Windows Update page fails to load

After that my updates of September, my update page now shows just to the white top with a message in the middle that says page does not load.  Still, Windows Update automatically and download of updates, but I have to stop inorder to install.

I used the fix it tool link here in the forums and have downloaded and reinstalled the last updated using the links here in the forums too.

However, when I use the Windows Update menu start or get them all of the control panel is a blank page in the window with the message in the middle that the page does not load.

I have sent an email with the same question but thought that post in the forum too.

Also, I use Vista Ultimate.

There is no error created by trying to open the link, just a blank white page with "Page to not load"

Hi, I tried the above, and my windows update always said "page failed to load". are there other methods to solve this problem, or another way to update my windows vista? Thank you

Update: windows blinds was the problem and needed to be updated. He has somehow conflicts causing the error "unable to load the page. for those of you who do not have blinds on windows, check your other programs made by the same company (stardock) and update those. hope this helps those out there that have this same problem.

  • Windows Update KB968930 fails with the error code 80070026

Windows Update fails to load after the creation of a restore point. Someone at - it guess why?

The error that you receive on the Windows Update page is 0 x 80070026 (ERROR_HANDLE_EOF STRSAFE_E_END_OF_FILE) seems to be the problem with the update being corrupted during the download somehow.

I will recommend allows you to perform a sweep of auditor of file system (CFS) to make sure that the Windows system files are in place and not the origin of the problem.

  • Error, "Page failed to Load", while customizing the control panel.

    Hello

I recently inherited a second hand dell tower which has Windows 7.

Everything seems to have set up ok but when I go into control panel customization, I get the message "Page failed to Load".

After having sniffed around, it seems that the Control Panel does not use a program that the computer recognizes.

I went through various forums for the answer, but nothing helped.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

Thank you for the update. It is unfortunate to know that you still experience this issue.

As you are facing the issue in the safe mode, as well as in the new user account, it seems that there is corruption of system files that cannot be replaced by the new file system. But, you can also try to check your hard disk for errors of the last step. Read the following article.

Check your hard drive to find errors in Windows 7

Warning: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

Please, try the steps above and update with the State.

Thanks again for we keep posted!

  • Unable to access Windows Update page

I am running XP Service Pack 3 and were unable to access the Windows Update page for a few weeks now. I get an error message saying that "Internet Explorer can not locate the page". I tried several routes to access the update page, but they all fail. Analysis of virus and malware picked up nothing. I am running Internet Explorer Ver 8.

It turns out that the problem was software malicious. After the last post, more I tried to do at least I could do: Internet Explporer wouldn't start again, I could not copy files from one drive to the other and my backup software has been disabled. I have reinstalled Windows to solve problems. Scans of my files from backup using Quick Heal has revealed the presence of Trojan.Gen, who may have let in some other bad guys. I can now access the update site.

    Hi Sarah Brown,.

    (1) remember you to make changes prior to this problem?

    (2) what is the complete error message you receive?

Method 1: Run the fixit available in the link below and check if that makes a difference

Difficulty of broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks

Note: Fixit would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of data loss from that particular area.

    Method 2:
if a Protection of resources Windows (WRP) file is missing or is damaged, Windows may not behave as expected. Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:
