Use the deep Scan option. It may take some time.

The System File Checker can repair some of the files in there, but probably not all.

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

    Ainjel Hello,

This occurs generally early in the boot process. For example, the problem may occur shortly after the splash screen appears, and you will see a black screen with a moving progress bar. Specifically, this problem occurs generally when the system tries to load the i8042prt.sys driver. The problem only occurs in certain hardware configurations.

You need the installation disk so that you can try to perform a system restore which is the WinRE recovery environment and then once you are able to start, you can try to install the fix below:

    Error message when you start a Windows Vista-based computer: "STOP: 0 x 00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA".

  • Windows Vista starts with empty office and the mouse cursor, then restarts

I have trouble getting Vista to start on an Acer laptop.  The laptop is an Acer Aspire 6920 G with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit on it.

The PC will start in an empty office with stop mouse cursor on this screen for about a 1 min and then it restarts and you go through the same process again.  I tried the safe mode and last good configuration to know but get the same results.  I have also tried to run the Startup Repair tool and get the same screen.  I can launch Startup Repair to boot from a DVD of Vista Home Premium 32-bit and I can run but it makes no different.  When you restart, you get the same problem.

    Does anyone have an idea?

No it isn't the trunk upwards with the black screen and the mouse.

    Hi KevinBricknall,

    1. have you made a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

Since you are unable to run start up repair boot from the Vista disc, you can try to perform a system restore start from the disc and see if it helps.

For more information, you can consult the following article:

What are the system recovery options in Windows Vista?

    Hello

    Method 1:

    Perform a clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    Note:

After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • WIndows Vista system restore or/relocation question

Currently, I'm working on my uncles computer. Its operating system is a 32-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium. He would like a system restore to this topic, but there is no restore point when I tried. Is there a way to do it or just do a reinstall without the disc because it was preinstalled when he bought and delivered with no disc.

    Thank you

    Hello

Here's how to use the system restore:

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    ________________________________________________________

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    ____________________________________________________________

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought it (which you should have like you do not have a disc)

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

    __________________________________________________________

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • We tried to upgrade our 32-bit windows vista system to Windows 7 32 bit

    Separated from this thread.

We tried to upgrade our system to 32-bit windows vista to windows 7 32 bit and find no right answer to what we have to do to upgrade to windows vista 32. So far, our experience is our head is ROTATING and can someone help us?

First of all, make sure that your PC meets the requirements of Windows 7 - system Windows help

You can buy Windows 7 from one of the major retailers who still like mainline, new egg, or Tiger Direct - Amazon but none is smaller that that if you want to be sure to get the real and not renovated or eBay!  If in doubt ask here before you buy, read the comments of the sales page for the experience of others.

Once you have the disc, put it in the drive to make an update install with Windows 7 .  If you have a Vista factory install I would firstly follow these same steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware that will optimize for a better upgrade.

If this facility is not satisfactory, then do the vastly superior clean reinstall Windows 7
