  • Windows 7 64 bit does support USB 2.0 drivers?

    Hello

I just got my first Windows 7 64-bit machine, always had 32-bit before. When I tried to plug my iPhone using the same USB cable I've used on my 32-bit computer, iTunes does not recognize the device (the iPhone). After reading the forums of Apple, it seems that ports USB 3.0 on my 64-bit computer can be the problem, so I bought a USB 2.0 PCI Express card and installed it this morning. The card came with a different driver diskette. But I can't get this USB 2.0 card to install a driver either from the disk or Windows Update.

So now I wonder if Windows 7 64 bit and USB 2.0 are even compatible. Anyone?

    TIA,

    Paula

    PD

There are 6 ports only USB is USB 3.  The rest are USB 2.  I suspect your problem lies elsewhere

The Windows Office live mail does support the rules of message for mailboxes IMAP mailbox?
If not, then someone can advise on alternative e-mail client which takes support the feature. I know Thunderbird that supports this feature, but Thunderbird doesn't have the feature of autofill dropdown as gmail address (where it lists all e-mail addresses containing the alphabets typed in any part of the identification of email).

  • My Pavilion does support USB 2.0?

Only, I formatted a Pavilion 780n and loaded XP sp3. Seems that there no USB 2.0 support. Looked everywhere for a driver but found nothing. Seems to me they had 2.0 when they did the P4 processors.

Someone at - it a good driver for this old HP?

Your office has the motherboard P4B266-(the Danube) . If you still have the original disks, then you should be able to get the rivers on their part try Windows Update to find the USB driver. Another source may be the utility update driver Intel.

The ICH2 southbridge complies with USB 1.1. This means that there is no USB 2.0 onboard support.

If you want to that usb 2.0, so I suggest to install a PCI card in an othe the three empty slots. Here is a USB 2.0 to Newegg pci adapter card which adds 4 USB 2.0 ports for @ $8.00

  • Windows XP and Vista does support Multi processors

    Hello

Could someone tell me if material motherboards today multiprocessor support Windows XP and the same for Windows Vista?  If yes would someone also indicate which version of Windows XP and Vista no it support and even for 32/64-bit options? I read that you need Windows Vista Ultimate Edition to run on the hardware of today? Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance

    Victor

If the material is supported on a given operating system is determined by the manufacturer equipment.  If they support a given operating system, then you are good to go.  If they do not, things will be less a lot rougher.

However, as a general rule, the professional level of the Windows operating systems support multiple processors if that is your only concern.  I hope you understand the difference between multiple processors and multiple cores.  :-)

Answers to your, "you must have Windows Vista Ultimate Edition to run on the hardware of today?  Is this correct? "query is, 'no, No '.

For Windows Vista (I want to jump, if I thought to upgrade):
    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-hardware/multi-core-processor-and-multiprocessor-limit-for/d00780f8-76e8-4AF6-AA49-e64a7007c17f

In regard to the 64-bit or 32 - bit - still once it comes down to the support of manufacturer of material for a given operating system * and * the said OS architecture.

It of for homework, isn't it?

    Salvation of the paths,

Looks like you are trying to get XP Mode configured, that will install a virtual machine for you to run your legacy programs.  This feature is available in the professional versions, full and Enterprise edition - so your property in this aspect.

You get this error message because you do not have the chip installed for hardware - assisted virtualization technology and it's good. you don't need more.  Click on this link http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx and select your language and edition.  Then scroll down to step 3.  You must download and run the third component called Windows XP Mode Update. This update will remove the requirement that you have the chip mentioned above.

    That should do the trick.

  • Windows Virtual PC will allow me to use Office 2007 and Office 2002/2003 on the same PC without problems?

I have Windows 7 Enterprise (32 bit) installed with Office 2007. New machine. However, I am a trainer/support specialist and many of my clients have XP Microsoft Office 2002/2003, and I need to provide support. It would be much easier if I had XP and Office 2002/2003, but I know that Microsoft does not recommend the 2 versions on 1 PC. Windows Virtual PC is the solution?

Yes, that might work.  You can install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode, and then install Office 2002/2003 in the Virtual PC in Windows XP.  You can then run the Office 2002/2003 programs in Virtual PC, or close the Virtual PC and run them in Windows 7 from all programs > Windows Virtual PC > Windows XP Mode Applications .  You can even have Office 2007 programs and 2002/2003 open at the same time in Windows 7. • Virtual PC 2007 Windows 8

I downloaded Virtual PC 2007 from Dreamspark program so that I can use it with windows 8 (I had planned to be able to run all the previous operating system 3, IE 7, Vista, XP) the program installs but it does not open when I try to access it from the startup screen?

Is there a way to fix this or is there a program of Virtual PC 2012 become?

    See you soon

    Craig

Windows 8 does not support Virtual PC 2007 (which was abandoned). Instead, Windows 8 Professional and Enterprise editions have now supported Hyper-V integrated. You will need a CPU Hyper-V compatible (I found the average hard disk is not the same as support for hardware virtualization, they are two different things). In addition, you must manually enable the Hyper-V feature on Windows features page in Add/Remove Programs (left)

  • NI-VISA 5.3 driver Wizard does not support USB 3.0 devices

    Hi all

It seems that NI-VISA 5.3 does not support USB 3.0 devices. When I try to use the driver Wizard to create a driver for a USB 3.0 device, I get the error "ERROR-1073807178: device descriptor error - value not valid bMaxPacketSize0 (must be set to 8, 16, 32, or 64 bytes). I noticed that the unit has been giving wMaxPacketSize0 of 512 (2 ^ 9). But the driver Wizard treats the value 9. So I think that Assistant driver does not support USB 3.0 devices. If someone could confirm this?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Jackie

    Hello Jackie,.

Unfortunately, USB 3.0 is not officially supported in VISA 5.3 when you use VISA Driver Wizard.

A non-official solution is to work around the "information in the descriptor' by selecting 'Other' in the list of devices. You will need to manually enter the 'USB manufacturer ID (vendor ID)' and 'type USB (Product ID) Code. You will then need to find your driver in Windows Device Manager, right click and select "update driver software". This, however, is not a workaround solution guaranteed as NI-VISA 5.3 is not officially compatible USB 3.0.

  • "My external hard drive does not appear in Windows Explorer and cannot open 'Help and Support', an error message" Windows cannot open help and Support because a system service is not ongoing.

    Original title:

Everything was fine until yesterday. Juice now, when I plugged the external HD into the USB port it does not appear in the 'my computer' window. It is recognized by the computer as it is present on the list of the "Disk Clean Up" and it also appears when I click on ' Safe Remove Hardware ' on the taskbar. But if she does not appear in the 'my computer' window I can't work with it or don't even know what it I have arquived in it.

Pops up a window saying that "Windows cannot open help and Support because a system service is not ongoing enforcement. " To resolve this problem, start the service named help and Support '. OK, I tried to open 'Help and Support' ' Start Menu ' and the same window appeared again to "not have a system service that runs". I don't know what her soul precisely and I have not the slightest idea of what I need to do to correct this 'disappearance' of Service 'system '. There is nothing without the appearance of HD in the window of thw work? Everything else works fine and the calculation is virus-free. What should I do?
