Windows 8 criticism of the process is dead

Hello

My girlfriend is owner of Lenovo Ideapad S300 with Windows 8. A few days ago, she started having BSOD with CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. After the blue screen, the laptop works very well for an hour (or even less), and then it happens again. She could not get the safe mode because there was an another BSOD. She tried runing memory diagnostic tool but BSOD happens again.

Here is the picture of .dmp (sorry for quality).

The problem seems to be caused by ntoskrnl.exe + 142480.

Should I run Memtest86 + to test my RAM? My RAM belongs to the dumpster already? : P

Thanks for all the info. English is my second language so I'm sorry for any mistakes.

Hello

Please contact Microsoft Community.

I suggest you refer to the suggestion given by Patrick Barker replied on February 1.

I hope this helps.

I downloaded Gameforge and Metin2. He played well for the first 4 days. So actually playing the game, it would break and I have to restart the game (no biggie), but the last two days it hasn t been loading. What will happen is I would like to start by "Gameforge", click on "Start game", he would sit there and act as his load but then a blue screen saying "your PC encountered a problem and needs to restart." "We're just collecting some error information, and then we'll restart for you - critical - process - is dead.  Then once at 100% it will re-start. • How to fix the BSOD: critics of the process died?

    Hello

Recently, I've restored my Acer Aspire 771 G back to factory settings, as I had a lot of problems after that I upgraded to windows 8.1. Now my computer works fine, except for a problem... I frequently get the BSOD: critics of the process is dead. It occurs usually when I try to run a certain game on Steam (it only happens for a game), but also happened on other occasions.

I tried almost everything to solve the problem: reinstall the operating system, update drivers, virus/malware research and clean the registry. None of them have solved the problem. I then ran the Burn-in-test; my computer has adopted all aspects, except the CPU temperature test. It is likely that the BSOD if caused by overheating of the processor? And how can I stop this BSOD occurring?

My computer is as follows: Acer Aspire V3 771 G: intel core i7, NVIDIA Geforce GT 640 M, 16 GB RAM, windows 8 and I have 2 hardrives: a 120G SSD as well as a 1 TB of HARD drive. On another note, I only had this computer for about 8 months.

Do not install an operating system is usually caused by (in order of probability):

    Hi Butterfly3,

Welcome to Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

    ·         Does the problem occur even when working with other programs such as WordPad and Notepad?

(A.) it can happen that if drivers are not updated, you may update the drivers for keyboard and mouse on your machine, see steps to update the drivers:

(i.) click Start > type in Device Manager in the start search > expand the keyboard and the mouse in Device Manager > right click on drivers > click Properties > click on the driver tab > click on update drivers > click OK.

Now, restart the computer and check if the keyboard and mouse works fine without any problems.

    (B) if the problem persists, you may need to perform the analysis antivirus on the computer.

You can also perform a complete analysis of the Service from the link: http://safety.live.com

A.) you can also check by reducing the hardware acceleration on your computer, follow the steps below to reduce hardware acceleration:

(i.) click Start > click Control Panel > click on appearance and personalization > click personalization > click on display settings > click Advanced settings > click the Troubleshooting tab, and then click on change settings.

Note: The settings will be disabled if the graphics card driver does not support disabling hardware acceleration.

Move the hardware acceleration slider until it is one notch to the right of none. It is the basis of acceleration.

Click OK twice, and then close the window.

    (B) I suggest that you might have to reset the internet settings explorer explore on your computer, download the Microsoft Fix - it of the link which automatically resets the default browser settings, see the link: http://support.microsoft.com/923737

    Hope this information is useful.
Let me know if it worked.
    All the best!

  • Windows Vista MB in the process of disappearance

Hi, WINDOWS VISTA CONTINUES to TAKE MB

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, and every time and every day I check my disk space, and when I continued to watch I mentioned as MB (mega bytes) kept disappearing! Could someone please reply to this post and tell me how to fix and stop this.

    Thank you
    Jack Dury

    Hello

    1. What do you exactly mean by disappear?
    2. When you check the disk space?

Check disk space in disk management.

    To open disk management:
    a. Click Start.
    (b) in the search box, type diskmgmt.msc and press ENTER.

I also suggest you to run Disk Cleanup and then check if it makes a difference in the capacity of the disk.

Disk Cleanup removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

Refer to this link for help:

    Delete files using Disk Cleanup:

I tried to disable ipv6 turning my router settings, so there is that the ipv4 connection and also disabled dns prefetching and define the network to no proxy settings. Then Firefox would work for a little bit and load Google Facebook and Youtube, when I tried it, but it was very slow, reclassification to the installation of Firefox on my Windows XP that has been improved from 30 to 32. Yet once uninstalled and I tried older versions of Firefox, K Meleon Lunascape and same herd. Flock has worked, but he will soon be unsupported. Finally, when Firefox loaded the CPU usage went from 8% to more than 30% of the Web pages and then loading sites after loading icon appeared. I have other browsers work fine. Right now I use Opera.

I managed to fix it myself. I did a scan to scan with malwarebytes antimalware pro I had and adwcleaner threat and quarantined everything that the first softare found and cleaned with the second, everything appeared to be remnants of old unisntalled programs. I then had to remove the remains of appdata kmeleon and firefox profiles. I only left the firefox of the records that are the browser files I wanted to keep it light. I then checked for settings. I had windows desfault settings check if I have doen not matter what settings with avg pc tuneup 2011, Tweak Me! UWT 2.2 and used TCP Optimizer to bring the network settings by default by windows to 9000 kbps of download speed (after that I did a network speed test). Now firefox is super fast and xcloses normally.
