Windows xp corrupted Archive CAB

Hey, guys:

Is there anyone out there that can help me solve the following problem I have been struggling with for many days now: very irritating and frustrating:

Archive CAB to C; / the... corrupt system volume information is what my antivirus avast boot scan keeps displaying:

It all started with the wrong .net Framework version 2.0, I downloaded from this site; I had to uninstall & reinstall this version of .net Framework uninstall the latest version of .net Framework first of all that I learned from this forum in that regard until I got the .net Framework 2.0 I needed without error; I had to do just that several times in passing.

Then, I installed the patch, computer center, later, I learned from this site that I could install the microsoft security scan to solve this problem, without any concrete results, because I get the same message my avast scan at startup = corrupted CAB Archive form.

I even tried .net Auditors setting with no concrete results, not to mention essentials security scan.

Who can tell me what to do to solve this problem, please?

How can I get to which weaken the CAB archives in order to uninstall & how can I download it from this site later?

This site is really a great & useful + very easy to use I learned a lot from a lot of fun, but it's really the first time that I realize that this site is really worth an improvement; This is the first time, I can't find useful or practical solutions to this problem of my in this site, sadly enough.

I don't want to try to get the number of Archive thiscorrupted CAB fixed by others than microsoft, because not only I don't think them enough but also because I had so many problems with bugs & other while trying to get help from other sites, so

Thank you, enjoy

    1. you made any hardware or software changes the computer recently?

    2. What is the mark of a computer model?

    Step 1.

You must be logged on as administrator to do these steps.

    Step 2.

I would suggest allowing you to run a Microsoft security scan to confirm that the computer is virus-free or remaining viruses are deleted.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Start the computer in safe mode, and then delete the file if you are unable to delete it in normal mode.

  • update of Windows 8 corrupt my installation of the HP software

I have a HP C7280 all-in-one on a wired network connection. I have a desktop Windows 8 with the HP software installed. It worked fine until a week or so, when I discovered that among the updates of Windows 8 installed corrupted my installation of HP. I don't remember precisely the update was responsible, but there was about 24 Windows updates installed so far this month. Now when I try to open the HP Solution Center, I receive a message indicating that the configuration is not complete and re - install. I have downloaded the software suite, performed a "Uninstall" and then reinstalled the software. However, the printer still fails to complete now.  I could perform a restore of the system to a date in early October and then disable the updates of windows. But this isn't an optimal solution.

So, I'm stuck and could use some help.

I found the updates of Windows 8 corrupt my HP environment security. Maybe it's just my computer Windows 8 (x 64) pro, but if you have the same problem I did, see if the follow-up to the security update is installed.

    Hello

    ·        Since when are you facing this problem?

    Method 1:

You can run the check disk by booting in safe mode and check if that helps. To start in safe mode follow the link given below.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

Once you start mode without fail, try and run the disk check and check errors.

    Method 2:

If you are not able to run the check disk in safe mode, you will need to boot into the recovery console, and then run check say. To do this, you need the Windows XP installation disc. The enforcement procedure checks the disk in the recovery console.

    (a) Insert the Windows XP CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive and restart the computer.
Note: Click to select all of the options required to start the computer from the CD-ROM drive if you are prompted to do so.

    (b) when the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Console history.
Note: If you have a dual-boot or multiboot, select the installation that you want to access from Console history.

    (c) when you are prompted to do so, type theAdministrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just C:.

    (d) to historic Console command prompt, type the following then C::

    Chkdsk /r

    (e) allow to run INTACT until the completion

    (f) report any error

    Hope this information is useful.

    Hello

These methods should help for Windows 7 or Vista.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

You can try to fix it with Safe Mode - repeatedly press F8 as you bootup. THE ADMIN
Safe Mode account has no default password (so unless someone changed
    the password should be available).

Some programs such as the Google Updater (if you've added the Google toolbar,

  • Windows xp sp3 system root of the Hal.dll error or not found after auto update of windows system corrupt does not load.

12/07/2011 my system automatically downloaded a system update and rebooted when it restarted, it wouldn't load windows and gave this error message. What should I do? I tried to remove the hard drive and put it on another computer if I could look at the problem but I don't know what to do to fix. My backup information are on another hard drive in the original computer. I use Norton 360 for my backups.

It is extremely unlikely, there is nothing wrong with your file hal.dll despite what says the error message (do not try to replace).

It is extremely likely that XP just cannot find the fine hal.dll where it says to look for.

XP is maybe not able to find the file, it's file system is corrupted (Norton that sometimes), or if your c:\boot.ini has somehow become corrupted and told XP to find files in never never land.

You must first run a chkdsk /r on your distressed HARD drive and if that does not do it, you have to redefine your boot.ini file.

If you have the drive in another machine, you can open the file c:\boot.ini with a text editor and copy/paste the content back here for analysis.

You can also rename your file c:\boot.ini to something like c:\boot.ini.bak (so now you do not).  In a single partition installation, XP is not even a file c:\boot.ini to start.  He'll complain briefly, but always begin (unbelievers - try it).

t can take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

I'll keep an eye on your Norton since when your charge again, Norton System may corrupt your file system again and you will have to repeat the chkdsk/r to repair (so you can set Norton).

I put the drive in the original system and fix it there with the XP Recovery Console.  After all, it's where he has to work, right?

If you have any bootable XP installation CD authentic where you can start the XP Recovery CD of Console, you can make a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required).

  • The Windows Installer corrupt in XP

I uninstalled unnecessary programs like very slow system - XP Home Ed - and seem to have corrupted the Windows Setup program. Now he continues to come and do other software either close or so slow. Looked at the so-called free download fixers who then want me to pay. I dunno much about inside the computers either thanks Matylda

Sounds to me like you have a virus, a corrupt or missing Windows install would not prevent the execution of your software or make the computer run more slowly, you don't even know anything about it being corrupt or missing until you tried to install the software.  These "false" errors are usually caused by viruses or other parasites such.  Don't pay for any fixers for this kind of problems, they will not solve anything, they are mostly all nothing that scams to steal your hard earned money!

  • Windows Vista corrupted by the major update

I installed MS Office 2010 on my wife's PC. This triggered the valves on the pc that has frozen on startup black screen middle to the top and now does srun various services. I can't connect to any network and various other bits of surface and parts seem to be broken.

    Symptoms:

No network (main problem is a network service location does not start)

    No print spooler

    AVG does not start correctly.

Worst thing is: I can't find restore points, the OS disc (probably 1000 miles away in another country) or the license sticker is on the bottom so is carried by 6 years to be used in the tower.

It has a partition repair but the time before disks big enough to contain a copy of the full backup of the operating system.

    So I have several questions:

What is my identical to the product key product ID?

Can I download an appropriate Vista disk or do I need a replacement from the manufacturer of the laptop?

If I buy a Vista Windows 7 upgrade, is upgrading possible thanks to a corrupt system of vista?

Is there a way to patch up the system without completely re - install windows?

You are lucky, Acer recovery disc for him as they do not them still carry for many models that had preinstalled Vista.

You could look at this idea however.

Are you sure that they provided a Vista disk with him?

Acer normally responds on the use of the recovery partition to reinstall the operating system configuration (new condition)

With an Acer, you press the left Alt + F10 at Boot keys to start this process.

  • Windows 7 corrupt drivers do not install

I had to reinstall windows 7.  Now some drivers are corrupt and or not installed.  What would you recommend as the best supplier to reinstall as Cnet for example.

0 windows Update / update of Device Manager, driver

    1. the PC manufacturer for equipment provided with PC purchase

    2 OEM for additional hardware

3 the Intel® driver update utility as appropriate - it now helps only with the currently supported hardware and, for older hardware, it ends with a link to the Intel Download Center where they keep older drivers.

4 Microsoft update service catalog - login as an Admin first use IE not another browser, go to the site, search for the name of the element [as WiFi Dell 1397 card, adapter to display Mobile Intel 4 - just do the best you can to avoid too much bother with long search results lists]

Personally, I would not bother with any third-party providers of driver drivers must come from a source of hardware manufacturer in the first place or they would not exist.

    {Added later - as Ken points out, if you get drivers anywhere else, then you don't know what you found actually.}  {As better drivers are obtained from the sources listed above and drivers must come from one of them in the first place or they wouldn't just make these third-party providers of pilot (waste your time / take your money / malware distribution)?}

  • Windows XP corrupted - without disks

I have a HP A350N XP desktop. He gave me a reliable service for many years. Recently, the computer got a virus - Sasser worm - which finally forced me to make a slight recovery of the C drive, using Windows recovery on the partitioned D drive. I was able to back up all personal files, but finally decided to start over with the C drive and reformat completely. Windows Recovery itself was no longer working and of course I had no discs containing the application files and it my original XP. In the end, I reformatted the C drive using DOS commands and purchased a full copy of XP to load... Now the computer does nothing. When I try to load my new copy of XP, it begns to do and then said: "Windows checks the hardware on the system." The computer does for a minute or two, but then nothing happens. All of my devices were, such as scanner, printer, etc., have been disconnected. I'm fairly certain that the version corrupted my original XP came with the PC file remains on the partitioned D drive. How can I get the computer to recognize tha new verson of Windows XP?
