WMV file blocking my first pro

I know that all the limitations of the wmv files in terms of editing and quality.

However, I need this one little clip that is be a WMV. file. (only 15 MB)

When I import it, it blocks my first pro.

all ideas

The reading is very different, as the edition. When reading, the reader has to decode the file, whereas with the edition, the NLE to first decode the file, and then create just an internal "proxey' to view, while it takes 'notes' on what you want to do with the data in the original file, export.

The Adobe programs are very picky when it comes to assets that interfere. Header information of files must be written correctly, and all aspects of the file must be created with the specifications. This format.

It is not uncommon to have PS gag on a JPEG to another program, but see other less strict programs, very well open it. With the AV files, it is also common to have VLC play it fine, where WMP and others just can't do. I use VLC or MediaPlayer Classic for most, and the two have VERY lenient, but they saw several files that plays very well in one, but the other crash.

Good luck

    Hi Sheila,

    Try this:

Before you import your files, go to file > project settings > General and change the rendering engine video software of Mercury playback engine only. Click OK, and then select Remove previews. Then import your files.

I would like to know if it works.

  • Canon XC10 MXF file import failure first Pro CS6

Does anyone know why can't import video MXF files from the Canon XC10 to first Pro CS6?  I searched for a process / workflow that does not include having to use an mxf converter.  I looked at a number of different suggestions on the web.  I read the following article http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/products/premiere/cs6/pdfs/adobe-premiere-pro-cs 6-canon-workflow - guide.pdf which indicates it should not be a problem with the import mxf to the first pro cs6.  I also used the Canon XF Utility - once again unfortunately, I still got the message "the importer reported a generic error.  Other Adobe applications, faced with this format include Prelude and Media Encoder.

I'm on Windows 10.  I hope that someone in the community will have technical knowledge to help.  Or maybe even staff Adobe might be able to offer suggestions.  Thank you.

If you download the Canon XF Utility software,

You load the map and export in MXF format (that's all) on the hard disk.

    Import in first. That's all.

  • Problem with importing audio files .mts in first pro cc 2015 project

When I play the video in preview the audio plays but does not appear when his sliding in the schedule of the project. I had not updated for first pro 2015 and tried and still no audio is displayed. I tried to remove the tray that the audio appears in and re import the images via the media browser and still no sound. I'm trying to start the final cut (after recording some new images in Cuba!) for a documentary that I worked on last year, so I would be very happy if someone could help me on this, its quite frustrating. Furthermore, I have imported .mts, pictures back in August for the same project and had no such problems. I use a 2012 end imac 3.2 ghz, 16 GB 1600 mhz

  • How can I make my AVCHD mov. files of work first pro?

I used the Panasonic HDC-SD60 for a short film for the work.  This has on about 40 clamps with about 3 hours of footage however when I import files .mov from the audio media browser seems fine but the film is in a kind of slow-mo and out of sync. I want to change and make the post production using Adobe pro and AfterEffects first. However, the film seems to work in final cut X. There is no lag with playback on quicktime either. What is this project? I read on variable frame rates, it is seems more common among iPhones and tablets? Is this something that the panasonic do as well? Is there a solution? Or should I jump ship and settle for a somewhat more limited features of Final Cut?

Copy the card hard disk. Do not use iphoto or lightroom, but ingest directly in first via the media browser.

    See how it will work.

  • 5.5 k HD RED Dragon file problem in first Pro CC

    Hello world!

I currently edit a project in first cc pro who turned on the new camera of RED Dragon.

First is incredibly impressive in the treatment of all the huge files and view them in the timeline panel.

However, I have found that some of our materials that are slaughtered in a resolution of 5.5 k HD (5376 x 3024 px) are not displayed in first at all.

I can import the files, I can watch their preferences as the balance of whites, duration and rate display etc.. BUT the first guard, showing me that the yellow banner 'Media pending' if its in the source monitor or timeline.

All other formats like 6 k, 5 k, k from 4.5 to display different rate work very well.

I don't know if it is because of this resolution, but that's the only difference to the other files that work very well and were recorded on the same disks a few minutes before that material 5.5 k.

After effects and RedCine X Pro work fine as well.

There may be a bug and I already reported it to Adobe. But maybe someone has already solved the problem and find a good job autour or something.

I downloaded a file k R3D 5.5 on WeTransfer, if you want to check: http://we.tl/AyokYi4dJw

I have a draft edition blocking, source and target calendar is implemented according to the needs.  I made the multicamera editing and saving the file.  When I open the file saved, single track in the source file displayed in the target sequence.  All the source sequence Flickr photos are visible, the file exactly as it was when the multicamera editing has been completed.  It looks like a bug to me.

  • Nikon D4 video Files 'Stuttering' in first Pro CS5

I use a Nikon D4 filming for about a month.  I have change a 15 in MacBook Pro Dual Quad 2.2MGh with 8 GB of RAM.  I turned on a Nikon D3s and video files are 720 x 1280 at 24 p avi.  The D4 is set at 720 x 1280 30 p .mov and are H.264.  When I'm editing D4 files, I get a lot of stuttering and will not play in real time.  Anyone encountered this?  Do I need to encode my D4 for Apple Pro Res files for editing? If so, suggestions on a coder?

There is a work around on windows that can solve the problem.  Try to rename to .mpg .mov clips.

I don't know for certain who work on a Mac, because I understand that Macs are not based on the extensions of files like Windows is.

  • the first Adobe elements corrupts the WMV files

    Running Windows 7.

When you import WMV files into Adobe first Elements 4.0, half top of the image is black.

Adobe is reported as a problem with Windows XP and suggests to remove some updates.

But whence this permission Windows 7 users?  Adobe is silent on this issue.

Adobe has a KB on this issue on Windows 7 and Windows XP.

After you apply the improvement kb2834904 kb2803821 Windows 7 or XP, WMV files imported into Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Premiere Elements, or After Effects look damaged on the screen. For example, they appear as a video half frame on import.
Similarly, videos exported out of these products as WMV files appear corrupt.
    That covers it.

  • First Pro CC and the lack of audio tracks for .mts files

    Hello guys,.

I used to edit my files .mts with first Pro CC with no problems until yesterday.

Now I import my file .mts (made with a Sony VG900), but the first does not recognize the audio tracks (which I hear fine with VLC).

I tried changing the extension in .m2ts, but he did not, I also tried to reinstall the first but, even once, it didn't work and I tried (I was desperate) to install the CS6 first just to check if the problem is maybe about the CC version. Guess what? It did not work...

I tried also to convert the file with the encoder in .mp4, but after the conversion, I can't hear the sound with VLC and, of course, this does not work on the first.

Don't you think it's a first question or a problem of file?

I used these same files for other videos (as a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1X5vsZ-5yI) and I had no problem. Then I updated the first, I moved the files in the other folder, and the problem came to life.

    Any idea?

(I'm waiting for my colleague to send me a new mts file just to check if I accidentally damaged the 'old').

    Hello users,.

I've upgraded to the latest version of first Pro CC. recently, I noticed that playing MTS files blocking my first session. A window appears that informed me that the application has encountered an error and needs to close.

Import MTS files brings no question. First only acts upward when I try to read them.

The MTS files worked in past iterations of first (5.5, 6) so I wonder when this problem appeared.
