  Hi MS supports,

  We have two Windows Server 2012 Standard which must be activated with the information of the right at the bottom of the windows desktop as shown in Figure 1.

  Then, I run the command slui and enter the product key to activate as shown in figure 2.

  Unfortunately, I got an error with already shown as Picture 3.

  Note,

  • I called the Activation Center as indicated in picture 4 in Norway to attempt activation by phone, but the CSR told me that they cannot generate the confirmation ID to activate the operating system.
  • The server is not connected and cannot be connected to the internet for internal use only.

  Can I have your help to solve the problem? and I also need to know the impact if it is not enabled.

• File Sharing - access denied

  I have a small network (no domain server) with 3 desktop computers, all connected to the same switch:

  Computer #1) Windows 7 32 bit.
  Computer #2), Windows 7 64-bit.
  Computer #3) Windows 7 64-bit.
  I'm having problems trying to navigate between computers, readers:

  	Computer 1	Computer 2	Computer #3
  Computer #1:		Error: 8004005	Access denied
  Computer #2	Access OK		Access denied
  Computer #3	Access OK	Access OK

  Computers 1 & 2 get Access Denied errors when I enter the valid administrator ID/PW

  * I tried to turn off the Windows Firewall.
  * I allowed network discovery, file and printer sharing and the possibility of using accounts of users & passwords for you to connect to other computers in the 'Center of network & share '.
  * In each case there was an error "Access denied" when prompted, I used the id/password admin for the destination computer.
  * All 3 computers WAS part of a group of houses, but none are now part of a group home.
  Any ideas as to why I get 'Access denied' with the admin ID/PW?

  My current problem on my server of storage here is that the we have a DB folder on the D drive that gets automatically not shared. We have uninstalled all 3rd party on the server. Our primary does the work to push and get to the storage server D drive in one of the folders called "DB file".  I tried to check, but I am not able to find the cause of why this is happening.

  I just bought PowerEdge T110 II with Windows 2012 Standard operating system.

  It come with preinstalled OS? is activation required? Last time I bought Dell is Dimenstion 8400 with Windows XP, which was related to the Dell motherboard, so activation was not necessary.

  I will probably play with the installer and try different things before I install OS for the long term. If activation is required - reinstall OS more than once on the same box is problem? My knowledge of the client MS OS-es, that's fine, but I don't know anything about the servers.

• vCenter Simple install on Windows Server 2012

  I try to install vCenter with Simple installation on an instance of Windows Server 2012 Standard virtual.

  But the installation completely hangs when installing SQL Server 2008 R2 on the vCenter Single Sign On package installs.

  Progress of the installation comes to: Install_sql_engine_core_inst_Cpu64_Action and a stand for a couple of hours now and no activity of the CPU on this process.

  I will attach a screenshot.

  Its not so bad. I did several times. What to install. Ex: SSO, the inventory Service, vCenter Server and web client is enough car radio.

  Well, I would consider making the following if you have an existing database of VC.

  -Take the DB backup file.

  -Install SQL and restore the DB on the new server.

  -Install the VC and connect ODBC etc...

• Shared drive file Windows Server 2012 r2 access VERY slow

  Every time I open a file that is located in a shared folder on a drive with r2 Windows Server 2012 (videos and PDF with graphics, in particular), says file takes forever to load, videos often stutter, etc.. This affects all computers connected to the field with access to these shared folders/drive. Is there any solution for this? I couldn't find one so far.

• PC running XP cannot access shared Windows Server 2012 Essentials

  Hello, I'm having a problem with access to files shared on my Windows Server 2012 Essentials on my Dell Inspiron 1100 running XP Pro SP3 I changed all my computers in the workgroup of names to match NetBios servers and all my other computers have access to stocks with the exception of the Inspiron 1100 trying to access in the sharing I am told that I do not have access, I am not offered a prompt to enter a user name and password I am simply denied access. Does anyone know how to get around this problem or fix the issue fact XP and issue with Server 2012 or vice versa. I can access the server to office assistance remotely, but not shared folders which seems strange to me. I've already posted the same question on the TechNet site too since it's a server issue but I find that you can easily post there and receive no help, so that never but I find that almost every subject I posted here, someone has at least made an effort to help with your problem.

  In fact, I created a user account on the server and the XP client gave them both the same user name and password and now I have full access to server shares. I have often continue to try while you wait for answers and find my own solution.

How would I do that? All my computers at home running the version of windows 7 and 8 lay, so I can't use a domain.  I understand that I may access to any where, but I understand that in the installation of the role of the experience of Essentials, you must configure a domain.

  I use Windows server 2012 as a server file only with 64 GB RAM and 16-core intel Xeon and size of shared file is only 800 GB. problem is that after a few rate of file transfer from client to server got time slowing down as below.

  copy data between client to server transfer rate are ok (60 MB/s)

  copy data between transfer of client server are low (200 Kb/s)

  whenever I rebooted the file server, it worked super fast, but after a few hours I get this question with transfer rate.

  can someone help me with this regard.
