Wish list of smart remote control

I used the app smart remote with the Alpha 6000 and here are a few things I wish he can do.  Maybe if the community made a list, we can influence the development of products!

1. display the meter on smartphone, if the device is in manual mode.  Currently, the only way we can adjust aperature and shutter and getting the right exposure is watch the meter of the rear camera.

2 save Raw files only.  It is useful remote applications to record values such as the the White Balance, focus Mode, ISO and restores the original values when it stops.  However, it is not clear why the choice for some of them has been limited in the remote app.

3. stored on images in-camera GPS closed.  The remote app not geolocate the JPG sent to the smartphone, but I do not use these images because of the low resolution.  As the phone is two-way communication with the camera, couldn't the location be stored in JPG and RAW images on the camera?

4. seeing camera on smartphone battery level, given how remote app burning through camera batteries.

5. not sure why the remote app changes the display on the back of my camera.  Rear camera screen, I used to use has no vision of the image, but a lot of information of the camera, because I use the viewfinder for all shots except with the remote app. This view is not available when the Smart remote control is running.

6. do you have full access to view and change the camera settings while the remote control is running.

  • PlayMemories Mobile/Smart Remote - no video recording! Why Sony Action Cam it allows?

Just bought a NEX-6. The Smart Remote application is the reason why I bought the camera in the hope that, with a future update to the app NEX-6 and 5R can not only turn the trigger but also switch VIDEO! Currently, even when the Smart remote control app is running, even if you manually press the video record on the camera button it gives a warning saying "video not available when running this application. Please leave app to record video.

For some reason sony has decided to leave the video feature switches the NEX-6 and 5R. After closer investigation I noticed that the other camera to use PlayMemories Mobile apps is the Sony Action Cam.

Cam Action also uses the PlayMemories application in the same way as the smart remote control application, but he is able to turn on/off the camera video. In addition to setting other parameters such as EV and interval shooting.

Now, I know that the Action is primarily a video camera and it obvioustly need to toggle the video but I don't see why Sony has ruled out this possibility for the NEX-6 and 5R because they all use the same wifi technology and the same APPS! Why do the same application run differently for different cams.

The only way to turn the video recording remotely at this point is to buy the Sony NEX Remote control version 2 that comes out.

The reason why I want to toggle the video from the camera app is so that anyone can use tablet or a cell phone as a monitor of affordable directors for when the game etc.

I subscribed to the youtube channel "Sony listens" and that's what the Sony Rep Said:

«FlyLifeFilms, the quick answer is that the action cam is designed to be mounted and legs, so it can be used for action packed high where using the buttons on the camera would not easily be used.» The Nex6 is not designed to be used as such. So, it was a marketing and a design decision to include this item on the camera action and not on the Nex6. I forwarded your comments to the appropriate Department with impatience. Thank you

    Scott Fuentes

    SonySupportUSA ".

Annother unhappy user NEX - 6a writes:

"Scott, who is a response fairly unconvincing, because Sony is best known for the fragmentation of functionality of product in order to increase the sales of several products with different characteristics."

The simple fact is the PlayMemories software already has the ability to start/stop video with the cam of the Action. This is why it is not a question of "update" the software to include functionality for NEX-5R/NEX-6 cameras, but rather simply activate it where Sony has strategically disabled for reasons of the profit motive. »

I hope sony their app updates, or at least let us know why they would allow the Action Sony cam to have this feature when top model NEX cameras turn it off knowing that they both use the same application!

    Dear Sony,

Please allow at least these features in the application:

    1 start/stop recording a video.

    2. change shooting mode, shutter speed, Aperture, ISO

Or better yet, like facets of the touch screen of the camera interface and let us control every parameter. I have to pay for this version.

Very annoying as it does on all manu lists and even ignores the channels while watching TV.

  • Smart application wireless remote control

This application will be updated to run on MAC OS x (Snow Leopard) computers?

At the time of writing, you can use the app smart remote with a smartphone under the operating system Android or iOS. We don't have any information at this time if this feature will be compatible with a computer running Mac OS X.

You always have the ability to transfer images from the camera to your computer wireless by using the function "send to computer". You can check this link for more information.

  • Remote control loses connection several times

Remote control repeatedly goes off line and then throughout the programs.  We loaded so that we can check the list of probable causes.  It has become a source of irritation when you're immersed in a movie and that appears on the screen.  Any fixes or suggestions?

I guess you are referring to the distance of Siri to Apple TV version 4. If so, I think it turns off the Bluetooth radio when he sleeps. When you wake up it upward, probably by moving it (remember, it has a movement sensor), it reconnects and ATV reported 'remote control connected. " If this message is your problem, you could make it clearer in your title and description. Since you are immersed in the movie, I assume that you do not use the remote control to control the system. If leave him you alone, he has to sleep with happiness. If you use it to adjust the volume, maybe you can use a different remote for it.

In addition, your profile (GIS) said Apple TV 2 iOS 9.2.1 which makes no sense. You should correct it, maybe for Apple TV 4, tvOS 9.2.1.

  • 4th gen Siri remote control has stopped working

I had my 4th Gen Apple TV since November 2015. Last week noted that the TV shows and movies are glitching but if I do a reboot on the apple TV everything works fine again and have to do it every day.

Today the Apple TV remote was working fine all day then when a finished film went to for use and there was flashing reaction flights when I pressed one of the buttons. At first, thinking it was maybe needing a charge on the charger. A few hours later I returned to use the remote and it still doesn't work do not at all. I went into the Apple TV menu using a remote old money I thought that I would check how much fresh had the remote and I went for the remote controls and devices > BlueTooth remote control is more is listed and the dial connection was but would not connect to the remote control?

I tried to reboot that fixed the glitching to see if maybe he would take the remote, but still nothing. Does anyone else have this problem?

  • Windows 8 on HP TouchSmart IQ826t (including REMOTE CONTROL) successfully installed

Here's the background.  I have a TouchSmart IQ826t running Windows 7.  I have installed on it, (same partition), Windows 8 RTM using a DVD.  The installation went without a hitch and Windows 8 is installed.  I've had two disappointments: 1) the possibilities of contact not only that it was very difficult to slide on the screen side and the only way to scroll from left to right was to use the scrollbar at the bottom of the screen.  (2) turner of the TV does not work, but I am hopeful that it will be the 26 Oct when Microsoft releases the Media Pack.

Thus, the question that I continued to work on was the touch feature.  I came across an update from HP that I missed for Windows 7 called "NextWindow 1950 Touch Screen Driver Update", which was to improve the answer touch near the edges of the screen and resolved a problem of sensibility in the upper right of the screen.  I downloaded it, (sp49787.exe) and tried to install it.  He would not have installed.  However, the part "NextWindow 1950" of the title was a clue.  I have been looking on the NextWindow site last week and I remember seeing a driver Windows 8 touch screen on their Web site: http://www.nextwindow.com/nextwindow_support/Windows_8_Touch_Screen_Driver.html

I took a chance and downloaded.  Before you try to install it, I created a new system in case restore point where and then installed.  The installation has maybe 4-5 minutes, but he reported that he managed.  Without having to reboot, I checked the tactile ability and WOW, it works now as my 7.5 Windows phone with lots of scrolling left and right as well as perfect sliding on the side of the screen!  Just to be safe, I restarted and everything works great!  Thus, it seems that the driver on the link above is the solution at least for my model.

I found how to get the HP Remote to work with my IQ826t! I was reading something and it reminded me that I had never gone through the list of Services on this computer. I found a service that has been extinguished called, 'Human Interface Device Access. I changed the properties of it from manual to automatic. Rebooted and WOW, the remote will now control the Volume, Mute and other functions, he was ignorant. NOTE: Before I tried this service I also found a service called "HP Software Framework. It was also well manually. I changed it to auto - delayed, but I don't think that this has nothing to do with the question. First try the service of Human Interface. I rebooted several times and the remote control of the TV still works. YES!

  • Remote control does not respond with Toshiba 24D3434DB

    I recently bought a smart TV 24D3434D.

I was incapable of analysis for all channels when I bought because I didn't have an aerial socket in the room in which I used it, but I was able to use the tv feature smart until suddenly the TV displays a screen telling me that no channel was available and no longer responds to the remote control.

I returned to the store and the tv started to react to the remote control again and they were able to search the channels it. When I House and rekindled it remote control not responding until I tried again the next day after I left it unplugged over night.

In the morning, I found that the remote was working again until I plugged the tv in an adapter and not directly in the sector where the TV no longer responds to the remote control again.

Anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix this?

    Thank you.

    > In the morning, I found that the remote was working again until I plugged the tv into an adapter and not directly in the sector where the TV no longer responds to the remote control again.

What adapter do you mean exactly?

The remote control works correctly if the TV is connected directly to the power grid?

To be honest, it's the first time I encounter this problem.
Perhaps some sort of light affect the functionality of the remote control, it is maybe s really a TV or remote hardware problem.

I guess to see what s twist exactly you should test with a different remote or another TV and same remote control.

  • Remote control on F25 no longer works

I got my F - 25 1.5 years. We use it every day to watch and record TV in Media Center. Suddenly, the remote doesn't work. I replaced the batteries, disconnected & reconnected, and nothing changes. The red light on the remote control AND the receiver, both light up, but nothing happens.

Please help me. I am at a total loss.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

I think that you need to uninstall the infrared receiver of the first device manager, and then restart the computer or scan for hardware changes. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. in Control Panel, double-click System, and then click the Hardware tab.

    2. click on device, click the infrared receiver Manager. The device is usually listed as Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver, but the name can vary depending on your configuration.

    3. in the Action menu, click on uninstall, and then click OK to uninstall the infrared receiver.

    4. in the Action menu, click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the IR receiver.

also try to remove the battery from the remote control for 2 minutes and put it back again

    Good luck

  • KEYNOTE Remote Control?

What are the options for the remote control of a presentation Keynote (6.6.1) on a MacBookPro OS X 10.11.2, using an iPadMini 9.2.1 iOS?

WiFi is not an option in this setting.   I had hoped to use BlueTooth between the iPadMini and the MacBookPro, but read an article (older), saying that it was not possible.

    Suggestions appreciated.

    To configure the Bluetooth:

    the iPad settings

    Settings > turn on Bluetooth

Keynote > Keynote Remote > devices: Select correct Mac list

    Settings > turn off WiFi

    Mac

    System Preferences > Bluetooth enabled

Keynote preferences > remote controls: activate

Keep a distance between iPad and Mac as short as possible (3 feet instead of 30 feet)

  • Want to buy the remote control full size for Qosmio X 500-116

    Hiya,

I am looking to buy a full-size remote for my Qosmio (little disappointed he did not come with one).

First question is my machine not come with a remote control means that my machine will not work with a remote control? (the manual says that some machines come with them and others do not)

I have looked on the toshiba site and did some research online, but nothing yet.

If someone can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful

    THX

    Bren

PS - It's the full-size remote, I am after not the slim size it (both are listed in the manual)

    Hello Bren

In my opinion the situation is clearer:

Some models are delivered with and without remote control. For remote control, you need equipment that send the signal (remote control you have in hand) and the device receiving the signal.
Receiving so-called is built-in the laptop.
If your laptop comes without remote control, I presume that he doesn t also have receiver inside.

Following this logic, I don't think that your laptop works with remote but I do not understand what kind of remote you are writing about.

I can only imagine that third part product with external remoter that can be connected to your Qosmio as USB device, you can buy. I'm sure that Logitech has these products in order to check a little Logitech page to see what they have to offer for multimedia application.

    Good luck.
