    Hello Jamie-94,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

It looks like something has become corrupted when you tried to install or open your application.
I want to uninstall the application first.
Make sure that all the files/folders related to Sony Vegas 8 trial have been removed. This includes My Documents.

If the file is a .msi, you can use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup utility.
Click here to download it. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

Otherwise, try to install it again and see if you get the same error.
If still problem, I suggest you post your question in the Forum Sony listed here.

Hope this help to solve your problem. Please answer if you still need help.

  • Windows Vista - search failed to initialize?

Hi all. I went to my computer the other day and when I typed in the search bar, it is said 'Search cannot initialize' and basically refuses to get anything. I tried a few solutions, but these come short to half way through the tutorial because of a few things.

One person said 'research', which of course cannot be searched via the start menu because that's the problem! Laughing out loud. I can't find anything.
Another step that I saw in a different tutorial says to restart the index or something involving to go into Control Panel, then system and maintenance, but when I go into the system and maintenance, there is nothing to find. It says "There are no items to display." So, basically, system and maintenance is empty.
Who is supposed to be an automatic problem specially for my problem solver (I thought it wouldn't work, but thought why not give it a try?)
He ran last night and he seemed to take quite some time, so I let him do his thing of the day after. I go back to the computer, and he claims that all problems have been resolved. It fixed problems related to coding, windows search not start, restart windows search, windows search does not search, etc.. Large. Very well. So, I'll test this claim out and find that it has not fixed all the. I get the same exact error message when trying to search for anything.
So, please, help me on this. Is there a way to solve this annoying problem? Having no research on your system, it's like having no google on the internet. It's just debilitating. And it takes forever to find everything manually. I also tried restoring system to go to an earlier point in time, BING, another problem. There is only a single restore point - which was an update of windows. I restored to that but it solves nothing, and when I return to the system restore, it is right back in the restore points, so I guess that windows automatically updates right after the update is cancelled. With the point of not more than a restoration to return, (which will not solve the problem), I fear of system restore is out of the question as well.
    ANY HELP? Thank you

Hey I solved the problem by rebuilding the index.

To remove and recreate the search index:

    1. ReachControl Panel
    2. SelectIndexing Options
    3. Click on Advanced (this will open the Advanced Options dialog box)
    4. Select it Rebuild button.
Don't forget that I had to click on "Classic Mode" before to do because the modern version would not display all items. Some may not have this extra step, but I had to. I am writing just so that anyone else having this problem can see how to fix it! Thanks for your help, if!

  • Reinstallation of Windows Media Center XP error, the application failed to initialize properly (0xc000135

I had to install a new hard drive after the death of my old. I use my Dell recovery/reinstallation disk. The first time I tried installing that it froze after the reboot. I then did a repair installation (twice) and each time got the following error:

    PxShare.exe Application error.

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000135).  Click OK to close the application.

It appears at the end of the installation, but when my login screen is displayed, it shows only one account, administrator and request a password. I have not configured any accounts when I did the installation and you do not have a password. I tried to enter without password, using admin as password and check-in safe mode did not help - it still asked for a password.

I don't know if the two problems are related or not.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello DennisUSMC,

Look at the thread in Yahoo Answers.

    Hello

    It happens with any application?

Method 1: You can also put the computer to boot and check if any third-party application is causing the problem:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: after a repair, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Will he take it?

    Thank you

    Hello

    1. Since when are you facing this problem?

    2. don't you make recent changes?

    3. What is the full error message?

    4. what programs you try to run?

If you upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7, once again depends on what program you use. If there is a problem with this program, you could get the same question.

If these programs are third-party programs, so I suggest to uninstall and reinstall once and check to see if the same problem happens.

Alternatively, you can also try to restore the computer to an earlier point and check if it helps:

  • Isass.exe failed to initialize properly, click on ok to terminate the application (OXC0000005)

I am running windows XP 32-bit (windows XP (R) (Build 2600.XPSP_3_gdr.101209 - 1647: SP3 & IE8) and had no problems at all until I decided to have a good wipe and reinstall XP.) I have a recovery disk only.

Everything went well until I installed updates to SP3 - the service pack itself did not cause the problem only updates thereafter.
I reinstalled windows 3 times now and will continue to receive these error messages:-Isass.exe failed to initialize properly, click on ok to terminate the application (OXC0000005)
I also get exactly the same message with savedump.exe replacing the lsass.exe
I don't know that I have no virus or anything bad like and I can not even start in safe mode. My pc is no longer needed.
Can anyone help with this please?
    Thank you
Note - also runs the firewall Zone alarm and Avast antivirus: both are up to date.

    Hi petrospapamihelakis,

Looks like one of the installed program on the computer has been corrupted.

    ·         Have you checked the problem in safe mode?

Step 1: Try to start in safe mode to see if you get the error.

Step 2: If he is able to start very well without any errors, and then try to try perform a clean boot to normal mode to check whether a third-party program is causing the problem.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

You can also read the following article to resolve the problems on the issue.

Perform a clean boot to determine if background programs interfere with your game or program.

Note: Make sure that you put the computer to a Normal startup once you are finished.

Occurs when I try to restart my laptop and ends the boot process.

03/08/11 I get this same error, and I see that nobody has answered it yet. DPR anyone has any idea other than a new image for this problem?

Rodolphe/Spyware/Malware infection, blue screens don't have an option to click OK to finish or even forget that you can click on anything. If you do not work in safe mode or even last known good configuration you can try a repair installation, but you can still loose data like that. I would just pull the information you need out of the HDD using a speaker and then wipe and start over from scratch. Don't forget to scan your files if you do not import everything using a speaker. However if you can access the mode safe mode with networking, try to download malware bytes and running (don't know how its spelled) it will remove files such as _is27.exe which is a (Rogue.Installer).

    Hi James,

1 - is the complete error message you receive?

    2. did you of recent changes on the system?

Check the behavior by starting the computer in a clean boot state.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    Hello

You can try the steps below and check if that helps. You need the Windows XP installation CD to go forward with the steps below.

    (a) use the Recovery Console, which is described in the article below.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314058

Note: You must make sure that your primary boot device is CD drive - go into the BIOS to ensure, if necessary,

    (b) (b) demarrer start from the Windows XP installation CD-ROM, and then use the EXPAND command, like this:
    Expand d:\i386\wininet.dl_ c:\windows\system32\wininet.dll

    (c) then type EXIT and when the pc reboots, you should be able to boot XP.

The Windows.old subfolder contains all of the files from a previous installation of Windows. If you copied all your personal data of the user subfolder of windows.old. Then, it is safe to delete.
