  First of all, you need to update to win 8.1 which, in itself, can solve the problem.

  Secondly, you have several applications of malware (McAfee and Symantec) and is never a good idea.  I remove the two and use the built in Defender in its place.

  These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

  Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Launch auditor.  You don't need to run memtest again unless the auditor is not the cause, or you want to.

  If you are overclocking anything reset by default before running these tests.

  So I tried to download KB979482 here:

  However, when I try this, Windows Update Standalone install displays the message"this update does apply to your system."

  I can live with that (if the message is actually true). But if if this patch does not apply to my system, then why Windows Update keep trying to install it as an update 'important '? How can I get off the list so that the Windows Update log is not cluttered with all of the failed attempts?   Finally, I ran Windows Update Fixit tool available.  He fixed a couple of things (default location, another minor config) but not this problem.

  P.S. running BitDefender 2012 if it matters...

  To answer my own question, you can reset the status of the following method KB2509997 8 download and rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution. It would be nice if there was a less force brute to do this, because she loses all your update story and settings, but at least it works.

• Windows 8.1 with Bootcamp installed in El Capitan. Do not delete with Bootcamp so I used the disk utility. Now, Windows always tries to start with an error, the 'other' space illustrates.

• Went from "Windows Media" to "Windows XP SP3". Now, I get "Error Message 871122" trying to get a wireless Internet connection.

  Well I looked around the PxHelp20.sys file and it looks like it is related to things CD\DVD.  If it was me...   I rename the file to .old or move it to a temporary folder and then restart and see what happens.  If you try that bak to view the results.  Good luck. QQ learn manage!

  Hi, I have windows home basic and started having a problem getting my updates [error code 641] there were 7 now there are 9 that I can't seem to download. I've been in contact with microsoft and have clusters of solutions but nothing worked. I see that many people have the same problem and they tried the same thing, I tried to no advail. I searched through all my updates and found on 19-09-09, he tried to download service pack 2 and it was cancelled so I tried to reinstall and it tells me that it is already installed.   I searched my programs and found that recently Windows automatically updated and downloaded "Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer" and "for 2007 Office system Compatibility Pack '. Now, I think it has something to do with it, because they were the most recent updates, before the pc crashed. But I also fear that it may be a virus, which has completely hijacked this PC. How am I supposed to get rid of a bug, if I can't even get the necessary antivirus?

  and you can NOT create a restore of yesterday and today!

  Are all drivers such as your network card, card video, printer and other drivers or applications all the updates?

  1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

  2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
  3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
  4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

  When I start my pc which has windows 8 on it. It is said

  I tried to restore and recover the system, but it did not work. reset does not work. I tried chkdsk via the command prompt, but it says "unable to forward the message recorded in the log of the events with the 50 State". I m not professional and my pc vendor has no me recovery CD too. What to do please help.

  Then, you can follow these steps which have been drafted by Sébastien M:

  a. Insert the media such as (DVD or USB key) and press the F12 key and click cdefault Hanger or any other option located at the bottom of the screen.

  b. in the next screen, click troubleshoot option, this will show you different options of WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) to solve the problems with the computer when it is in no State to start.

  c. now click on repair automatic, this will open a wizard that automatically diagnose and repair problems with starting the computer.
