• WMP on vista SP2 did not play on the web

  My WMPr in vista SP2 does not work on the web player. Since I reinstalled vista, it worked fine but I started to update to SP2, the WMP doesn't work anymore.   1. don't you get an error when you try to play content online on Media Player?
  2. the problem occurs with a specific Web site or all Web sites?
  3. are you using Internet Explorer?

  Follow these methods and check if it solves the problem:

  Method 1: Scan run System File Checker (SFC).

  Scan SFC will Windows replace corrupted or missing system files on your computer.

• Post install Vista SP2 issues

  I installed the x 64 SP2 of Vista on my computer. So far, I've noticed two problems:
  1. no is longer automatically updates Windows Defender . I have to do a manual update, which means that I have to "remember" to do. Really want to have the automatic update to work again.
  2. I've noticed that when I use the application Help & Support, the graphics do not appear. I just get a glimpse of the box with the red X (as you get on a site web - a placeholder for graphics).

  After reading many groups of Vista online, I finally found a page that responds to the problem of no graphics in the help and Support application.   Hi, I just bought this computer Sunday. I was put in place to prepare for add my music. I deleted the sample music, only to find out that "If you remove your sample music you won't be able to rip CDs. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? My main purpose for the purchase of this computer is to store my music. Thanks in advance.

  Extraction of Windows help you put above mentions the example files.  You can see the music library by going to WMP, organize, manage libraries, music - this shows you the places [records] followed by the music files on your PC.  If you remove all of these files that you deleted from your library.  In other words, the library is the content of the file collection music of watched folders.  The library must exist for CD ripping to happen.  This is what means the entry using Windows.  In addition, you must always leave at least one folder in the watched folders list even if you are not using anything because it may be difficult for Windows back nothing.

  Hi all...

  I installed a genuine version of Vista Home Premium on my G20 and have several problems that I'm trying to fix. Check of Vista Compatablitity' highlighted only the bluetooth stack and the video drivers as a problem then I moved and made installation... I managed to find the Toshiba vista compatible Bluetooth Stack on Asia oshiba website (so it's all sorted out now. The main problem I have now is I can't watch video clips or listening to audio clips! When audio or video is played, he only plays in slow motion! Nayone have ideas? have you tried in Media center, windows media player, nero showtime, divx player and VLC player... pklays video and audio slow in any of the foregoing.

  Any help appreciated.

  I installed Vista on Qosmio G30 and it works well (sound, image). I put t know why you have this problem, but maybe you should wait for the official launch of Vista. After Toshiba official lunch will offer probably all the necessary drivers for all mobile phones capable of Vista.

  It s a bit tricky, but I think that if you reinstall, and then put the drivers on it, it should work. Don't forget: Vista Ultimate needs a lot of resources and a bunch of useless stuff that can cause the machine does not properly.

  I have had installation problems with most of the games from Gamehouse and have been emailing them back.  I finally got on the phone with them and they told me that they do not support vista 64 and I need a fix of vista for 64-bit compatibility.  So I put "fix vista for 64-bit compatibility" in a google search and the first on the list is the microsoft Download Center and is an update to Windows Vista for systems-KB938194 x 64-based.
  I checked the system requirements and it does not support my operating system-Windows Vista Home premium 64-bit.  I tried to install it and pops up this message-"the update does not apply to your system."  I checked all my updates and KB938194 isn't on the list, so it's not like it has already been installed.  Help, please.  Thank you.

  Thank you for posting.

  They are assuming that when you download the game it will on your desktop as it does in XP.  Vista has its own download folder to the downloads go.  You will need to run the installer in compatibility mode when you install the game.  You can get to your download folder by clicking the ORB/start, and then click your user name.  Once there, you will see the Downloads folder that will hold all your downloads (unless you change the location where files download on)

  Remember that it is a fix temporary until Gamehouse free updates or patches to their games. Zack

• Microsoft Freelancer on Windows Vista - VSync issue

  I ran into a problem, try to run Freelancer (v1.0) on my new Windows Vista system.
  I'm certainly not able to disable VSync, my FPS are locked at 60. There is no option ingame and I already have "Always off" VSync in my Catalyst Control Center, which worked fine on my old XP system. (I got about 170 FPS with a Dual-Core AMD at 2x2.3 GHz)
  With Vsync, however, the game meets mouselag, which hardens to play.

  This is my system:
  -Windows Vista Edition Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 2
  -Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (4x2.4GHz)
  -Radeon HD 4850 (with catalyst v9.6)
  -3 GB Ram

  This seems to be a general problem with the games running on DirectX8 or below in Vista.

  In the meantime, I suggest to create a System Restore Point and then uninstall the graphics drivers and re-install.
