Wireless router broadband 1000M

I intend to upgrade my broadband from 500 M to 1000M, but do not know if my router LINKSYS WRT AC 1900 can support (I think my hardware can do).  Can anyone help?  Thank you very much.

Hi, hom. The 5 GHz network and 4 Ethernet ports can handle up to 1 Gbit/s connection speed. For more details, please see this link.

  • Can I use as a point of access Wireless-G broadband router?

I use a router broadband wireless Netgear as main router to the ground floor and connected to the internet. I connected an access point wireless of LinkSys (WAP54G) as a wireless Repeater. Same SSID however, I turned wide dissemination. My office upstairs, I have wifi internet access very well and remain connected indefinitely. However, shortly after connecting to the Office VPN (off-site), the connection drops-both internet and VPN! I ran a loooong cat5 to the office on the floor and when it is connected to WAN I remains connected to two connections indefinitely. I do not have another AP, but I do not have a router Wireless G (WRT - 54G). Can I use this router as an AP, the same SSID, but I noticed on previous posts I should reactivate broadcast on all devices and change the channel settings. I noticed, when I went into the Setup utility 192.168.1.1, I access my netgear router, how to enter the Linksys router?

    Thank you

    Ken

Nothing beats an AP on the WRT mode. It's just connecting it via the main router LAN port, you can use the access point without going through the router within the WRT component.

You will have to do exactly what I wrote. Don't change anything on the Netgear.

    1. disconnect your network WRT. Wire a single computer to a LAN of the WRT port.

    2. open the web interface of the WRT to http://192.168.1.1/ since the computer you plugged on the WRT.

    3. on the main change WRT configuration page the LAN IP of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2 and disable the DHCP server.

    4. save the settings. Unplug the computer.

    5. wire one of the LAN ports of the WRT to the Netgear. Do not use the internet port of the WRT!

That's all. You don't change anything after that. It is the final configuration. You can now access the web interface Netgear http://192.168.1.1/ and the web interface WRT to http://192.168.1.2/

DSL via a wireless router: slow XP, fast on Vista

Hello, I just moved into a new House that has DSL service. My Vista laptop connects seamlessly to the network, but my XP machine trickles in at 50-150 Kbps and is flaky. I rebooted everything, power all pedaled, verified and updated the drivers. (Maybe I missed something?)  The specs are all lower. Any thoughts on what is happening?

  • Wireless router WRP400 WAP54G Point Wireless WPS54G print server Wi - Fi

I have a router broadband wireless Linksys WRP400 with 2 phone ports and a Linksys WPS54G wireless print server. Unfortunately, the signal is too weak to detect the wireless Print Server 20 meters/yards away at the other end of the House. (Works fine when they are close together).

Linksys Help Desk told me that a WRE54G amplifier is not useful to extend range, because they will have only a helping hand signal by 50% compared to a WAP54G wireless access point that they recommend.

Can you suggest the best way to increase the signal between a WRP400 router and a wireless WPS54G print server? Would a WAP54G wireless set to halfway between the two (or in some other way) is working to boost the strength of the signal between WRP400 router wireless and wireless WPS54G Print server?

I don't want to have to wire all devices.

No forum topics cover using the WPS54G and WRP400 together, hope I can push the signal strength wireless - thanks for your help.

  • With the help of WRT300N Wireless Router with a USB modem (satellite)?

Hey there!  I tried to find this answer in various places online, and I saw a few things that have led me to believe that this is possible, but nothing to explain as thoroughly as I'd like.  I have a N of Linksys WRT300N wireless router.  For the next few months, new home construction we do service by cable or DSL, so we use the Cricket's broadband Internet, which connects via a USB port (Cricket is a 3G network, managed by a cell phone company).

I'm trying to understand if there is anyway that I can connect internet Cricket USB to my computer, as usual, but then connect my router to the computer somehow so that I can distribute this wireless signal?  I'm having crazy to move the thing USB from one computer to another and would really like to connect my PS3 wireless signal, thus.

Does anyone have an idea how this could be done?  If so, could you explain to me what I need to do quite exactly?  I am running Windows Vista on this computer.  Thank you very much in advance for your help.  You're going to be spare me months with a value of pulling my hair out, believe me.

Yes you can do it, USB Modem not connecting to the computer, the computer must be connected to the Internet Port of the router and then it will give a Wi - Fi connection and...

To do this, you need to enable Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)...

  • Adding a new wireless router from Linksys at an old Linksys router system

    Hello

I'll install a new standalone DVR to a home video surveillance system.  I would like to be able to access it with my current PC so I would like to add a Linksys wireless router.

I'm currently 1 Linksys Wireless - G Broadband Router with speed Booster model WRT54GS-BP and 2 models WMP54GS from PC that have PCI adapters Wireless-G with speed Boosters (802.11 g).  I had these installed since 2006 and although they are no longer supported I really want to have to upgrade because they work very well.

    My questions are:

If I add a new Linksys router to my new DVR will be able to communicate with my older Linksys router and adapters?   If Yes, what would be the best new router Linksys type should I buy?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

    Hi Dan,.

Please excuse the delay of time here, but I had a hard time to post a reply.  I added Ethernet Wireless-N - WET610N bridge.  When I installed the software, I kept getting error 102 - an error occurred communicating with your device.  I called Linksys for help and the tech had me make a few changes to the router 192.168.1.1.  I was able to install the Web Service to display the camera on both of our PC.  So the addition of the WET610N allowed us to access the DVR wireless!

Thanks a lot for all your help!
