Windows Photo - down Viewer hitting gone?

With Windows photo & Fax Viewer, we could move forward or backward one image to the EMI hit strikes (PG. prev, PAGE down, up arrow, Basel, LeftArrow & right arrow).  None of them works with Winfows 7 and Windows Photo Viewer.  I need this capability!
What happened to the key sequence?
How can I make them work?
If MS refuses to repair that omission, can I get the old Windows Picture & Fax Viewer to work on Windows 7?

Hello!

I managed to change a file that now allow me to use the PgUp/PgDn keys in Win7 Photo Viewer
The file is named PhotoViewer.dll.mui and it is located in %bootdrv&\Program Files\Windows Photo Viewer\en-US

You can get a--> here and replace the original (be sure to make a back-up before this operation)

I hope it's ok.

Best regards!

  • How can I get my photos from Windows Gallery to view and print in color, not just black and white?

How can I get my Windows Gallery pictures to view and print in chiputa, not just black and white?

    Hi Petergrossman,

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

I need few details about the question you posted.

    * What are the name and model of the printer?
    * You receive driver updates for your printer through Windows Update?
    * The printer prints the other applications in color?

In the meantime, try the following steps.

    1. try to print the default pictures in Windows Photo Gallery and check if you get a printing color.

    2. try to uninstall the printer driver and reinstall it.

Also check the setting of the color of the printer. Go to printer settings and make sure that you have selected the option to color.

To print a picture, follow these steps: -.

If you have a printer connected to your computer, you can make prints of digital photos. The quality of your photos depends on several factors, including the type of printer paper, ink and the settings of the printer of your choice. You can control many of these settings when you print the picture, but keep in mind that the overall quality and resolution of the digital picture you are printing will affect your final result.

    1. open Windows Photo Gallery by clicking on the Start button, all programs, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.

    2. click on the image you want to print.

To select more than one picture, hold down the CTRL key while you click the pictures that you want to select.

    3. on the toolbar, click on print and then click on print.

    4. in the print pictures dialog box, select the printer, paper size, qualite quality print, style print and number of copies to print.

    5. When you have finished choosing how you want to print your photos, click Print to start printing.

Choose printing options follow these steps: -.

Before you send a print job to the printer, decide if you want to print all or part of the document or Web page. You may, for example, annotate the pages to print or select a part of a document before sending it to the printer.

Here are common printing tasks to consider:

    1. to print that a hollering part of a document or a file, make a note of the page numbers for each page you want to print.
    2. If you want to print part of a page or a Web page only, select the content to print before printing.
    3. If you want to print a specific page, click anywhere on the page before choosing the print options for the document.
    4. the page that you clicked becomes the current page and you can print it by selecting this option in the print dialog box.

After deciding what to print, choose how the print copies should look, and then select a printer.
    Use print preview

To see what the print will look like before you print it, open the document in a program that offers a preview before printing. Print preview is generally located in the file menu of a program. You should be able to get an overview of each page of the document. In some programs, you can choose print in preview mode options and then print directly from the preview. In other programs, you will need to close the preview, change the document or your printer settings and print.

If you preview or print a document, and it does not appear the way that you intended, you will need to change the document or change your print options. For example, if one part of your document fits on the printed page, you may need to reduce the font size, reduce the margins, or change the page layout and then try to print again.

  • Windows Photo Viewer - impossible to resize the window

original title: Windows Photo Viewer window control

When you view a picture with Windows Photo Viewer, it always opens in the mode full screen. The window rolls back down, but then resize by dragging the borders and all the tools are out of reach. • Crashes Windows Photo Viewer (displays loading... forever)

I encounter this problem a lot in windows 7. Photo Viewer just hangs. It shows loading... but never replies. But he is able to show the image immediately when I hit the slide show button.

Don't know if someone else makes the experience

    Hello Hriket,

This problem could be due to outdated video card drivers: -.

1 when was the last time you were able to use the photo viewer

    2. have you made changes on the computer?

    For example:-hardware or software

    3. what type of video card do we have on the computer

    Method 1:

Try also to clear temporary folders by going to

    1. Click Start and type run and press on enter

    2. in the run window, type folder and hit enter. Opens Windows Temp

    3. delete the contents of the Temp folder

    Method 2:

This issue could be with the old driver files, that's why I suggest you to update the latest drivers on your computer.

Step 1: To get the latest drivers for the computer.

Click on the link below for more information on the update of drivers.

    http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/b3c6477e-1111-4B9F-A52A-fffdc51e9c901033.mspx

Step 2: Now, you must reduce the hardware acceleration on your computer and check the issue to determine this, click on the view tab and then, under DirectX features, check to see whether DirectDraw, Direct3D, and AGP Texture acceleration appear as disabled. If this is not the case, try to reduce hardware acceleration.

    1. open the screen resolution by clicking on the Start button, Control Panel, and then, under appearance and personalization, click on adjust the screen resolution.

    2. click on advanced settings.

    3. click on the Troubleshooting tab, and then click on change settings.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

4 move the hardware acceleration to min slider.

Please let us know if the steps above resolved the problem.

  • Scroll bar on the Windows Photo Viewer

How you activate/display the scroll bar on the Windows Photo Viewer?  I use two Thinkpad T400, one with Vista and the other is 7.  On the Vista machine, when I open a large photo, the scroll bar appears so I can go up or down quickly.  7, this scroll bar disappeared.

Y at - it a patch that I can apply to get it back?  It seems that it is not in the option or settings...  It's REALLY DOULOUREUX because I have to deal with large images.  And I will return to the Vista even though I hate so much.

    Help, please!

    Hi Omoikane-kun,

This is normal, instead of the scroll bar, you can left click and use the symbol of the hand to scroll up and down to view the full image or adapt to the screen.

  • Change the order of pictures in Windows Photo Viewer?

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to change the order in which Windows Photo Viewer load images? To clarify, if you use a large (or whatever that either size) display of the icon in a folder, when I hit the "next" or the "back" button, rather than display the image to the left or right of the current one, photo viewer load the preceding or beneath it.  Basically the program reads from top to bottom in vertical columns, rather than left to right on a horizontal line. Is it possible to fix this?

No sorry, there is no configuration for this.

  • Where windows photo viewer temporarily stores it's posting photos?

OP: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I have files on a flash drive photo. I opened the files with Photo Viewer. With Photo Viewer, always open and showing one of the photos, I ejected the flash player. The photo shows still in the viewer of photos on my computer. Where is this photo file is temporarily stored on the computer, making it possible for me to see him again in the photo viewer? And I can access the stored copy of the photo file and save it in a folder, without having to reinstall the flash player to access the original copy? I even ran ccleaner and emptied my temporary folders, and the picture is always displayed in Photo Viewer.

Windows Photo Viewer keeps in RAM until you click on the X to close the photo viewer.  It is not stored on the disk, and when you close the viewer or restart your computer, it will be gone.

  • HOW TO REMOVE THE TAGS IN WINDOWS PHOTO VIEWER.

I am running Windows 7-64 bit (SP1). I'm trying to remove labels unwanted in the drop-down list in the Windows Photo Viewer in the property list. I found several suggestions for Windows Vista, but none related to Windows 7.

    I think I found a solution.

It was not a question of photo viewer that I first thought but was in fact a problem of Windows Search.

He is somehow connected to Windows search. I removed my C drive options of indexing of the situation, then I deleted the Windows.edb file which is renewed when you restart the computer. Of course, it removes all the tabs, but not who is on the photo files themselves. I have more no tag unwanted or misspelled.

  • Satellite C650 - Windows Photo Viewer crashes at every time currently in use

    Hi all

My C650 is a new purchase and so far I was not able to view photos; on a memory stick, in "My pictures" or any form using the Windows Photo Viewer. Once I double click the photo icon, the image enlarged to full screen and freezes at "loading" is displayed.

At this point, I can't even finish the process using windows Task Manager. I am only a student quite inexperienced in the functioning of computers, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

Please don t get me wrong, but the best option for you is to ask a friend to you how it works and how to deal with different applications and different image formats.
I mean who knows what pictures you have, which forms, what capacity and so on.

With the standard format jpg, to avoid any problems. For example, in the windows Explorer you can find Public folder pictures with a few sample photos. You can open these photos?

  • Windows 7, Windows Photo Viewer

When I try to open attachments photo (jpeg), it defaults to the Windows Photo Viewer, says loading but does nothing more immediately to freeze my HP computer. I have then close and restart my computer. Efforts to re - open the attachment has the same result. How can I solve this problem?

    Hello michael11

Initially, Windows Photo Viewer is part of the operating system, but Microsoft's move into the Windows Essentials Application. I'm linking you to the site that you can go to download and install Microsoft Windows Essentials.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Live/Essentials

I would like to download the full version of the software because an update for the Windows operating system you are using, or Photo Viewer Windows could have altered the application or could prevent you from using the application as it is not installed as expected the update.

I would like to know if this fix works and if you have any other comments or concerns please feel free to re-post.

When press "print", it appear just 'paper size', 'quality' and 'paper' only!

Please kindly teach me to turned the pages I need.

Waiting for your reply or response!

    Hello

You did not mention the version of the operating system that is running in the computer with the problem. We know the version of operating system on this computer.

Windows Photo Viewer application allows you to view multi-page TIFF files, but it does not allow to print a number of pages in a multi-page TIFF file. In order to achieve this functionality, you can have a look at the workaround solutions provided in the answerin the following threads:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/unable-to-print-only-one-page-in-a-multiple-page/737b4afc-0D0E-4cb8-8374-f6de218720b2

(Note: in the link above, a third-party program is proposed as a workaround.) Please keep in mind that using a non-Microsoft program is at risk of the user and for all the problems arising from the use of these programs, the user must contact the manufacturer of the respective program)

I'm not one of these workarounds should help you. If you still need help on the question or with Windows, get back with more details and we will be happy to be of assistance.
