Windows Update cannot find updates

I have Windows 7 64 bit running on a HP Pavilion desktop computer. For some reason any Windows Update seems to be stuck in a loop infinite 'check' the new updates, but it actually never finished looking for updates. I get no error message, the computer does not freeze, and I get a message saying no update is available - it never really ends looking for updates (hours and hours can pass without result). Computer is connected to the internet and no other applications hogging the internet connection. I upgraded to Norton 360, full system scan ok. I also tried the 'fix 5202' and who is not worked.

I get problems when trying to install new software on your computer (specifically a printer HP and Medal of Honor Tier 1), with an error 1935 with each of them. I guess the main problem is with Windows Update because it would probably update my machine and solve the problem that the Installer seems to work in!

Any help would be welcome.

Scott

Hi so3003,

1. run the built - in the convenience store and check the results: open the Windows Update troubleshooting tool:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter

A 1935 error is one of the most common problems that can prevent a user to be able to install the .NET Framework, J# redistributable package, Visual Studio or any other application that uses tables Windows Installer MSIAssembly and MSIAssemblyName to install assemblies.

2. I suggest you to download the removal tool of .net framework from the link below:http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/pages/8904493.aspx and remove .net Framework completely from your computer. Once uninstalled, restart the computer

And follow the steps from the link below: when you try to install an update for .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5, you may receive Windows Update '0 x 643' error code or error code Windows install "1603":http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100

  • Windows XP cannot find NTLDR on PC Windows XP-Win7 dual-boot

I have a PC that has been working fine until yesterday.  I booted into Win7... and he locked himself more tight as a drum... has not identified ctrl-alt-del, esc or a right click on the start bar.  The only option was to make a difficult stop holding down the power button.

When I got to the top, it has not begun, but said instead he was missing NTLDR, or that he was corrupt.  I broke the Win7 DVD and used to start the PC and went in service options.  I tried the start up to fix... without success. I tried a few other options in the menu with the success.  I finally said to restore to an earlier date using a backup.  Well well... I want in the side Win7... but until now I have been always failed to him start upward on the side XP.

When I boot in Win7 (this is the C: drive, and XP becomes drive D :), I can see the XP partition on drive D: files.)  In research the D: drive, there was the No. NTLDR file on the drive.  So, I jumped into the XP Pro CD and copied the file NTLDR on D:\ i386 folder.  When I did, he said that it was already there (I have my folder options configured to display hidden system files), even if she was nowhere to be seen.  I said to replace the current one with the one I copied... and he appeared at the root of D.  NTDETECT.com was also not appearing in D:\, so I copied that from the i386 to D:\ record.  Yet once, although I couldn't find NTDETECT.com via D:\ research, when I went to copy NTDETECT.com on D:\ he asked me if I wanted to replace the existing copy.  I said yes, and NTDETECT.com then appeared at the root of D.  The boot.ini file was also missing.  I found a backup of this file in the Windows\pss folder.  Similarly, if there is no such file to D:\, when I said to copy the file to D:\ he asked me if I wanted to replace the existing copy.  I said yes.  I now have what should be the good copies of NTLDR, NTDETECT.com, and Boot.ini in the root of D.  However, I still cannot start XP... it says NTLDR is missing or corrupt.

In my online research, an article said that I should have a copy of NTLDR, NTDETECT.com, and Boot.ini on the Win7 partition so she would recognize WinXP... but even once, it does not either... I always get the error NTLDR missing/corrupted when I select Windows XP on startup.

Someone has an idea how I can fix this so I can get to my XP partition?  Oh... and another anomaly... When I use the Win7 DVD to access the 'repair' process, he sees that the Win7 operating system... it does not see the Windows XP operating system.  Is it the way it is supposed to work?  Is it only supposed to see just the OS to Win7 on its partition and don't see any other operating systems on other partitions?

Sorry to hear about your problem, but how it relates to Windows Update features?

What suite of application or security anti-virus is installed on the Win7 partition and is your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

What application or anti-virus security suite is installed on the Windows XP partition and is your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

A (another) Norton or McAfee application has already been installed on the computer (for example, a free trial version which is preinstalled when you bought it)?

  • Impossible to rename files in Windows 7 "cannot find this item.

Since the last batch of updates of Windows 7 (KB915597, KB3179573, KB3115475, KB3177723 and KB915597), suddenly I am completely impossible to rename the folders, even newly created. When I try, I'm greeted by an error message indicating:

    "Cannot find this article.

It is no longer in [location of the folder]. Check the location of the item and try again. »

I clearly see that the file has not changed, and hit the "Try" button again makes the error message disappears for a split second before returning again.

I am sure that no recent updates is responsible and this uninstallation of the update should solve the problem, but I don't know enough about them to 99.99969999503% (or how exactly the origin of the problem) to determine what. No one knows that one is?

  • The Airport 5.6.1 (10 Windows) utility cannot find Airport Extreme Base Station

I have the Airport Extreme Base Station (model A1408) model.

I'm under Apple Airport Utility 5.6.1 on Windows 10.

    10 Windows Firewall is disabled.

All of my WiFi devices, including my Windows laptop, 10, all work fine on the wireless network, and the light on the base station is green.

Life seems good... EXCEPT, when I run the utility Apple Airport (version 5.6.1) it says it's "impossible to find wireless Airport". Clicking on Rescan is fixed not. Power by bicycle to the base station doesn't fix it. It worked before, so this is the behavior seems to be somewhat intermittent. Lately, it doesn't quite work. So I can't reconfigure my base station.

Is this a known issue? Y at - it a known solution?

First of all, understand that the AirPort for Windows utility has not been updated since Windows 7. It 'works' on later versions of Windows, including Windows 10, but is not designed to work with the new 802.11ac base stations.

We'll see if this utility is installed correctly on your computer.

For Windows 8, 8.1, or 10, AirPort for Windows utility will work have two applications listed in the window Apps & features: 1) airport & 2) Hello.

    • Move or delete the file next to the C:\Windows\System32 folder: c:\windows\system32\dnssd.dll (Note: this is the Client Hello library and is required by the utility AirPort.) If this file is missing would be the main reason that you aren't able to find the base station. However, even if it is present, it cannot be properly registered in the Windows registry. In other words, Windows is concerned, there is no.)
    • Download AirPort for Windows install.
    • Run the Setup program by using privileges "Run as administrator". (Note: If you have the option to repair or uninstall, choose the option to uninstall.) To complete the uninstall process. The Hello application should now be missing in Apps & features list.)
    • If you do not dialogue to repair/Uninstall window, then let Setup install AirPort for Windows in its default folder.

Then, make sure your computer cable or wireless network adapter is configured for IPv6.

Now, try to access the base station with the utility again.

  • Windows PC cannot 'find' iPhone after iOS 10

    HI guys,.

Not sure if it's a coincidence, but after update my iOS 10 s 6, my Windows 7 laptop cannot recognize the iPhone as a drive or a drive so that I can open and shoot pictures on my PC. It was that the laptop only opens a window "auto play" when the iPhone was connected, thanks to which I could open the drive and see all the photos from my camera roll. Now, he will even appear in the file Explorer despite syncing with iTunes without any problems.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

I'm not totally convinced, but I think that you need to update iTunes to version 12.5. What I'd normally do is manually uninstall iTunes and all Apple related software. I have download and install iTunes. This article can help you:

  • Windows Vista cannot find the CD/DVD drive

The problem: my computer does not find my CD/DVD drive, it is not listed in Device Manager as at all CD/DVD drive, it has power because it opens when I press the button, and when I put a CD, it does nothing.

My computer: I have Windows Vista Home Premium, dv6700 Notebook, 32 bit, running on the System Pack 1. (I tried to update to the pack 2 system, but at some point, he is simply decided to AC turns off and when I booted up my laptop, he did a system restore and poof, System Pack 2 was gone, and I never re-installed.)
What I tried: I tried the Fix It program here on Windows, and it has detected a problem (if I remember correctly, but had no trouble for him); I tried deleting the upper and lower filters (which I haven't really found, because the CD/DVD is NOT an option in my device manager); I tried setting my computer back to factory settings completely.
Basically, I'm at a loss to know what to do to try to solve this problem. I don't remember how long this has happened (at the time, that my hard drive does not open even for me to put a CD) and I don't see what program could have caused it as appropriate. The only rider listed is listed under disk drives, and it's WDC WD2500BEVS - 60UST0 ATA Device (I don't know if cela help/questions in all). I do not have a disk; the laptop comes with Windows Vista and if she had a drive anyway, I didn't like this laptop was given to me by my father. I don't know what else to do to try to solve this problem. Someone please help.
