Question about the license of Windows Vista
Hello. I didn't know where I should post this. I have Windows Vista, I purchased an upgrade. My question is, "I am allowed to install the software on a friends computer. Because I don't need the software, can I sell the software. I know that Microsoft has its policies, but I don't know what they are. I don't want to do something that I'm not supposed to do.
Thank you.
Original title: Microsoft Software
Hello
You posted in the appropriate Forum.
Yes, a retail upgrade license can be transferred, as long as it is removed from where it was originally installed.
One license is for a SINGLE Installation.
___________________________________
These are the General rules for OEM and retail licenses, which can also help you in the future:
If the machine came with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.), this product key supplied with the laptop is preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.
OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) is related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when dies of this machine.
Only retail Operating System license that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.
And retail licenses also can be installed on a machine at one time.

Question: How can I format a PC running pre-installed windows Vista?
I would like to format my PC because of the problems I've been as blue screen errors.
I bought a PC pre-installed Windows Vista and I don't have the DVD of windows.Question: How can I format the hard drive? Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
____________________________________________________________
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence

When I try to log on to a file server, I get the user name and password window. My computer Windows Vista keeps adding the name of account before the user name when I click the OK button to open a session. Of course, it then then tells me I have the wrong user name or password. Anyone know how I can disable this function?

Re: Satellite A200: Question about the Windows Vista serial key
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 and I doubt, in everest, I can see the key of Windows Vista, but it's different to the Windows key in the tile to the bottom of the laptop.
I change anything in the laptop because I bought, I have use once the recovery cd, but I have not a pirate key or something like that. Why this different key?
Post edited by: Admin
I agree with the user above.
The serial key you will find at the bottom of the device is not similar to the serial key that can be read using a few 3rd party applications! But you don t need such series on your Toshiba laptop key.
The restore CD contains an image of Toshiba which is already activated! -
Two questions: Windows Vista and XP on HP a6130n
A6130n HP from my father (AMD Athlon 64 X 2 dual processor running Windows Vista) had a hard drive crash. I replaced the HD and tried to recover using the recovery discs, he has created. He was suspended during the recovery process of system usually at about 3%. I have clean records and restarted several times without success. I was able to load Windows XP using my Windows XP disk, but many drivers do not seem to work (sound, network, etc.).
Windows Vista is my next step to order the HP restore disc, or are there other options?
Windows XP: My father has renounced this PC and gave it to me. I think I would have preferred XP. There is no drivers listed for this model for XP. Are there options with this route? Should what drivers I download?
Thank you very much for your advice. Dave.

My question relates to the use of Windows Vista Edition backup Home Premium 32-bit
I use Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit backup to create a backup on an external hard drive files. the disk is almost full, I noticed the backup appears to create a new set of files each time that it will consume a considerable amount of space. Is it safe to delete old files to free up disk space as current backup do not complete due to lack of space. I don't want to lose all the essential files in the erase process.
Yes, you can delete the old files, because they are not needed when the new backup is created.
My suggestion is to set up a backup incremental and will ovewrite the old backups so that you don't have to delete old backups. -
Windows Vista fails to start up normally. (ADVANCED QUESTION)
Well, I'm tired, here's the deal. I'm trying to fix a computer hp laptop. This is the error message that windows has not shutdown properly or a recent hardware change or messed up software operating system. When I load windows normally, it is stuck at the loading screen. When I go there to remedy, he suggested a system restore and freezes. When I put in a system repair disc, what happens with the error 0xc00000e9 status, which means basically that it cannot communicate with the disk drive. If anyone has ANY suggestions please help!
"When I put in a system repair disc, it comes up with error 0xc00000e9 statehood."
You cannot use a Windows 7 disc on a Vista computer.
It is not going to fix anything.
And make sure that borrow you the 'bit' correct (32-bit or 64-bit) Vista disc version.
There must be the same version of 'bit' that what is on your computer

Upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7 (Questions about the process)
So I'm planning to buy my copy of windows 7,http://cgi.ebay.com/Genuine-Microsoft-Windows-7-Home-Premium-Upgrade-64-Bit_W0QQitemZ260551082265QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3caa0e0119#ht_1414wt_732
First of all, regarding the link above, it will improve my computer from windows vista to windows 7? My friend told me do not buy it because I need a product code any. I am really worried about this purchase. (I see from the reviews that it is legitimate, but I was wondering what you guys think about this).
I made an advisor to upgrade to windows 7 and got this: http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab29/Yozuru/windows.png
So should I go with this? Also how can I transfer my files to windows 7 if I do the upgrade?
Thank you very much for reading this.
