I then tried to drive 'Erase' and got the error message "disc remove POSIX reports: operation could not be completed." Input/output error. Operation failed. "So I clicked once more"Force eject", disconnected and reconnected USB, hard drive selected in the sidebar"Finder"ran"Set_Up.dmg"that was on the hard drive. Who seemed to rise to recording on the Seagates Web site. Player again activated in selected Time Machine preferences 'Back Up Now' of Time Machine in the Menu bar has obtained progress bar "Preparation to Back up...". "in Time Machine preferences for half an hour...   In September 2015, I bought a 6 TB WD MyBook to use with Time Machine. Initially, I have me back an Early 2011 MacBook Pro 13 "and now it's an iMac late 2015 5 K. On both machines, the drive is connected directly to the USB port (without hubs was between the disc and the Mac). After about a week or two, I received a message "unable to full backup. An error occurred while creating the backup folder".» I clicked on OK, rebooted the MacBook and she continued to save. This message pops up every week or two weeks, and I ignored him. When I got to the iMac, the message still popped up after a few weeks, and he even got to the point where it would show every day when I woke up to the iMac to sleep after a day at the College.   When I was home from Uni, I was support my MacBook Pro 2015 retina on a FireWire drive, which I had used before purchasing the WD 6 to, using Apple's FireWire adapter Thunderbolt. It worked without any problem. In addition, back up my MacBook Pro via FireWire 2011 worked well for 4 years. Given that the MacBook Pro saved without fault when the drive is connected via FireWire, and problems have emerged only when I started to use a USB drive, I start to think that it is a problem of USB. I turned it off put hard drives to sleep when possibleand have active Power Nap and still get the error.

  In a project of University I regularly saved the folder on a USB key. However, I'm not sure of the date I took the last backup. When looking at the Properties folder it says 'Date modified', but it is the date of the original folder has changed, not the date, that the file has been added on the USB. Is there anyway that I can get the date that I put the file on the USB key.

  You can access the properties of the backup folder and see the 'creation Date'.

  Date created shows the date where the data are saved in the USB.

  I can't figure out how to change the backup folder.  Is no longer an option in settings, and although I can change the name of the save file back box, it won't let me change the path.  Custom changes to what is recorded gives the same error.

  I can sync very well, but I just can't back up.

  To change the location of the backup file, you should first be connected to the Link.  Then select 'Préférences' at the top right.  In the "Général" tab, you should see the option to change the folder backup at the bottom of the list. Click the file folder icon and you will be prompted to navigate to where you want to backup to be saved.

  On my old computer (XP), I used app fast backup protection to back up my files to an external drive, Iomega hosted Media Network Hard (2 TB).  I have a new Dell PC with Windows 7 (64 bit) OS.  With the help of a cable I copied all the files from my XP to Windows 7 computer.  All the files on the external hard drive, copied to a "network".  I am able to view all the folders of the Iomega file, but I can't back up my files to protect fast has not been improved to work w/Win 7.  Quick protect is divided into 6 different discs (photo-U, V-ActiveFolders, W-Music, X-backups, Public-Y, Z-movies), Iomega recommends using backup Windows and restore.  "Before you start this process, I would like to know if Windows Backup and Restore will copy a new set of files and adding to what is there in the folder backup previous Player X or if it will start a"new"backup" folder on drive X.

  Although I suppose you could create separate jobs for each of the existing partitions, if you wish.  But I would like to backup these partitions to something else before you start. Heh

  I use a program called second copy to back up the "My Documents" folder on a portable usb WD drive. The backup folder contains 129 objects. However, when I tried to locate a file in this folder using my Win7 laptop and the same USB, Explorer listed only 29 of these files. I took the training to the XP machine, and everything was normal.

  Second copy tech said that they have never heard of this and also that their program uses all exclusive compression in creating backups. If this isn't a problem of Second Coy, then I think the differences in operating systems. It worries me because the primary drive on the XP machine is old enough, then it would be fine if I could restore the files, if necessary, for Win7 machine too.

  For what it's worth:

  • The backup of file 'My Documents' is located in a hard drive other than c. partiion.
  • As far as I know, all were leaving them on this disc are NTFS, but I can't swear to that before a Court of law.
  • I'm new to Win7

  Can someone me unbaffle on this? It will keep me awake at night.

  The main issue, you hit the nail on the head. Before that I sent the question I thought to the hidden file attribute, but told myself, 'no. "There is no reason that the bit be set for these files and not others ', not to mention that I thought I had already checked the show hidden files box a long time ago. So I have not yet looked. It turns out that some of them is hidden, and some are not.
  But this brings another question which is: why these files are hidden? They just run files mill containing mp3, jpg etc.. Is there a flaw somewhere in Windows that hide files?

  JUNE_02 - CUMULATIVE LEVEL 1

  JUNE_05 - CUMULATIVE LEVEL 1

  Here is my need,

  (1) can I delete specific folders (middle of the order's backup) which are below.

  03 JUNE - CUMULATIVE LEVEL 1

  04 JUNE - CUMULATIVE LEVEL 1

  So how to remove it.

  I tried with the following query that is not delteted, please find this query, is there any correction, or if you have the correct question to delete specific folder then pls share.

  (2) if I removed above at the mentioned date backup folder as below,

  03 JUNE - CUMULATIVE LEVEL 1 - deleted

  Cumulative level 1 backups contain all changes since last level 0 backup. So if you do not need to restore from a specific date within your backup cumulative level 1, you can remove it. In your case, you can remove the 03 and 04 of June and can restore the database from June 01, 02 and 05 June as offers, depending on the availability of the last backups.

  If you can restore your database at any other time, beside your incremental backups, also depends on restoring archived newspapers available. In this case, restore you the database from a full or level 0 backup and recover the database using newspapers to check-in to the current or previous point in time.

  To remove specific backupsets, you can use the command "List backup RMAN summary" and use then 'delete backupset ' to delete the backup.
