WNDR4300 5 GHz

How can I activate my 5 GHz for my 4300 router wndr Strip?

Try using the channel 149. The top channels are allowed to broadcast at a higher power.

Check the driver for the configuration settings and check that the 5 GHz band is selected.

Run a program surveyor of Wi - Fi, such as inSSIDer, vistumbler or acrylic Wi - Fi. It will let know you which networks it can see.

Make sure the antennas on the router and card configuration are installed properly.

    Upgrade to El Capitan

You can pass the Lion El Capitan or directly from Snow Leopard. El Capitan can be downloaded for FREE from the Mac App Store.

To upgrade to El Capitan, you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or installed Lion. Download El Capitan from the App Store. Sign in with your Apple ID. El Capitan is free. The file is big enough, more than 5 GB, allow it some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

    Upgrade to Lion

If your computer does not meet requirements to install the above, it can still meet the specifications to install Lion.

You can buy Lion to the Apple store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus taxes.  It's a download. You will receive an email with a redemption code that you then use on the Mac App Store for download Lion. Save a copy of this installer to your download folder because Setup deletes itself at the end of the installation.

Attached to my TV Sony is a transmitter Brightech DoublePlay HD Bluetooth 4.0, running on the band 2.4 GHz effects seriously communications on my WiFi network (demonstrated unequivocally by the device to the USB port on the TV).

    Appreciate your help, any...

WiFi performance was dreadful while listening to the sound of movie via Bluetooth head sets, take several hours to be ready to play a movie in iTunes or play will stall and plans several hours to be ready to resume.  If I can lock the time Capsule 802.11n (4th generation) in my living room on the network of WiFi 5 GHz, I think I'll have the trouble of sorting.

Sorry, but no. When you extend an Apple base station, two radio stations are extended.

  • iPad 9.3.5 / / 5 GHz network is displayed but tells me bad password

Very well, I can connect with my Mac Mini and my MBA but my iPad 2 retina gives me the proverbial finger when I try to connect to this frequency. This unit can connect correctly to a network of 5 GHz and did fine on 9.3.4. Since the update, I said that my password is incorrect (which is crap, I might add). Someone knows how to fix this?

Hello. Try resetting network settings, settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Then plug again. Also try to restart, sleep until the Slide to Power Off appears, power off, then hold down again Sleed, until the Apple appears.

  • iPhone 5 only connects very well with 5 Ghz Wifi

    Hi all

After trying Beta iOS10 I 'come back' iOS9 and I discovered that my iPhone 5 will not connect very well to 2 .4GHz wireless networks. The problem is that the iPhone or do access or has a very poor connectivity, so that I can use this wifi perfectly with my iPad or Macbook.

However this iPhone connects perfectly to Wifi 5 GHz networks and works as it should.

I tried to reset, restore the default values, reinstall iOS... any suggestions?

    Hello iovin80,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I know having a problem connecting to the Wi - Fi on your iPhone, it's not what you expect. If I understand correctly, you cannot connect to the network 2.4 GHz Wi - Fi, but the 5 GHz channel works very well. I suggest to test it on another Wi - Fi network to see if the problem is resolved. You should also check the recommended settings to avoid any interference in the present statutes:

Potential sources of Wi - Fi and Bluetooth interference
Recommended settings for the WiFi routers and access points

    See you soon!

  • Install Snow Leopard on iMac 2.8 GHz Quad Core i5

I just bought a refurbished 21.5 in iMac 2.8 GHz Quad Core Intel Core i5 on the Apple Store to replace an aging 21.5 in iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3. The new iMac has 10 El Capitan 10.11.6 OS and the old iMac OS Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

I have old versions of Quark Xpress, Photoshop, Illustrator and Filemaker Pro on the old iMac running SL and I want to continue to use these. I am now retired and can no longer pay to upgrade.

I partitioned the HD on the new iMac and had hope install SL and migrate all my old files from the old computer. I tried to recover from a Time Machine backup since the iMac old and installation of the system from a bootable USB stick SL. None of them has allowed me to move forward.

Has anyone else tried this and succeeded? Will I have to completely erase the HD in the new computer, partition the drive, install SL on a partition and, on the other?

I've seen similar issues but no response to my problem. Real help would be appreciated.

Your mac is not designed to work in 10.6 and the operating system will prevent installation of 10.6 using the API. While this is possible through virtualization, but you will be using a 3rd party solution to do something your mac was not intended to do and any instability could be traced back to this.

Use the version of Mac OS X included with your Mac, or a more recent compatible version - Apple Support

  • Unable to connect 2.4 Ghz on home network

Get a message that I can't connect to my network of 2.4 GHz, but I am able to connect to the network of 5 Ghz I have Verizon FiOS and I use their Quantum gateway router. Verizon configures the router to separate systems 2.4 and 5 GHz with different names. In recent days, I noticed that I can't connect to the network 2.4 GHz. I rebooted the router a few times. I applied the 10.11.6 updated so I think that this could be linked to the who. Why go to the slower network? My printers are connected to the 2.4 GHz network and for some reason, when I go to the 5 GHz network printers go offline (this not is is when Verizon pushed update firmware to separate networks). So to print I need to switch networks. Also noticed that access to some hardware Plug devices only when I'm on the same network as them. Lots of questions here but hoping someone can help get at least my mac to back on the network of 2,4 GHz. thanks in advance.

    Tom

FWIW, I also have FiOS and I have been on 5 GHz since its release. I just tried 2.5 GHz and now I can't connect to it either. Might be time for a call to Verizon.

  • Change the hard disk of 1.4 Ghz Mac Mini end of 2014

Good morning Apple community, so here's the problem: I had a voltage breakdown because via the USB port of an EPSON LX - 300 printer, at present when the USB and the Mac Mini contact, ventilation Mac shutoff valve and after a few tries to do turn it finally do. But I see that a gray folder appears with an exclamation mark, then, with my other mac I download OS X El Capitan and do a Booteable USB, after that I enter the utilities disk and found that the "Macintosh HD" was not there and 2 USB 3.0 also didn't work. I picked up at a technical Service allow in my city and have told me that the HARD drive is broken and must be replaced, they say it could be replace by an of a 7200 rpm or 5400 RPM HARD drive RPM HARD drive, also says that couldn't put an SSD. I start research and found it is possible to put an SSD without problem. So my question is that's for sure, so I trust that an SSD will work with flawessly, and that I will also get a big performance improvement.

    My Mac is:

Mac Mini end of 2014 1.4 Ghz 4 GB of RAM, Intel HD 5000 and a 500 GB drive HARD 5400 RPM death.

So, my best regards to the community and hope for a response.

I've been running my 2014 MM off an external SSD with USB 3.0 since the beginning of this year, after a bunch of trial and error; That's what I have:

Unfortunately, I don't have much advice to give you else make sure you have a proper forum for IT. From my experience, the bad speaker will make the difference in whether or not the Mac recognizes the SSD on initialize toward the top.

    Good luck!

  • Mac stop overnite on reboot it takes up to 3 minutes, this is a 2014 5 K 27 "4 GHz I7 with an El Capitan

Mac stop overnite on reboot it takes up to 3 minutes with a black screen, it is a 2014 5 K 27 "4 GHZ intel i7 El Capitan

Why did you stop the iMac?  Or stops?

If she will stop, you can try the search in Applications-> utilities-> Console to see if there is a message on what caused the closure.

If she is stopped, you can also see if there is a scheduled stop in the system-> power-> calendar save preferences.

Regarding the slow reboot, ensure that system-> startup disk preferences and check your boot drive is highlighted.  If the padlock in the lower left corner is locked, then click it to open it before you can see if your boot drive is highlighted.  If your boot drive is NOT highlighted, then click on your startup disk, and then close the startup disk system preference.

If this isn't the issue, then you can check if you have kernel 3rd party extensions, demons of 3rd party launch and/or 3rd party launch officers that slow down your boot.

If you want you can post out of EtreCheck, and someone will look at it (you can watch as well and see if you have a lot of 3rd party installed which could interfere with your startup time).

  • 5 alley, 2.4 ghz still work?

I have a Time Capsule 2 GB race at the beginning of 2009 7.6.7. He was a soldier for many years and saved my bacon at least once. Now he won't pass on 2.4 ghz more. He thinks he does, I can select a channel or let him; It reports no errors. But no devices can see this base station.

I can connect to the network 5 GHz without problem. Everything works as it should. but I also have devices 2.4 alone in the House that are now less internet. Before I reset the unit and risk losing my backups, or replace it altogether, is there something else to try?

Very rare 5 GHz to work at 2.4 GHz is not, but it can happen if the 2.4 GHz radio left.

On everything you can do at this point is try resetting the Capsule of time to return to the default settings and then set up again to see if that would help.

Reset time Capsule will not affect your backups. Only network settings are reset when you perform a default reset.

The real issue here is perhaps an average useful life of a time Capsule is about 3 years, so if the product works well since 2009, you did much better than the rest of us.
