WRT610N + Drobo USB storage link not recognized at all?

I recently updated the firmware on my 610N to things that came out in January because I saw that they have improved the UPnP support (I expect codecs etc.). I had tried my Drobo on storage link when I got the router last fall. OK acknowledged, he did not support Divx or many other codecs I want to broadcast from it. I had not really tried in a long time. After you Flash the firmware, I tried a 200 GB Western Digital and it worked very well. Streaming Divx without problem. Then I "ejected" which and hung the Drobo. No joy. He does not or something, because I have not the button 'create the share. Is this a known issue? Is there any other configuration I need to do? This is a Gen 1 drobo via a USB port. Thank you.

  • WNR2200 Netgear ReadyShare USB storage does not

I have trouble getting the USB ReadyShare working on my router Netgear WNR2200 storage. If I reset the router to factory by using a paper clip and now the reset button in and then just connect a computer to Ethernet, 1 Port, it works fine and I can access by typing just "\\readyshare" in windows Explorer. Unfortunately I can not leave the router with its factory settings as it is not good for my network, I disable DHCP, because it's the 3rd router on my network. The router itself works great when I do that, all the computers connected to have a connection to the internet and can also connect to each other etc... purpose storage readyshare file sharing no longer works. It's just as if she is not there.

While I was trying to experiment when he actually stopped working, so I reset the router to factory settings and started again. Connected to the computer first to 1 Port Ethernet and it worked fine as before. Went in the router settings and turned off DHCP and it has always worked well. It is only when I actually connect the router to other routers which ReadyShare USB storage stops working. When it is assigned an IP address from my main router which is the DHCP I guess? I don't know why that's upsetting it well? I checked on the same workgroup (a setting that I didn't notice initially) but also makes no difference.

Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong? I guess it is just configured wrong and it's probably something really simple, but I can't see it. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

    Simon

Change the LAN IP is affecting an IP address on the WNR2200 to be in the same range of main router.

You will be able to change this in the LAN Setup.

    The steps would be:

    1. do you have a computer just be directly to the WNR2200 and nothing else.

    2. navigate to the router admin page.

    3. change the LAN IP to a unique IP address, such as 10.0.0.200 or one IP address that is not used in the network.

    4 disable DHCP.

    5. once the settings are saved, connect the main router to one of the WNR2200 LAN ports.

From there, you should be able to access the USB key.

    Let me know what happens.

  • Canon LBP 2900 B: USB cable is not recognized by Setup on Windows 7

The USB is not recognized by the Installer before once. I was in windows 7 and downloaded the drivers from the official Canon Web site, so I've upgraded to windows 10 but a few reasons that I rolled back to windows 7 but now the printer driver is lost so I decided to reinstall. I've seen a lot of discussions on this and in this respect Canon website but nothing works at all. Here we are with an image where the device and printers can detect the Cannon printer but the installation program can detect it at all.

    Also, I tried these things:

    • Reinstall the software.
    • Tried to update the existing drivers, and then restart the computer.
    • Changed the serial port.
    • Download the software again.
    • Print management > delete data...

    Help me in this please.

    Kind regards

    Siddharth.

    Hello Siddharth,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community and appreciate your efforts to solve this issue.

Have you tried to connect to any other USB device? Has been the result even?

I understand that the USB device is detected by your computer, but could not install the driver and get the message "cannot recognize the USB connection. The question may arise if the currently loaded USB driver has become unstable or damaged or if your PC requires an update for problems that could conflict with a device USB and Windows. This can also occur if your USB controllers may have become unstable or corrupt. So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Please try the fixit (s) provided below which will help you solve common problems associated with devices and USB ports.

If method 1 does not work, try Method 2.

    Method 2:

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers.

    1. Open Manager devices by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click system and security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the list of the categories of equipment, locate and expand Bus USB controllers.
    3. Right-click every device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
    4. Restart the computer and let the USB controllers get reinstalled.
    5. Plug in the removable USB device and test to make sure that the problem is solved.

If the problem persists, go to method 3.

    Method 3:

This method will install the latest drivers from device to your USB device.

    1. Click the Start button, type Windows Update in the search box, and then click Windows Update in the results pane.
    2. Click find updates. When the scan finished, click optional review updates.
    3. Click the check box next to the update, and then click install updates.
    4. If you are prompted, read the license agreement, then click I agree.
    5. Follow the instructions on the screen to download and install updates.
    6. If you are prompted, restart your computer.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards
