WIndows 8 driver_power_state_failure bsod

Hi all

I have an annoying problem. In recent weeks, start the system and wake up from hibernation for takes too long than usual (5 minutes). After some time with driver_power_state_failure BSOD also began to appear.

After some research I have come to believe that the there is a problem with a driver. I did the following:

-J' tried to update all the drivers (with SlimDrivers and checking manually from the Device Manager)

-J' tried to clean (registers, unnecessary files, etc.)

-J' also did a health check on disk (everything is fine) using cmd chkdsk. (including a checkup before starting to drive c.)

After doing all of this with the problem still there I decided to do a factory reset. I wanted to make a clean and installation for as long as I understood that it is the way to do it on windows 8. I find it quite annoying because after that things were still there, some of the files on the desktop, some settings. This makes me believe that it was not a clean install after all

The laptop froze before the factory reset, but now it works well. It's just that it takes forever to load and this BSOD.

And one last problem I notice (maybe related to this or not), so try to use windows update, I get the error with the code: 800703F1

I do not know how to find the pilot who is responsible (if this is the case), and if someone could help me with some ideas that would be much appreciated.

Also I send you via dropbox my dump file after the bsod (from C/Windows/Minidump):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/awscqcnabf5yblj/092714-268453-01.dmp?DL=0

PS. I'm under win 8 (not 8.1) on an ASUS UX32VD, if that info is needed.

This phenomenon was related to iaStor.sys Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver - ia32.  Yours is 2 years old.  I remove the power and install the latest driver available

  • DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD when running low on battery and out of hibernation

I have 13 Duo Sony laptop and Windows 8 gives BSOD when it hibernates after critical battery action and I try to turn it on by connecting the power adapter. I suspect a driver is a problem. Can someone identify the driver from the memory dump?

Here is the address in the dump file: http://sdrv.ms/18jx5ss

    Hello

The attached file of the DMP is to bug checking DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) .

This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.

By default it is failing pci.sys (NT Plug - and - Play PCI enumerator) that is NOT the real cause and is being blamed by something else.

If we run one! IRP on the 4th parameter of the bug check (IRP address blocked), we get the following:

    [16, 0] 0 fffffa8007f09060 0 fffff88003826c48 00000000-fffff880009869f0

From the above, we can see three things. For me, it is very problematic and we will address as soon as POSSIBLE. However, the other two are small and may not even be a contributing factor, but let's take care of it without worrying.

c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys is pass it through the Direct SCSI host - Daemon Tools (BSOD problems with Win 7 and 8 in particular.

Remove as soon as POSSIBLE with the uninstaller - http://www.duplexsecure.com/en/downloads

dxgkrnl.sys is the core of DirectX and works hand in hand with next igdkmd64.sys which is Intel Graphics driver.

Make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please try the driver beta for your card.

  • Driver_Power_State_Failure BSoD and ndis.sys

I know there are many of these failures BSOD posted, but I can't seem to find a solution. BlueScreenView said that this Driver_Power_State_Failure is associated with ndis.sys and ntoskrnl.exe. I put the dump herefile. Any thoughts would be great. I got this crash (twice now) on a computer for deployment on the ground at the edge of a river and is connected to a camera that records continuous underwater video. The videos are written on an external hard drive, and I am on Windows 7. The crash occurred several hours after the start of recordings (15-20 h). A program I use breaks images into files of 3 hours. • After awakening DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSoD

    Hello
my laptop (Asus s56cb) worked without problem for a year, but now it gives me a lot of problems when waking from sleep. It starts without any problems (other than it now takes ages in time compared to the previous, even after a clean reinstall of windows to boot), but putting the pc to sleep and it wake, it freezes at the lock screen. It then takes me to the BSoD, says that it collects some info (while enumerating the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error) and then restarts.
I tried everything, since the update or disable drivers one by one, to reinstall windows. I lost all my personal files, settings and programs, but the error persists. This is why I think there must be some sort of hardware failure.
One thing I noticed is that the built in SSD comes preinstalled with the laptop (I think it's Kingston 24GO), is now showing no upward when scanning for hardware using the Test of the Perfomance. He used to appear, but now it does not work.

  • Dealing with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD

After playing with some new display monitors, everything has been fine up until a few weeks ago, when I noticed that whenever I want to restart my computer, it would display the restart of the screen for about 10 minutes, then it would display a BSOD with the error being 'DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.

Fortunately, after it seems, the system will re-start very well on its own.

We have a list of the IORP and a bit of a more informative text in the stack. We can see some NDIS calls, so this may indicate that we are dealing with something of associated network. The driver Interface specification NDIS (Network) is an application programming interface (API) for network (NIC) interface cards. The NDIS form the logical link control sublayer (LLC), which is the top layer of the OSI (Layer 2) data link layer. Therefore, the NDIS acting as interface between the sublayer Media Access Control (MAC), which is the bottom layer of the data link layer, and the network layer (Layer 3).

  • Windows 7 upgrade bsod now every 30 minutes - Tosh P200 BB7

I have just upgraded to Windows 7 - install went well, but now I get the bsod every 30 minutes approximately. The error messages indicate a problem of kernel and disk error hard - not sure it might be. It charges fine, but then (even if I leave just sitting after reboot) it ' new bsod. Clues? I tried chkdsk but who have not as well.

Did you do a clean install or upgrade to Vista?

If Vista is bloated with a lot of applications, some applications/drivers can cause a problem in Win7.

You may need to reinstall Win7 with a clean install

  • Lenovo U310 DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD after sleep

    Hello!

I'm sitting here with my U310 I bought for about 1 year. When I bought Windows 8 has been installed, but through the normal procedures of Windows Update 8.1 for Windows has been installed within a couple of months.

Due to the fact that I am a COMPUTER professional, I have updated all drivers for a 64-bit version of Windows 8.1 (download all of this site) and everything works as it is supposed to-except for the sleep feature.

After you put the computer in standby mode, and then tries to raise (raise the screen or press the switch) it starts but freeses before I can enter the password for the user. Then, it takes 2 to 4 minutes before entering a nice BSOD.

Now, I read all the reviews on this site of support and I understand it's something with the drivers. Just today, I downloaded the latest drivers - installed them - with no luck. Same question.

The computer is re-installed week last due to some other problems with the hard disk (bad points that are now disabled through chkdsk).

No errors in the logs of Windows.

No yellow? in the Device Manager.

No comments on this will be appresiated - I really HOPE to get an answer from someone.

    Best regards

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This "might" be a power problem, even if this isn't the most common cause - in this case
It seems that the PSU could be the fault.

9F is probably a driver issue. Security/antivirus/antispware programs can also cause these issues.
Have you added the recent devices or the updated drivers - don't forget to check in the Windows updates to see
If a driver has been updated before this happen. This can also be caused by a loose card or cable
and even a weak power supply.

This error means that a driver does not properly support the power state. Check in Control Panel - device

  • Windows Vista 64 BSOD why?

A computer laptop studio dell with windows vista business 64-bit freezes and screen BSOD about two or three times a month. It is more common during the installation. I downloaded one of the files of dump here: http://rapidshare.com/files/372000871/Mini040410-01.dmp.html

It has a suite of panda security and no other security software...

Thank you very much for your answers.

    Hello

Have you recently added any hardware? Have you updated any drivers just before this started? (Check
Panel configuration-updates of Windows to see if all drivers have been updated it there all the time it started)
Main likely culprits are video driver, other great drivers, memory and antivirus/antispyware/security
products could be at fault as well as reader questions.

Use the troubleshooter below and refer to the following message to drivers and memory when you get to
These sections and then back to the resolution of the problems according to the needs.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    BCCode: 50 0 x 00000050

    Cause

The BCCode 50 usually occurs after the installation of the installation of a faulty material or failure of
material (usually associated with defective RAM, either main memory, L2 RAM or RAM video cache).

Another common cause is a defective system service installation.

Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

    Solve the problem

Solve a defective hardware problem: If the material has been added to the system recently, remove it to see
If the error recurs. If the hardware failure existing, remove or replace the faulty component. You must run
Diagnostics of material provided by the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the owner
    Manual for your computer.

Fix a defective system service: Disable the service and confirm that this resolves the error. If so,.
Contact the manufacturer of the system service on a possible update. If the error occurs during the system
startup, restart your computer, and then press F8 at the menu character mode that displays the operating system
choice. In the Windows Advanced Options menu that results, select the last known good Configuration
option. This option is most effective when a pilot or a service is added at a time.

Solve a problem of antivirus software: Disable the program and confirm that this resolves the error. If she
is the case, contact the manufacturer of the program about a possible update.

Fix a corrupted NTFS volume: Run Chkdsk /f /r to detect and repair disk errors. You must
Restart the system before the start of the analysis of disk on a system partition. If the SCSI hard disk, check for
problems between the SCSI controller and the drive.

Finally, check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the
device or the driver that generated the error. Disable the cache in memory of the BIOS might also resolve it.
