Wireless network does not connect

"At the time to choose a wireless network to connect to, the computer keeps turning of ' acquire a network address" to "not connected".  Can I have a virus?  The key of wireless network has been re-verified.  The wireless card find several near by network and seems to work very well.  I did not change any system and this just started happening.

If you get an error message, please report completely, without paraphrasing.

I know you said you checked your wireless network key, but please try the following (assuming you use Windows to configure your wireless network card):

  1. Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
  2. Right-click on the icon for your wireless adapter and select Properties
  3. Click on the tab 'wireless networks '.
  4. In the list of "Preferred networks", select your network and click 'delete '.  Unless you regularly visit other wireless networks or have a specific reason to keep the configuration of a particular wireless connection, I suggest that you remove all entries in the list or favorite networks.
  5. OK your way out.
  6. Go to "View available wireless networks" and connect to your network.

If this does not help, I suggest to delete again your network wireless in the list of preferred networks (see above), but now utility access to your router configuration using a computer connected to the router by Ethernet and temporarily disable all wireless security features.  As a general rule, only wireless security should be the wireless encryption, but if you have configured additional barriers, such as MAC filters or time restrictions, turn them off as well.

Can connect you to your router without active wireless encryption?  If so, re - activate the encryption on the router using the Ethernet-connected computer, making sure that you know which has been entered into the router for the encryption key (utility router configuration most show the key to encryption "in the clear" so that you can read).  Then try to connect wirelessly.  When you access the key this time, it should work.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query to the Microsoft forum. I will definitely help you with this.

The problem may occur if the network drivers are not correctly updated or you need to change the network settings.

Method 1: Please follow the steps described in the article Microsoft help to the given address:

Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7

How can I troubleshoot network card?

    Method 2:

I suggest that you change options for both the systems on the network in the Advanced sharing settings (Open Network & Sharing Center > Advanced sharing settings to change):

    -Enable network discovery

-Turn on the file and printer sharing

-Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in public folders

    -Turn off password protected sharing

Now, try to map the drive, follow these steps:

    1. click on Start, click on computer and click map network drive in the options under the address bar.

    2. in the drive box, click the drive letter to use.

    3. in the folder box, type \\server\share, where you can type the IP address of the drive to be mapped. For example, if the IP address is 192.168.6.xxx, you type \\192.168.6.xxx.

    4. click on Finish.

  • New wireless adapter does not connect to my router

at home, I have a wireless router WRT120N set up for wireless internet connections, I also use the wireless adapter that comes with it. I recently bought a new adapter wireless like this: http://global.level1.com/product_d.php?id=891 and it connect to the router? Help, please

I think that the wireless connection on your router may not work properly.

    Create a new wireless network.

Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Open the router setup page and go to the Wireless tab, change the name of the SSID wireless network to create a new wireless network. Change the channel to 11. Save the settings.

Go to the tab of sup of wireless security and check the security settings. Make sure you have the key/password network correct.

Go to the sub-tab to Wireless MAC filter and make sure that it is disabled.

Go into the settings wireless Advanced tab change the interval of tag to 75, RTS and Fragmentation threshold to 2304. Save the settings.

Now ty to connect to the new wireless network.

If this does not work then try upgrading/re-Flash the firmware on your router.

Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable.

Download the latest firmware from the site Web of Linksys and save it to your computer. Open the router configuration page and update the firmware on your router. After upgrading the firmware of your router, reset the router and reconfigure.

Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure.

If that didn't help then share what router you're using, please indicate brand and model? I'll offer to make sure that your router is updated with the most recent firmware, also I personally always use Google's DNS servers. Some servers DNS provided by your ISP (Internet service Provider)

You can change this setting by going to do the following:

Press the Win key on your keyboard.

    1. Type Ncpa.cpl (this will take you to the network connections)
    2. Select your wireless connection
    3. You will see a screen on the botton, you will see a button called properties, near the left button
    4. On the Properties menu go to IpV4 (if you don't see scroll down) double-click to open
    5. In this screen, you will see (get IP address automatically) slot that you wil see the Obtain DNS server address automatically select this option
    6. Type 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 airfield

I will also choose a static IP address, and this can be done here as well.

  • HP Photosmart C309a - but wireless network can not connect

I have a new printer C309a, but it does not connect to my wireless network.  I have read all the posts and tried everything I can think of (I'm not expert network but reasonably competent), but nothing helped.

I use a router NetGear DG834N which works very well provide a wireless network for an iMac, 2 iPhone and an iPad. There is also a PC running that Vista wired to the router.

When I try to connect the printer to the wireless network, it finds the network OK but when I put the password it fails to connect.  Test report says wireless MAC address filtering can be enabled.  But... MAC filtering is disabled on the router.  Wireless isolation is disabled on the router.

Tried to get this happening for a few weeks now.  I want to emphasize that I managed to print a test page the first time it has been installed (so there was a wireless connection then).  And I got a wireless connection briefly a few days.

Quite perplexed and not a little frustrated.  Can anyone help please?

I think it's a question of wireless mode.  Try the other settings from the drop-down menu where it says 270 Mbit/s.

  • New wireless network does not appear on any computer

Thanks in advance for any help. OK, so I have a HP office connected to the internet through a router WRT54GS.  I had 2 laptops connected to the NICU my wireless router. A (HP) laptop has built in wireless modem/adapter.  The other laptop Dell was NICU equipped with a wireless adapter card.  The problem is that the adapter on the basically dead Dell laptop, I don't give no internet connection.  So I tried to install a more recent network card wireless linksys with speed on the cell phone booster.  The instructions asked me to press the orange button on my router Cisco access point.  I knew thatd be a problem.  While the laptop connected to the internet, my old wireless network seems to be deleted.  Installin the new card on the Dell laptop has created a connection b/t it and the router. The other laptop (HP) is now offline and not even a slate of the new network.  So I tried to create a new wireless network on the main desktop computer.   Now this new network is not detected by the wireless or portable printer.  Other networks is detected if.  Or the original linksys network is detected, Im not sure.

OK sorry for any confusion, but my basic problem is that my new wireless network is not detected on the laptop or the printer. I tried unpluggin the router. I also tried to manually in the network settings.  I also tried to disable the firewall on my main computer. Nuthing worked. I checked the Device Manager, everything seems fine.

My router is just old? Its at least 4 years

I don't know what to do. Thanks again for your suggestions.

NVM, I got the impression to work. just installed it on the laptop wireless.  I still can't get the 2nd adapter linksys to laptops to work. I'll ask for help in this section of the adapter.

    Hi Amcfad,

    ·         What operating system is installed on your count?

    ·         You receive an error message?

The majority of connection inside Windows 7 problems have been resolved by installing the latest driver for the device obtained from the manufacturer.

  • Satellite L450D-128 - Wireless internet does not connect

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L450D-128 and it won't let me connect to a wireless network and I can't find the switch wireless and ive tried FN + F8, but it does not work. Could you please help.

    Thank you Ryan

    Hello Ryan

I don't know what version of Win7 do you use and what can be the problem of using WLAN but if you use original recovery image, everything should work properly.

At first check please if the wireless network card is installed correctly. You can check in the Device Manager.
If the wireless network adapter is installed correctly, it must be enabled. Usually, this can be done by using the FN + F8 key combination.
    >.. .and ive tried FN + F8, but it does not work
What does not work exactly? You have problem with the FN keys in general or just using FN + F8?

When you press the FN key you find cards flash at the top of the screen?

  • Acer Aspire 5315 drivers for wireless network does not

This unit had top win7 and everything worked well. I reloaded Vista back and updated, all the drivers have shown as installed except for the wireless network, so I downloaded all the drivers of 3 of the website of Acer wireless network. Only the Atheros installed but still does not work, for the Atheros device ID is:
    PCI\VEN_168C & DEV_001C & SUBSYS_04281468 & REV_01

The wired network connection works fine, but with the wireless, the pc icon double in the tray system, but not with the 'flowers' shows as when I connect the wired ethernet cable. The difference between when win7 was on this unit is as well the wireless connection and the dvd that worked perfect but now after reloading Vista, the Wireless does not work and the dvd also does not show as well, I had to install codecs to show him all. It's not logical, why win7 would work to perfection and not the vista which was what this unit came with?

It's ok, I found the driver here:

    https://www.Atheros.cz/Atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=22&system=3
