Windows XP - LG DVD - RAM drive does not read the DVD. It's playback CD only... I ran the fix microsoft program... but it did not help at all.

CD/DVD players use different lasers to read CD DVD vs. Eventually, your DVD laser has grilled. It might be time to replace your CD/DVD drive.

It seems that the driver does not work and the DVD unit is not showing in my computer - the device however seems to work - I was told a solution may be to download the driver and re-install again. Any idea where I can get that? You have any other suggestions on how to fix this?

I did some research today and found the MFG. cable has no Web site, or win 7 drivers for USB/parallel cable. I almost gave up and came across this MSFT site:

which mentions turned off bidirectional printing at the bottom of the screen of printer properties/ports. BINGO! It works fine now. This is the problem all along, PRINTING BIDIRECTIONNELLE. I don't know what this means, but it will print in my case. I spent so many days of work on this issue, finally resolved.

I get an error message on my dvd - ram drive - Mat * un UJ8A0AS DVD-RAM

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I tried the solution of Microsoft Web site for this problem, but it did not work.

Is someone able to recommend a fix for this problem. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the device without result.

Have you tried to remove the device from Device Manager and reboot the laptop?
After reboot of the device will be recognized and installed again.
Please, do it and see if the problem still occurs.

Tecra M7 DVD: CD/DVD RAM drive does not work since the installation of Vista

I did a clean install on my new Vista Ready M7. He had XP tablet in a first time, and the DVD player worked fine. In fact I used to install Vista (Home Premium).

Now it doesn't work at all. It runs but does not read. Device Manager tells me impossible to start the device. Tried to update driver and he told me that he has the most uptodate pilot.

Downloaded all the drivers from the Download Center of Tosh for upgrade of Vista of M7 (who got bluetooth, rotation etc. function properly the screen). But none of the downloads seems to be a driver for the DVD - Ram drive. He cannot find a driver anywhere else (including the Panasonic site).
DVD player is Mat * a DVD - RAM UJ - 841 s

Any suggestions?

Have you tried to install the XP driver DVD-RAM since the Toshiba page on the Vista operating system?

But listening the CD/DVD drive uses the current Microsoft drivers that are included in Vista or XP.
This is why an additional driver should not be necessary!

An additional proposal;
Remove the drive from the Device Manager CD/DVD and restart the laptop.
After restarting again the OS should reinstall the drive and renew the software.

Another tip:
-Launch the registry
-Choose the registry key;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
-In the right pane, click UpperFilters and LowerFilters, and then click on remove.
-Reboot the laptop

DVD - RAM drive does not recognize blank CD

When I check the properties of the DVD-RAM drive before inserting a CD, to the title of the record, I find the check box turn on CD on this drive already ticked. After that I insert a blank CD in the drive, DVD - RAM turns to CD. When I double-click on the CD icon, a warning message appears "D:\is is not accessible. Incorrect function ". When I opened the properties with the blank CD in the drive, I see that the box enable CD recording was erased. Not to mention that the screens of CD Free properties 0, use 0. If I once again re-checkmark the box above then CD resumes its normal operation with Windows built-in CD burning software, but continues to display an incorrect number of bytes in the areas of free / used. I installed on my Roxio Drag-to-Dsc computer. Let me emphasize that my DVD player had performed flawlessly with Roxio installed from the beginning. This problem came only recently. Step 1: Uninstall and reinstall the Device Manager DVD player. Automatically search for updates to the firmware on the manufacturer's Web site.

a. click the Start button and then right click on my computer. Click on properties.

b. click on the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

c. now, expand the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, click with the right button on the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive and click on uninstall.

d. restart the computer.

Step 2: Log on to the DVD drive manufacturer's website and install the latest updates from driver\firmware.

I don't think that there is a way to just disable Roxio. For more help, you can contact Roxio support.

but I guess the way to write it as follows:

1. go to the Device Manager.

2 - uninstall the USB not recognized yellow marke and uninstall Valideity WBF DDK to add/remove components.

3 - Download the driver of sensor of fingerprint of CV for your labtop.

4 reinstall HP Simple pass without uninstall it so you do not miss the credintial registered, you have sites Web and windows login.

I have an old HP Pavilion G6-1d98dx I got like a hand running Win 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1 and cannot get the wireless working. The orange/amber light on the F12 key is on and cannot be disabled. The Wi - Fi equipment is Ralink 5390 rev3. The device does not appear in the device as one 'hidden' or 'other' Device Manager, much less as a network device. I downloaded several different drivers on the HP site for this unit, including a dated January 2016, without success. Any suggestions?

The combo DVD/CD on my laptop drive isn't in Device Manager or Windows Explorer. The door is not ejected. You must use a paperclip, poking into the hole to open it. I also re - it sitting, but it changed nothing. We had this laptop for 1.5 years and the disk worked great until yesterday when trying to install Starcraft II. Installation failed and it has messed up also the DVD/CD drive.

We read some other difficulty advice and tried the upper and lower filters in the registry, but there was no entires of upper and lower filters in the key.

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
the parameters.
