decoder not the player, VLC comes just at a time.

  • File import .mov first + addition of subtitles to complete (HELP)

I'm new to this forum.  Hello to all and I checked some similar topics and nothing has really been answered or helped me in cause I'm having.

    Here's the deal:

I have a final edited documentary that was recently completed in iMovie and exported in format .mov.

However, I had to add subtitles.  I went to some "file upload" sites and added manually in each of the subtitles for the film, and I have two 2 legend different files both .srt and. Sub.

What I have to do now is somehow upload the .mov file in Adobe Premiere and somehow add in these subtitles.

    Cliffs/Questions:

    1. can I upload a .mov file in Adobe Premiere?

2 adobe Premiere accepts subtitles .srt and .sub files?

3 can complete you a project in Adobe Premiere with the menu of the DVD?  Or do I somehow do DVD Studio Pro, or is Adobe After Effects don't?

  • 48L5445DG - firmware update urgently needed!

    Hi Toshiba,

I bought the TV 48L5445DG for a week, but I am very disappointed!

    Firmware version: 3.6.3.c/3.5.3d
The TV is factory reset after the update online.

    The problems:
-a single USB port work. Under COMMON INTERFACE USB port is NOT functional. The port is powerless.
-Problems of media browser buttons to PAUSE, FORWARD and BACKWARD. Sometimes the buttons work, sometimes no. I don't know why.
-in mode 3D, if the film does NOT have report 16:9, the image is extended. The SCREEN button does not work.
-subtitles of the DLNA. My TV all the subtitles files with a name-> SUBTITLE.srt see (look at the screenshot below)
-My TV play only one subtitle file. See this topic, I have the same problem-> http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=18809

Click on the image to enlarge.

Sorry for my English. This is NOT my language.

    As for your problems:
-"single USB port works": what happens if you put the USB in the port, what does not work? No action on the side of the TV? Fault may be a HW with taking...
-Playback controls such a FWD and rewind depend on the type of file: some file types support these commands, others not. Whereas the 'PAUSE' should always work, no matter of the file type.
-Have you checked the option 'zoom picture' that are in the user menu under settings settings / advanced photo?
-Subitles and DLNA are both topics that may mistake, even if used separately and not in combination. #
So, whenever you are manipulating files with separate subtitles you should check first if playback via USB works OK, before going to use DLNA.

  • What format of subititle Prepremier Pro CS 6 does support?

  • How can I export several language closed pp legends?

    So here's the scenario:

    1. Documentary photo of length in slovene featured
    2. Created slovene and English subtitles (.srt format) code (I have more than two languages translation)
    3. Imported into my project and marked as CEA608 CC1 English and slovene as CEA608 CC2
    4. Placed two files of legend on my timeline on video tracks 5 & 6 respectively
    5. I can select the CE1 or CE2 channels in the program monitor and see the correct subtitles during playback.
    6. I export to Quicktime (MOV) format and select 'Embed in the output file' in the tab captions options
    7. When I look at the QT file it contains only a single stream CC (CC1) and so only English subtitles are available.

I tried to export the captions in any format available sidecar (*.) CSC, .mcc, .xml, .stl, .srt). ALL of them with just a SINGLE channel of legend, CC1.

I feel like I tried all combinations of input file specification "and the output file option and have not found one that will export two or more closed channels of the legend."

My guess is, I have to exchange all subtitle files (CE1 > CE2 and CE2 > CC1) and then restore the project twice. time to get the English .srt file and a second time to get the language Slovenian .srt file.  This should work for the production of DVD where I can import files sidecar separately in yet. This will also work for YouTube where I can download the two, or more, .srt files. But I see no way to create a single MXF or MOV file with two built-in languages. It's my main output requirement.

Has anyone successfully created a workflow for several language legend closed?
Premiere Pro actually exportable in multiple channels of CC and if so, how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Michelle

The workflow creation and editing for closed captioning, although does not changes in batches of legends or is likely to further massive changes and conversions. For some users and the specific workflow, this can be tedious and impractical. Please submit a feature request.

  • AE CS4 - Render to: problems of MPEG4 of 1920 x 1080 (1.0)

    Hello

I moved a one minute video of Premiere Pro CS4 to AE CS4 in order to spice things up a bit. First, I have given in format H.264, 25 fps, 1920 x 1080, which works very well, however trying to do the same thing in AE delicate stitching. I can't find the same settings.

I tried to use quicktime in AE, and sometimes I managed to get a job, for my WD TV target device file (spec as below)

Now, can someone please tell me what is happening. Surely, I must be possible to make for the same specification of the target, I AE as in first?

    Thank you!

    Video - MPEG1/2/4, WMV9, AVI (MPEG4, Xvid, AVC), H.264, MKV, MOV (MPEG4, H.264),.
    MTS, TP, TS
    Playlist - PLS, M3U, WPL
Subtitle - SRT (UTF-8), SMI, SUB, *, SSA
    Note:
    -Supported MPEG2/4, H.264 and WMV9 up to 1920x1080p 24 fps, 1920x1080i 30 fps, 1280x720p 60 fps resolution

When you made your first movie, you made using a SOUL presset (Adobe Media Encoder)?

If so, you have 2 solutions:

    (1) SOUL run and select "file > import after effect model" and in the dialog box, select your AE project, then the model you want to restore. A time imported into the batch processing line, select your presset and click render.

    (2) If you want to render inside AE. Select your model, add to the queue queue rendering (ctrl-m on PC, cmd - m on Mac) in the output setting module select 'h264' as the type of video and click on "format option" and you will find the same options that you can find in the SOUL. Just put your resolution and framerate.

Don't forget to adjust your resolution in the menu if your computer is not 1920 x 1080.

One last thing. On the provided plug, it says 24 p and 1080i 30. As you got 25 fps, maybe you have to make it in 1080i (which means interlaced field, the top first). Try to make I nprogressive mode also, but I guess it can be a source of your problem.

    Hope that helps,

    SEB
