  If you want Office 2007 updates to appear in the installed updates again, you would need to uninstall/reinstall Office 2007 and install all the updates again.

  Assuming that Office 2007 is installed & working properly and no update is offered when you run a manual check for updates now, you might want to leave enough alone (that is, do nothing) - then see if the 2 updates for Office 2007 SP3 be released next Tuesday (a) receive, (b) successfully install and (c) are listed in the installed updates later.

  PS: The possible causes of the problem are messing with registry cleaners, messing around with the Software Distribution folder, and the fact that it was a computer refurbished when you bought it.

  3. double-click on the file that you saved in #1 above (e.g., windows-kb890830 - v3.10.exe) and run a quick scan. Do not TOUCH the computer until the end of the race (wait at least 30 minutes).

  4. assuming that the quick scan under #3 went well, now run a full scan. Yet once, do not TOUCH the computer until the end of the race (may take an hour or more).

  [Comment: when you download/run the MSRT tool as part of the installation of updates, analysis will take much longer time (vs. manual execution) that your system a little "tied" by the automatic updates and the entire update process does not complete until after the MSRT tool has run.] In short, be a lot more patient next time.]

  5. now open the journal (C:\WINDOWS\Debug\MRT. (TXT) & go downstairs. Highlight the last two 2 inputs (e.g., the results of the scans that you did in #3 & #4 above) & copy it to the Clipboard.

  I turned on my laptop last night after several months of inactivity, and when I ran Windows Update I met an interesting problem. Windows Update took a long time to look so I decided to let it run all night. When I turned my phone back and connected, I could do the same for an update of the framework.

  So far, those who have been the only two updates to cross, and I could not download or install the rest. An additional problem is that my Windows Update always displays a prompt stating "Windows 10 upgrade booked" despite the deadline passing on the free update. When I see the confirmation, I get a popup Windows 10 stating that the offer has ended. I don't know if this is related to why Windows Update does not work, but I saw more guests for 10 Windows on my main computer once the delay.

  Other things I've tried are to update manually the time at the time of Microsoft servers and try to download and install the updates one at a time, but neither contributed to the situation. In addition, Microsoft Security Essentials apparently downloaded and installed the latest definition files on its own, so it would seem that the problem is only related to Windows Update.

  I've attached screenshots of my Windows Update history and update. Any help would be appreciated.

• Windows Update stuck forever looking for updates. Win7 Ultimate x 64 SP1

  General information

  I had a system that works with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. It is a platform for development and simulation that encrypted weeks of configuration and installs operational mode. It was installed in 2012 after my old motherboard has been damaged (I had to get a new license... not just).

  I opted for Windows 10 months ago, but because I wasn't ready I postponed. All of a sudden he just kept tenacious and like a child (not the friendliest approach Microsoft!).

  So, how can I get Windows Update to work again? I lost about 4 days of work thanks to this "upgrade".

  To get Windows update works in 2016, install the June update client is necessary. It is only available as part of the monthly update rollup. It's July KB3172605, requiring pre-installed KB3020369. See:

• Windows Update does not work after installing SP1 of W7.

  A friend of mine gave me a Dell Inspiron Mini 1012 with 32-bit of Windows 7 Starter (installed at the factory date: 01/11/10). 1 GB of RAM, processor 1.66 Ghz I duel performed a factory reset so I could start with a "new" computer When he was asked to implement W7 for the "first time" I put W7 to recommended settings. For the next few days, everything seemed like it was working fine. Updates are automatically downloaded and installed, until W7 SP1 has been installed. Now, Windows Update is stuck on "checking for updates". WU is always fixed to automatically download and install, but when I opened WU I see the message "check updates for your computer". When I click on the button control updates WU is stuck updates. I left this process continues for 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Dell Mini didn't stop, go to sleep, or put into hibernation, but WU is to always check the updates.   The installation is blocked by a search being updated in the background. Research of automatic update to 'never check updates', reboot, and then install the value KB3102810.
