• ipSec through my WRP400 seems to slow down the box.

Recently, I went on my WRT54GL for a WRP400 and now when I initiate a VPN connection to my work through the AT & T "dialer" (just not go there - not the choice), my router freezes.  I remember correctly, it didn't do it the first time, but I could be wrong because there were a number of resets when getting everything set up.  I have connected to work several times through the new box and a few minutes after the connection, it goes dead as well as any other internet access (including VOIP).  Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

As of now there is no new firmware available for your router, but I think you need re-flashing the firmware on your router, so once you do that, it might solve your problem.

Once you have updated the firmware on your router, you need to reset your router and reconfigure all the settings on it again. Once you re - configure all settings of your router, you can now check if your VPN works and you get connected to your VPN.

  • Cannot configure wrp400 for service HyperDog digital...

I just had a wrp400 and signed for HyperDog Digitial service... I thought that the configuration would be easy because the router part of the wrp400 is really nice, a setting up quick and very quick start.

Anyway, I stuck the username / password / auth id / HyperDog digital (for the PAP2) site of numbering plan and... no dice.

Are there changes to the numbering plan that need to be made... or what... (?)

    Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure that the proxy settings is correct. If you have a router in front of these wrp400 then you need to forward ports on the router. Also try to see if changing the NAT mapping will operate.

  • WAG160N & WRP400 helps wireless

    Hello

I have a WRP400 connected to the internet and have a WAG160N, which is no longer, I use and would like to extend my wireless range.

I have them connected via an ethernet cable and it seems to work fine without having to configure the WAG160N (seemed to just work automatically), but I can't access the admin GUI WAG160N (tried all sorts of IP addresses in the range WRP400) to modify the (frustrating). My guess is that it probably isn't the best way to implement.

Read the posts here I follow these steps, but I have a few questions:

    1. set the IP address of the WAG160N (The WRP400 is set to 192.168.15.1, then I change the WAG160N to 192.168.15.2. Or should I be the WRP400 DHCP scope setting which starts at 192.168.15.100?)

2 Swtich disable DHCP on the WAG160N. (I think I tried this last night and it wouldn't assign an IP address of my laptop, unless I've done somehting wrong)

    3. connect the two using an ethernet cable.

Once I do that I should still access to the admin of the WAG160N GUI with the IP assigned to the step 1?

Thanks a lot and I can't wait to hear your expert advice.

Topic 1. Fix. Set the address LAN IP 192.168.15.2, outside of the DHCP pool. Be sure to leave the type of internet connection on automatic/DHCP.

    Re 2. Fix.

    Re 3. Fix.

The port on which you connect on the WAG? Port 1 or one of the other. For Port 1, there are additional parameters in the Ethernet configuration page. You must set as port LAN 1 Port it.

After these changes, you should be able to access the web interface on http://192.168.15.2/ but don't forget, immediately after these changes your computer uses an address of 192.168.1. *, so you can not access anything until the computer has an address of 192.168.15. *.

  • WRP400 to 12 MB download limit

    Hello

I just bought a WRP400, and I have a 25/25 MB connection. Download is ok, but my upload is limited to approximately 12 MB. Are there settings I can change or is the maximum. upload speed?

    Concerning

    Henrik, Denmark

I never use wireless. I have 1 GB wired network... But anyway, I just checked all my connections and it seems that I had a bad patchcord between 2 of my switches. After changing this, everything is ok. But thanks anyway for your input.

  • Wireless router WRP400 WAP54G Point Wireless WPS54G print server Wi - Fi

I have a router broadband wireless Linksys WRP400 with 2 phone ports and a Linksys WPS54G wireless print server. Unfortunately, the signal is too weak to detect the wireless Print Server 20 meters/yards away at the other end of the House. (Works fine when they are close together).

Linksys Help Desk told me that a WRE54G amplifier is not useful to extend range, because they will have only a helping hand signal by 50% compared to a WAP54G wireless access point that they recommend.

Can you suggest the best way to increase the signal between a WRP400 router and a wireless WPS54G print server? Would a WAP54G wireless set to halfway between the two (or in some other way) is working to boost the strength of the signal between WRP400 router wireless and wireless WPS54G Print server?

I don't want to have to wire all devices.

No forum topics cover using the WPS54G and WRP400 together, hope I can push the signal strength wireless - thanks for your help.

    Try WAP54G...

  • Slow WRP400 upstream

    Hello

    I have a WRP400 and a Siemens Gigaset SX761

    and a VDSL 10 / 10 Mbps connection

My problem is that the download is very, very slow as 200 Kbps. If I plug my computer directly to the modem, I can download with about 9 Mbps

This is the only download, download is very good...

    Firmware = 1.00.06 29 May 2008

It's also well wired and wireless where upstream is so * beep * slow...

    I found the problem,

    Applications & Gaming-> Internet access

seems that this option is enabled by default. I disabled it and now I get full speed upstream.

  • LINKSYS WRP400: Voice recorded but the number doesn't work don't no (not in service) (no SIP response)

    Hello everyone,

I have a weird and frustrating problem with some Linksys WRP400 and I hope you can give me advice.

Long story short: the voice on the WRP400 line keeps stop working, even if it is registered on my SIP PBX. Only a reboot of the router or a stop put on the line temporarily fix the issue.

Let's add some details: I had a lot of WRP400 installed and running, and not all of them have this problem. They all have the same configuration.

I tried to work around the problem, reducing registry expires 3600 to 1200, defining to call without Reg and years call without Reg, setting on restrict the IP Source address and reset daily at 05:00. It doesn't seem to help.

When the problem occurs, if I call the voice line number I get an error "the number you have dialed is not in service" or similar. Sometimes my clients said they can make an outgoing call, while the problem is still on, but more often, the line is totally silent on the outbound road.

On my SIP PBX, I see that the number is regularly recorded, with the right timing.

If I do a sniff of Wireshark on my SIP PBX, I see some regular "ask: INVITE sip:[email protected]/ * /: 5060; transport = udp, with description of session' a PBX to the router but the router never answers.

If I reboot, the vocal line to re-register and start working again.

I have attached a screenshot and the Wireshark Sniffer.

I use the 2.00.32 latest firmware.

You have any advice? It becomes an annoying problem and I am groping in the dark.

    Best regards

    Maurizio

PS: Should I I asked Belkin or is it always in the right place?

    ---

    http://about.me/mauriziotroilo

Hi, we use the WRP400 of the years and the voice module has always been problematic.

I have a theory on this problem: I think that the safety function to "Restrict the IP Source address" crashes after a few hours of regular work and it filters all incoming SIP messages.

You can confirm this idea by turning on the trace of the sip. In my case the trace shows all SIP entering until the reboot request.

Can I ask you how many CPES you have?

What is the frequency of this problem?

In our network, we have about 2000 installed platform and we must restart on unit 2-3 per day.

    Kind regards.

  • WRP400 nat: disabled = > can't reach WAN

    Hi, as shown here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6790/gatecont/ps10024/ps10028/data_sheet_c78-502141.html

This router support bridge mode, but I am unable to set it up.

There is no option in the web configuration page, but the manual says that disable nat active mode automatic routing.

Unfortunately, all I get when I turn off nat is unable to reach any address wan.

In the routing table generated on the wrp400 (in NO nat mode), I see that 0.0.0.0 is correctly configured to use the router to the external borders, but any packet entering the lan wrp400 port is not routed there.

In addition, I get no dhcp on external router, which means that the wrp400 is blocking.

Please, explain to me how to put in place a bridge between wan and lan ports mode, thank you.

In my experience the WRP400 does not support bridge mode. You must use a SPA2102 or router/bridge of SRP520.

    Kind regards.

  • problems with VOIP on WRP400

Hey all. I bought this router for a friend of mine. mainly for the side of voip as their old one kept freezing. long story short, I was able to get all this work, phone calls and talk to all work except for a small problem, called cutting after about 30 seconds! but they come back another 10 seconds later. This is the most weird thing I've seen. We live in Australia and the provider is gotalk. I tried different audio codecs and ive checked the internet connection. everything is in order on this side here. all you other ideas?

You can try upgrading the firmware on your router.

    Try this link .

  • Smart way to propagate the IP address addy?

OK, so I got my wrp400 mostly working. The problem I am always face is that incoming calls always have an audio course. They can hear me, I can't hear them... so after a bit of research and testing and reading and manipulation, I found that it worked:

    Setings SIP...

    Substitute VIA Addr--> Yes

    EXT IP--> my.public.ip.address

    I don't have a public static IP, however. So it's not a long-term solution.

The problem, of course, is that the vocal part of the wrp400 sends its local IP (10.0.0.xxx) on as its public IP address even if the wrp400 full DMZ, all ports for the public IP assigned and are opened through the wrp400. Basically, he doesn't know the IP address of the real world.

Why this only happens on incomming calls mash (IMO) revealing some automatic detection that allows the external network router to do with outgoing calls, but on specific incoming calls it internally... it shows just the wrong addy.

Is there a setting that will force the use of external vs internal IP information?

I'm not sure that differences with a WRP400 and other Linksys/Sipura devices, but the WRP400 is described in the Guide of Administration of ATA even it should be similar to other maps.

The NAT Mapping Enable parameter causes the adapter to use its external ip address, if this address is known. The key word here is known. If she does not know the external address, it will use the address he knows, the local network address.  There are several ways that the adapter can discover its external ip address.  One way, as you have learned, is to hardcode the address in the IP EXT: field.  This announcement DogFace05 describes two complementary ways:

I have found that if you have a proxy configured to register and the registration is successful, if he has received = and a rport = on the sip 200 OK message in response to check the adapter will save the external address and port number back if you asked to do in the receipt handle VIA: / handle VIA rport: the Sip tab settings.  Some voip providers do not include these parameters, others.

You use a server STUN is a common way to determine the external ip address and external port numbers.  With a STUN server adapter sends several messages on the server and the STUN server sends back indicating the port numbers and the external ip address received.  You can use any STUN server that responds quickly.

With a STUN server, you usually include substitution VIA Addr settings: and RESP to CBC Send Port:

A good description of the Support of the NAT settings is located here.

  • Numbering problem

I have an asterisk server, and I made a number such as 10 * to compose and then I can implement some features on the asterisk.

my phone cisco 7960 is doing well, but my Don t wrp400 and pap2t.

    any help?

Lunatic, and what exactly happens when you dial 10 * and wait?

You get a tone at the beginning, no beep or tone during or after you dial 10 *, no matter what tone after a wait Let's say 10-15 s (after having 10 *)?

The asterisk indicates any that way that "feature set" mode?

The numbering of the PAP2T plan should include one of those who, like:

XX.

(if you use "random" two figures)

x 1.

    (if you use the numbers 10 * 19 *)

10 * S0

(if you still dial 10 * only and you want them to be sent immediately)

  • WRT320N - loss of internet connection after redirect port 80 and 443

    Hello

I have a problem with my new WRT320N. When I activate the port forwarding on my local server (ports 80 and 443), after a while I completely lose internet connection on all my computers connected to the router (wifi and lan computers). The router itself can ping and trace any Internet site through diagnostics to Web administration. When I turn off and click on save changes button, my internet connection works immediately again. I have the latest firmware installed and I tried to reset the router several times and set it manually since the beginning.

My previously detained WRP400 has been configured to redirect these exactly the same ports and everything worked perfectly. Could someone advise me where could be a mistake? Thank you.

I solved it. There was a problem with the combination of the service 'DHCP Reservation"of the router and client DHCP of Ubuntu. I disabled "Booking DHCP" and set the IP settings manually in the Ubuntu computer and now it works perfectly

  • can the WRT54GL router be configured to operate as a point of access/switch?

The router connected to the internet is a WRP400, and I've got a WRT54GL connected via PLN to improve the signal. I would like to have the WRT54GL work like a switch and point of access, is this possible? The problem is that, in order to have my TV box work, I need the WRP400 to assign IP addresses. Does make sense, and it is possible to make this work?

    Regards, Martin

This makes sense... for many people... probably at least twice a day in this forum...

See here for an answer to this FAQ.

A roaming wireless network set up the two access points with the same SSID and wireless security settings. Choose from different channels, at least 5 pieces, for example 1 & 6.

  • How to record voice on SRP500 configuration

    Hello

I work at an ISP, and I recently bought series Cisco Small Business SRP500. In my opinion, it works very well for small business, but I want to save a configuration file, so do not to lose a lot of time every time that I set them up for customers. If I click on "Save Configuration" in the Administration tab, it saves only the connection data, but not the voice of those. It's the same problem as Linksys WRP400, but at least with Linksys, you could save a html page and reload on new devices.

Is there a way to also save voices config, or at least Cisco works about it?

    Thank you

    Hi Luca,

Of course, you can retrieve the configuration in XML format, as follows:

    http://192.168.15.1/admin/config.XML

    or

http://192.168.15.1/admin/config.xml&xuser=admin&xpassword= if you are not currently connected.

When the XML file is displayed in your browser, right click to view source, and then save this file.  Save this source ensures that you have a configuration file that can be used to reactivate the file later.

For your information, you can also retrieve too /admin/status.xml in this way.

    Hope that helps,

    Andy
