worth it?

someone recommend muse to create very large Web sites, about 200 pages that wll be II frequently?  See a lot of problems with the program does not

I have 150 pages on the Web site of my Puk code and handles of Muse coming... how many master pages, have got you?

(because they help to speed up the rendering a LOT), you can have 200 pages that look alike almost or 200 different pages that take forever... and looks like a trash can that was expelled during the.

  • It is worth buying an IBook G4?

So I just need a laptop for the classification of documents and browsing the internet whenever I'm out, but not to download programs, I'm wondering if a G4 IBook could meet my needs.

The iBook is a good machine, but in today's modern web, it is slow. Even with TenFourFox is can be slow. However if you're patient it can be done. PowerPC machines like the iBook G4 cannot run all modern browsers if most of the sites don't load properly. This was TenFourFox comes in. It is a fork of Mozilla Firefox and is always supported on the G4 and G3 even.

Processor is fine on these machines. iWork 09 works pretty well and Microsoft Word 2004 works but is a bit slow on the PowerPC Mac for a reason any. Open Office is free and is quick (just look for an older version). Processor is easy on the material and does not require a high-end computer.

Another thing to keep in mind is battery-operated. More original batteries do not hold a charge, so buying a replacement is probably necessary. Third-party batteries are cheap but are not always the best quality.

It really depends on what you do on the web. PowerPC Macs are dead in the water when it comes to YouTube or video service. But with TenFourFox, General web searches should be good. In FFT, you can optimize the browzer do if it is faster. A simple Google search should give answers.

I've owned several Macs PowerPC and all serve me well. But the question is it worth buying? I would say that try IT... These machines are cheap and they move things forward. Web browsing is slow, but written document is fine. Even if you don't like the performance of these machines can run tons of great software but also run Mac OS 9.

Intel based Macbooks 2006-2008 models fell in price also. It's an option as well. These Macs run faster and manage modern browsers.

Remember that if you buy and iBook, you need to do some research on this kind of software, it can work. Apple stopped supporting these PPC machines in 2007. Any software that is "Universal" on the box will run on Intel and PPC as iWork 09.

If you have extra money go for the Intel MacBook, but the iBook will make what you need just more slow. Good luck

  • Is the 15 "Macbook Pro is really worth?

    Hello everyone. New MacBook here.

In my previous thread, I mentioned that I opted to get the Macbook Air 13 "as my first MB, as well as the Protection Plan AppleCare 3 years.

This new discussion I start has nothing to do with the MBA. If I write this thread just for my own edification.

Yesterday, I went to my local Apple store tried both the MBA 13 "and 13" MBP (retina).

When I was experimenting with the MBP 13 ", among the technicians of the store Apple has encouraged me to try the MBP 15". Briefly, I've played a bit with the MBP 15 "and was turned off by it. The screen was just too wide for my taste.

However, the Apple techie got informed that edges MBP 15 "on the 13" MBP in terms of performance, thanks to its higher resolution and a quad-core i7 processor. Supposedly, the MBP 15 "has more power and is able to handle big tasks.

Well, from my point of view, the MBP 15 "seems to be just a MBP with larger screen.

I want to say-not a 13 "MBP (retina) with a processor dual-core i7 and 16 GB of RAM contains enough power to effectively perform multiple demanding tasks?

At the end of the day - is the 15 "MBP really worth?

I can't wait to hear what you think. Thanks to you all.

    Ken

According to what "many demanding tasks" mean for you. The top model 15 "has a discrete GPU with 2 GB of video memory dedicated all to himself. No other model cannot touch heavy retail high-speed graphics performance. But that comes with a price.

  • NB550D - is RAM and OS update worth it?

    HI -.

I have got a NB550D and generally happy, but would like to improve performance. Plans is just an upgrade to 2 GB of RAM & leaving with Windows 7 edition starter or go to 4 GB of RAM & upgrading to Windows 7 Home Edition, but later would cost at least £70 more wondering if it's worth the trouble.

I'm not bothered by the limits as office & have managed to overcome the problems of reading DVD of Windows 7starter but want the base system to run faster. Has anyone done one upgrade & there was a significant improvement?

Separately if I upgrade the operating system do I need to reinstall the programs etc?

    Thank you

    Hey,.

Are you not satisfied with the performance of the new NB550D or why you want to upgrade? I mean these netbooks are designed for mobile use and therefore it excellent camera s. very portable, small and light.

2 GB of RAM is usually enough to Windows 7 If you n t run 3D games or programs to CPU usage high such as video editing or something else.
Also I m not 100% sure, but probably the chipset limitation is 2 GB of RAM. Have you checked the user manual on the upgrade of RAM?

Anyway, it of important that RAM upgrade.

HP - upgrade to Windows 10 desktop PC

    It is said:
"If you bought your computer before August 2013, HP has not tested or developed the drivers for your computer model.» Some features may not work, or the installation may not succeed. »

It is interesting to try to upgrade to Windows 10?

Or it is futile and not worth trying?

    Hello:

The biggest problem you may encounter is that the audio probably does not work once you upgrade to W10.

Other than that, looking at the specifications for your PC it seems that all the other materials should work properly.

If you decide to roll the dice, and after installing W10, there is no audio data, you can try this driver below that worked for others with the same IDT audio chip.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

    File name: sp71717.exe

Here is a forum member that have fundamentally improved PC the same model as yours to W10.  Other than the sound works, he apparently had no other problems.

  • N550D - 10G is it worth to upgrade RAM and OS?

I am about to buy a N550D - 10G but am not sure whether or not it is worth upgrading the OS Win7 HP and memory at 4 GB or stick with Win7 Starter and upgrade to 2 GB.

All the advice from someone who did or would be appreciated.

Well, more RAM means your laptop would go faster even if you want to use several applications at the same time, so 4 GB RAM is a good idea, I recommend upgrading the memory to 4 GB of RAM.

Upgrade to a higher version of Windows 7 is not really necessary if you n t really need the feutures provided with a higher version of operating system.

Here, you can compare the different versions of Win 7:

  • Fusion drive vs 7200 RPM HARD drive, it is worth the difference in price?

I have the beginning 2009 24 "clocked at 2.66 GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo w/4 GB memory.  I have 86 GB of capacity, 83 GB available on my hard drive but I get these days, turn the beach balls, delayed typing, and 5-6 min restarts (if it does not crash).

(1): I started in recovery mode, run Disk Utility first aid on the three volumes that I configured and also to perform first aid on my external HD backup and time Machine external HD to ensure that those to external systems were functioning properly.  They are.

    (2) I ran Disk Warrior on all volumes and Cocktail on bootable disks.

So... is probably time to let decision-making in early 2009 iMac.  Looking at the new, I wonder if the 27 "1 TB drive merger is worth the difference in price of the 1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive?  I only do the usual things: mail, loading some photos (about 12 000 photos in iPhoto), web searches, etc.  No big, heavy use.

It the additional sum of $200. Fusion drive worth it?

    For this purpose? N °

  • Tecra A5 is worth buying?

    Hello

Tecra A5 is worth buying? Can someone guide me to its advantages and disadvantages? Please, I beg you!

    Hello Taha

AFAIK, Tecra A5 is the most recent model and I don t believe that many users are familiar with this model. I use for laptop Tecra only for three years and so far I am very satisfied. The fact is that laptop Tecra is Plastica (the unit is pre-installed with WXP Pro) with docking possibility. In my opinion, it is very convenient if you take the unit with you. On this path it is not necessary to disconnect each cable, just disconnect.

Personally, I like the design but you know what you like and what your personal needs are.

If you want to buy one check specifications carefully because some models are delivered without BT and with different HARD drive capacities.

    Good luck!

  • Is worth upgrading to Macbook Pro?

So I just bought a Macbook air 13 "and I was wondering if upgrading the Retina Macbook pro screen be worth? I like the Air, but the lower the screen resolution is a disadvantage compared to the Retina display. I have to throw down on another $ 400 to upgrade so is it useful? I have a week to return my Air.

Of course, you think it is, then, what is the problem? You want to decide us for you? We won't. You must make your own decisions. Try looking at the models in the store.

  • Is it worth to replace a macbook pro with an old mac pro?

    I have a 13 "macbook pro mid 2012, core i5 2.5 ghz and 4 GB of RAM

I plan to replace an old mac pro with intel xeon 3 GHz dual core or quad (maybe from 2009 or 2010) and slowly upgrade by adding more RAM, sound card, and video, etc. (I won't change the logic board)

Computer will be used for the games, but especially for a music with logic studio Pro X (requires OS X El Capitan)

    It's worth?

OK, now you have 2013MBP 13 inches, and you said topic you will use the computer to do some professional work as a music studio (btw, I somehow like music studio, but I could can't work on that to this life) and games.

and now your account to replace it with a Mac Pro, which is a desktop computer, I have to say that they are in any other product, and you are already thinking on this subject, which means that you don't have to wear it around right? So, personally, I recommend the CHANGE! There?

as you say you only have two choices, keep the macbook pro 13 "or replace with the older generation of the Mac Pro, I would say 13-inch MacBook Pro can almost do anything even the latest generation! since low-votage and integrated dual-core process just crappy graph, I don't really think its meet your needs (Audio Studio, game)

So for you its might be interesting to replace it, but you may need to do the following to make the old gen Mac Pro more "usable".

-Add the Ram, I remember its only accepts DDR2 ram (I think, not really sure, I have never had one of that), but get at least 16 GB of this and will be allowed to use the same sound only DDR2, you need measure the cost dedicated to Rams

-Add the USB3.0 card. I didn't say more on this right? USB2 is somehow too crappy for now, if you need measure the cost of the USB3.0 card.

-Probably to replace the hard drive, its massively improve loading speed if you have a fusion drive or an SSD, its depends on your own needs, if you want to do, then you need measure the cost of training you want to buy.

-Replace the graphics card, its origin have something called AMD X 3100 or wat, really, remember its all just too old even glance at her age. and return at the time its totally new, it is not the series of cards that have the intention of game. According to the info you provided, you have need a map rendering and 3D design professional, but a card game, then you may need to replace it with more recently built AMD or Nvidia graphics card in game, try watching the series Geforce and Rasomething. and theres something that should be mentioned is the old Mac Pro motherboard, is somewhat different with PC on hardware support, so that the graphics card must take in charge the Mac EFI boot or something else. I do not see the HD7970 and the GTX7? 0 mac edition, which works perfectly after replacement, but also of boys randomly announcement that they got the PC normal edition of some cards and put it on the Mac Pro, its can't stand not EFI of Mac Pro type so that they can not see a shit only on the screen while the Startup logo should show, but once finished go , its works perfectly. That's what I've heard, I'm bloody tired and sleepy now (PLUS8 GMT) hope so I made an explanation clear outta giant paragraph. But anyway, because they have tested PC edition graphics card also works on Mac, theres a huge amount of graphics card, you can buy and before you buy, if your not sure if this does not work on Mac, just borrow one of it and test it just outside, or directly, so search for Mac guaranteed Mac-compatitable by manufacturing , you need measure the cost of this.

-Possibly a map HiFi sound taking in charge waves and digital output since your doing audio studio, the price increases a breakfast unique price you can buy a car outta that, then choose the one you want and measure the cost.

-the processor might be still allowed to use and the current level of normal performance, so you can just keep it, but if you want to update, of course, a position which cost.

-The time you go to research / purchase parts/physically change/test this baby. as goes XD.

That's essentially all you need to do if you decide to replace your MacBook Pro 13 "with the Mac Pro, the major concern is the cost of parts, other that neither that complex, just to the top, find open port, insertion/replacement material, FACT, USB3 card possible to require a driver, but all you have to do is click NEXT.

OK, good luck pal and if you blow up your House all by improving the Mac Pro, don't tell anyone I gave you these suggestions ok? XDXD

  • 8710p updated to 8.1 Windows (worth it?)

I just upgraded my RAM, looking at upgrading the processor, but I really want to upgrade my OS to Windows 8.1. Is it wise for a machine this old? Can it manage 8.1 and be able to work effectively with this OS (use all of its features and benefits).

IOW, will I be able to use all of the 8.1 or not worth? The 8.1 is COMPLETELY compatible with the HP 8710p (laptop). This has been the largest laptop I've ever owned... Tough Timex (took several hard shots and went out a champion... of work). I hate to give it up.

    You are the very welcome.

  • Buying a T520 is screen FHD is worth the extra $ $ 200

IM buying a T520 in the coming days. My hobby is photography and I change a lot in LR and Psalm I seeks to exceed my budget and get a screen FHD instead of HD +. Can someone give me feedback, it is worth the extra $ $ 200.

If you plan to work with LR and PS FHD has an additional value of 200.

You can downgrade the other components such as HDD, video graphics card, no card WWAN, to offset the price of the screen.

You can update other components in the future, but you can't go to the screen.

  • worth a Win7 update or 8?

I have an old 7yr T60 with XP Home and I would like to hear 'pros' if it is worth upgrading the OS. A computer-savvy friend recommended Win 7, but was not sure of the compatibility (and the age of the T60). What about just upgraded components to help with speed and efficiency? Everything I do is web-surfing, email and office stuff. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  • Worth the user events until the structure of the event runs?

If I create and enter a user event and immediately generate this event before that my structure of the event has seen the refnum inscription, is the event that is always guaranteed to be seen by the structure? In other words, events are queued to the top? It works, but I wonder if I can count on it. I am very sure that I can but I'm setting up a production code and want to be sure that I do not take just the benefit of a bug.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

To my knowledge, the registry for event creates the queue. This behavior is always the same in 7.1, so don't expect to change.

I think that there was a recent discussion on the lavas on that, but I did not.
