    Hello

    1. What is the number of brand and model of your laptop?
    2. have you contacted the manufacturer of your laptop?

    Follow the steps mentioned below.
    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Test the keyboard in safe mode and check if the problem persists in safe mode.

    Step 2:

If it works in safe mode, perform the clean boot and check. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.

Note : follow step 7 to your computer as usual, after the test.

    Method 2:
    a. check if on-screen keyboard funvtions normally.
    b. If possible, try to connect an external keyboard and check if the problem persists.

If the problem does not persist if could be a hardware problem and suggest you contact the manufacturer of the laptop.

  • Keyboard problems - Windows 7 RTM on Thinkpad x 301

    Greetings,

The fighting had thereby a few days and haven't seen all the other notes on this subject.

I installed Win 7 (business) RTM about 3 times - both 32 - and 64-bit and is the version gives me a problem with keyboarding. Basically, if I type REALLY SLOW, all right. But whenever I go back to normal typing speed, I'm getting erratic behavior. Sometimes while I'm typing, the cursor will jump to a place earlier in the same line and insert new text from there, or sometimes it jumps to the line next, or worse yet, I use it via Remote Desktop on my primary computer running Outlook, it will send the message in the middle of a sentence. (A bit annoying...!)

It's as if I'm hitting certain types of combination, but I was not able to get fairly constant to understand. It could also perhaps be a sort of full buffer problem after - x-strikes. So here's a question - if you have no job, can you confirm that beta Lenovo drivers you have installed?

I tried a little, and later a clean 64-bit settling without adding anything else yet.

Other keyboard problem and some missing OSD indicators, I like the performance and ease of use. But if I can't get the keyboard works, I'm back to XP...

(Note that I test - I reinstalled XP preload, and kbd was fine - is not material)

    Thanks for all the ideas...

At this point, I REINSTALL ALL the detached (yet pre-release at the time, in late September) did was install drivers and keyboard.  However, I need to agree with poster above - we need Lenovo to specify exactly what drivers are needed and any requirement of installation sequence.   Somehow, I think this is what makes the difference in my case, but I'm still just guess.

but so far, Win7 on my x 301 now works...

    Good luck to all-

  • Satellite Pro C50 keyboard problems - A - 1 L 6

    Hello

I just bought this new Satellite Pro.

I have installed all the drivers and updated the bios to the latest version, but I still have the same problem: when I write, many times my keyboard writes double letters (for example, all ten words written keyboard a letter double, as "keybboard").

I tried also to change the properties of the keypad on the control panel of Windows 8, but nothing has changed.

I called support, but they just told me that I have to bring my laptop in a helpdesk: but I need my new computer to work, and I wouldn't be happy to lose at least 4 weeks!

And, support told me that, if the laptop has no hardware problem, I would have to pay for assistance...
    .
So, this is my first experience and unlucy in the world of Toshiba...
Is there someone who can give me some advice to solve this problem?
It may be a problem running on the new laptops, and someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi guys,.

As far as I know that these similar keyboard problems in the past could be resolved by the BIOS updated.
I found the new BIOS for Satellite Pro C50 - A
    http://Support1.toshiba-tro.de/Tedd-files2/0/BIOS-20140912105436.zip
    Worth a try

Another question: If someone has done to test a USB external keyboard?
In the case where the external USB keyboard would work correctly, this issue isn't associated with BIOS or keyboard controller but probably his keyboard fault internal.

    Thank you.
my laptop has active windows 8 OS

    Hi noor21

If you have similar issues using internal and external keyboard, then I recommend you to run a recovery process that would fix the laptop back to factory settings.

After this check, if your BIOS is up to date.

If the keyboard problem will always appear even if you define the laptop back to factory settings, you must contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba because the keyboard failure may be related to hardware problems.

  • F100-NH Pavilion: Pavilion HP KEYBOARD PROBLEM

    Hello world!

I have a laptop HP Pavilion F100-NH with Win 8.1.

2 weeks before my keyboard has a problem. I started windows and I couldn't type anything. I removed the keyboard from the Device Manager, and then I restarted > it would be OK.

But today, I have the same problem. I just removed the keyboard from the device, restarted Manager and nothing happens... And now I don't see the "keyboard" devices more. Strange.

The hardware itself has a problem, because I can use it during startup. Windows has a problem. How could I solve this problem?

I tried to reinstall the chipset driver (I thought that this may be a solution), but I couldn't find the chipset driver.

    Thank you for your answer!

    Best regards:

    Thank you for your request!

I understand that once before you have had a problem with the keyboard does not not after scoring in Windows.  You went to the Device Manager, removed the keyboard and rebooted.  The keyboard once again fully functional. Two weeks later the return issue, but repeating the previous steps did not help. After removing the keyboard when you restart, it was no longer listed in Device Manager.  When in Device Manager, if you are looking for a material change the keyboard appear?

Thinking it might be a chipset driver you went looking for an update, but have been unable to locate one.

Thank you! I tried what you mentioned, nothing has worked... I plugged a usb keyboard and it works, so I'm starting to believe it could be a motherboard problem. I finally got windows xp pro installed, no conflicts in Device Manager, all the drivers are installed and now running smooth. I removed the keyboard, and re-set, all connections look good, but still not good. the synaptics keyboard works fine and both rt & lft click the buttons. I pulled the ram to inspect it, it's the right speed, ddr2700, and after running for an hour, it was cold to the touch! I'll try to get a new keyboard and replace it, their pretty good work, if still not good it becomes pieces on ebay... lol tx again... Marty

  • keyboard problem: @ key appear ", AND" key appear @, too... well

keyboard problem I use the keyboard to uk vs usa? @ key appear ", AND" key appear @, too... right?

    Hi Ise,

If you are using a UK keyboard you must ensure that the United Kingdom is selected in the "Region and language" section of the control panel. Open Control Panel and click the language and region. Once the window opens, click the keyboard and languages tab. In the keyboard tab window, click the button of "change of keyboard". In this window check that the English (United Kingdom) is the default language in the "default input language section dialog box. If it is USA then click on the arrow down and change it to the United Kingdom. If UK is not there, then click on the Add button to add this language.

    • 'stached"--> home?
    • "delwtwd"--> deleted?

Assuming that I got those right, the answer is not much sense yet.  Take a deep breath, take your time and use simple language with common punctuation.  Type slowly.  Your hands are going faster than your mind and makes it hard to follow.  Don't make things worse by getting over excited.  ;-)

What I tell you (based on the original post and now this response), this is your best course of action with your horribly hacked and infected system should all erase and start over - disconnecting the network while you do this to your computer.  If you have a USB and there are some select files/folders you want to have no EXECUTABLE in them - copy those turned off.

You should probably reset each password you have for each account that you have as well – each of them.  Anywhere - Internet, etc.

You may want to also likely reset everything router you might have that connect you to the Internet if there is a custom configuration - as they have probably your router pirate as well - giving them a back door at least in your network.

What you have presented I can assume only you have been scammed.  They have probably used something like VNC or TeamViewer and your willingness to participate to take complete control of everything you have on your computer and possibly connected to your network.

If it is a business network - disconnect your computer it immediately and contact your it Department and let them know what you think.

I feel like a complete NEWB. I'm going on my computer today after two days. My computer starts slowly. More slowly than usual. The first thing I see is this grey screen with a white cursor that is HUGE on this subject. At the same time, I see that it is not fair. Then comes a box asking me which language I want to for the keyboard and so on. And then, "Windows has a problem. It must be understood, then restart. I have this. Wait 5 minutes, and then the computer restarts and everything's all right. However, what on Earth was that and how can I avoid this from happening?

He said anything as Startup Repair in the window?

If that was the case, when you finally stop the computer he could have closed inappropriately, as if there is a power failure, or you did a forced shutdown. So it automatically does a startup repair, looking for anything that did.

If this is the case you have nothing to fear, because he won't unless something gives him a reason to run.
