Windows DVD maker. Menu settings

fact a movie with DVD maker, is possible to set up the menu so you can click to start of the scenes? It seems he did this automatically, AND EVEN ON SOME FREE DVD manufacturers where you can set the time for each scene in menu setting, you must use whole minutes... (Such as 10, 11, 12, etc.) You cannot set to say; 10:30 seconds for the first... 20:15 seconds for the second etc. If I buy a good dvd maker it will have this capability? Or someone knows any free programs (not trial) where I can do this?

Thanks to all the volunteers out there! Last week I asked several questions and I learned so MUCH from you guys/girls... and I had a LOT OF FUN making this film. Something that I was totally in the dark about two weeks ago. You people are really good and I hope you all have a great holiday!

To accomplish the task you describe... create several small films
in Movie Maker and publish (Save), each of them in the WMV format movie
in a folder on your hard drive. In this way, you can control the content
and the duration of each stage (chapter).

Then, import the WMV files collected in DVD Maker and each
video clip will become a scene (chapter) on the DVD. You can have
up to 18 scenes (chapters).

Is it possible somehow to reduce the volume of the audio file of the menu? Thanks for the tips!

  • DVD menu like windows dvd maker 'video wall '?

I recently bought first 10 items and I am just learning how to use it.

My question: How can I produce an equivalent effect for the menu of the 'video wall' dvd Windows dvd maker?

I think I can do something like this using the PIP function.  I don't see how to automate this process.  It seems very tedious.  Am I missing something?

    Thank you.

    Todd

It seems to me, as if the real 'video wall' is an Intro, or AV first piece of the record, that leads to a matrix 2 x 3 buttons, with thumbnails displayed. If this is the case, pre will not allow a file not play first, before the actual Menus. Some complete DVD authoring programs can, and it's easy in them.

  • Cannot find Windows DVD Maker

Good then it's perhaps insoluble, but I can find more Windows DVD Maker on my computer.  When I open the start menu and select all programs, it's not here.  Is it possible to uninstall this program?  If I managed to do is there any way I can restore it on my computer?

    Hello xDUngeoNMastERx,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

Windows DVD creation is located in %ProgramFiles%\Movie Maker\DVDMaker.exe.  You should be able to create a shortcut icon and place it in the start menu.  If this isn't the case, then I suggest you do a restore of the system to date, the program has been lost.

This should answer your question or solve your problem.

    System restore

I hope the information is useful.

  • What type of DVD should I buy to burn my Windows Movie Maker movie? Also, I have Windows DVD Maker, but no DVD burner. What should I buy?

I created a movie in Movie Maker.  I bought some DVD + r's - the correct burn the movie on?  Also, I don't have a burner, I thought that I did, I can only burn a CD what should I buy?  I don't have a Windows DVD authoring program.

    Hi rondah,.

Welcome to the Microsoft community newsgroups.

The type of recordable DVD, you need to use depends on your DVD burner, as well as on your DVD player. Some DVD burners can burn only to certain types of DVD recordable. For example, with some DVD burners, you can only record to DVD + R discs or DVD + RW or DVD-R or DVD - RW discs, while some other DVD burners will let you burn on all of these recordable DVD types.

As long as your DVD burner supports burning to these types of discs, you can use Windows DVD creation to burn a DVD using one of the following types of recordable and re-recordable DVD media: DVD + R, DVD + RW, DVD - R, DVD - RW, and DVD - ROM. These recordable or rewritable DVDs can be either simple single laminate or single sided double layer.

You should also consider the device you're using to play the DVD once you have engraved, if possible. Some DVD players and DVD - ROM drives play only certain types of DVD. To determine what types of DVDs your DVD player or DVD - ROM drive can play, see the documentation that came with your device or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

  • Windows DVD Maker: Overview very rarely reflect final product

I am currently trying to create a dvd from a file that has a 2 x 1 asect ratio. I checked the box to choose the format 16 x 9 and ntsc and all options to create a dvd that should work in theory. When I preview the dvd, it presents the film in its original proportions 2 x 1. However, when I actually create and burn the dvd, the dvd is set to the format 16 x 9 but the actual image is 4 x 3. then, even when I try to stretch the film will change not in 16 x 9. It is a very odd result that I don't think I've changed the settings and it did not always do that. I tried several fires with multiple movie files. I am trying the same movie file in my other pc and will update as soon as it's done. Help, please! I do videos at home and I want to show to the family, but they look ridiculous with the proportions so out of whack. Thank you!!!

  • Windows dvd maker problem

whenever I try to make a dvd with DVD maker, windows stops the program suddenly after adding video files and click Next. This happens every time that I'm unable to burn the dvd

    The message appears as follows:

Windows DVD Maker has stopped working

A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

    Can anyone suggest a solution?

    Hi Bindu Prasad,

Create DVD Windows stops working due to incompatibility with one or several codec files that are obsolete or incompatible with the project or the DVD Maker software itself.

(Obsolete or incompatible) Codec files must be located and renamed to resolve the issue.

    1. open the start menu and type event viewer in the start menu search bar. Open event viewer from the menu.
    2. in the case of Viewer click Windows logs in the left panel
    3. click on application under Windows Logs logs
    4. search for the error messages listed in the event viewer window Central Panel and double-click on the error to check if it log is linked to the creation of DVD.

    Example of error log:
    Signature of the problem
    Problem event name: APPCRASH
    Application name: DVDMaker.exe
    Application version: 6.0.6000.16386
    Application timestamp: 4549b5b0
    Fault Module name: nevideohd.ax
    Fault Module Version: 4.6.15.0
    Timestamp of Module error: 459bb828
    Exception code: c0000005
    Exception offset: 00008b 89
    OS version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1062

5 locate the name of the Module of fault, it must be a file with the extension. CXL
6 once identified the name of the file, try to locate the file in the C:/Windows/System32 folder.

(Please click on view the content if the files do not appear automatically).
    7. If the files are not listed in the System32 folder, find the file with search containing the files and system files.
8 find the file and rename it.
    9. check if the problem persists. If the problem persists and the error message appears again, find the new file which is the origin of the problem of event, error log viewer.

-Can also uninstall any third party burning programs and software codec that these could cause the error.

    Kind regards
