I knew that's not Microsoft, I asked their location, phone number. and web address and I got all these details, any chance of Microsoft for this follow-up?

I can provide all of the details I got.

    Thanks in advance,

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

    Please see:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

As for the follow-up to the call, then it's probably more a job for the local police / it's for Microsoft, which is only a software/hardware company.

Yes, you are right not to trust that it is not windows or any part of Microsoft support services.

This is a complete scam and one that has become very common these days. . Don't think anything such a caller said, do nothing that he tells you to do and hang up on him immediately.

  • Fake call? I received a call today from someone claiming to be Windows Support

    original title: fake call?

Today, I got a call from someone claiming to be Windows Support, saying he was getting my computer error messages. I (stupidly) allowed remote access to my computer and I was told that there were a great many virus that needed to be removed or it would break. While he was trying to sell my software I bcan suspect and ended the call. Now, I am very worried that if it was a fake call, could he have installed something on my computer, or access personal information, and how do I know?

Please read the responses from the link at the end.
Pay attention to what Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP.
Already, you let the sammer with access remotely. Nothing else short of reinstalling Vista and change your account and the password will save your computer.
    Do it NOW.

I live in the United States and received a phone call today from someone who claims to be from Windows Support and the Canada.  They said that my computer sent error reports and that 85% of my software has been altered.  They said they had a difficulty for her, and the service was free.  I guess it was a fraudulent call. • Phone call from Windows Support is authentic?

I just got a phone call from a man named Philippe de Windows Support. He said that he was receiving reports of errors in my windows and asked me to check Computer Management Applications to find errors. He asked me to remove these errors. I could not remove so he said: if I went to a Web site that he could delete them for me. I refused to let him to the computer via the code and said that I would like to remind him. His number was 02032865123, he said, that it has been supported Windows. He had an Indian accent. It is a call?
It's my son e-mail account, but it will transmit to me.

This is HOAX and FAKE for sure. Microsoft will never contact you unless call you them first and ask for help. Microsoft will never know which PC encourage error.
