WVC-200 with Hgigh Linksys Gain 7dbi antenna to 200 m router with antenna 10dbi

There is also a possibility to make parabolic reflectors for your existing antenna. I tried it and it actually works very well thrust transmission significantly in desired directions (and remove the signal in unwanted directions).

Very little work is involved and no special materials or tools. I did my just a pizza box takeaway reflectors (for party support for the model, see link below) and aluminum of some beercans for reflector surfaces. My idea of humor at the time... Well the point is that basically, you take what you have lying around. Tools: a pair of scissors, a knife and a little glue.

http://www.freeantennas.com/projects/Template2/index.html

I'm not kidding. It is interesting to try especially for the situation you describe when you can put reflectors on the router antennas and cam, that is to say both ends of the transmission of the link.

  • Configuration of Gain of antenna in WLC

    Hello

What it means to specify the PB of the antennas in the WLC for each access point. The antenna is a passive component and it is just the signal, how is that they give us the ability to specify the dBi, I don't understand the advantage and effect. If we let the zero, what is happening?

It is important that your WLC knows what the antenna gain is so it knows what level of power to set your AP Radio to. This will ensure that power levels are within the limits of regulatory and legal in your country.

Antennas apply passive to your signal gain after he left the AP which will result in an overall increase in EIRP (effective radiated power effective isotropic).

Power of the AP - loss in the Cable + antenna Gain = EIRP.

Do not set in the WLC could result in your AP exceeding the limits of statutory authority.

    See you soon,.

  • Need help choosing correct High Gain Antennas

    Hi all

I was wondering if someone could please offer me assistance in the choice of the correct high gain antennas for my Wireless Linksys WAP54G access point. I recently ordered a set of Amazon, and even if the product description says that they would, they do not have. The product said that it was a type of connection RP - TNC, but it wouldn't fit my WAP54G. Could you get it someone please let me know what type of connector most recent WAP54G access point? I really need to get some antennas ordered as soon as possible.

Here is a link to the antennas I ordered on Amazon, which has not worked for me:

    http://www.Amazon.com/9dB-Linksys-15-booster-antenna/DP/B0009U736A/ref=cm_cr-Mr-title

Although I wish I had the real Linksys brand antennas, they are much too expensive. If you can point me in the right direction, or maybe even send me a link directly to the product page of what I need to order, which would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your help, and I wish everyone a great holiday of Thanksgiving.

    See you soon,.

The antenna for the WAP54G and WRT54G the connector are of type RP - TNC

Do you have any RP-TNC-M or RP-TNC-F

The connector of the antenna on the WAP54G is M, so the antenna must be F

  • no error message Internet with linksys wrt54g2 v1 router

    Hello

I connected my linksys wrt54g2 v1 connect to the LAN router and the WiFi worked perfectly well. Two days there was a problem with the connection to the local network and finally he solved. Now when I connect my router wireless to the LAN, the ssid is listed and when I connect to the WI - FI connection, see an error message saying "no internet access. Could someone help me solve this problem?

Note: I have reset the router and changed the necessary configurations, but it still does not work.

    Thank you!

Hi varun_umesh. It is obvious that the router is no longer communicates with the modem. Try to power cycle first two devices. Once the power supply light is good on the modem and the router, check again if the internet works on your devices. If not, these links will be able to help you to reconfigure the router.

  • Configure 1141n with 802.11n

    Hello community,

Currently, I'm trying to set up a 1141n (AIR-AP1141N-E-K9) autonomous access point with 802.11n. When I configure the access point for no encryption or aes - ccm encryption I am not able to set up the parameters of speed of dot11n (max. 54 Mbps). In addition, documentation (data sheet, conf IOS guide, getting started) said that the ap has two interface for (dot11radio0) 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (dot11radio1) radio. I am not able to configure the interface dot11radio1. I tried to reset the access point to the default configuration, but this makes no difference. Even with default conf I can't configure dot11n. My question is: what am I doing wrong? Can someone help me?

According to the output you associate with MCS rates

    "Current rate: m15.

You will not be able to achieve the full 300Mbps throughput until you enable the channel binding, but this is not recommended from the b/g networks because it would effectivly leaves you with only one channel of Alcan.

    Hello

Just got my wrt1900ac and I wonder there is no technical difference between the antennas, broadcasting four antenna all the same data? or two do not broadcast the 2.5 GHZ and the other 5 GHZ, etc.. I have two high-gain external antennas and want to know which of the four, I should replace, if there is a difference or if she does'nt question that is not being replaced.

  • E3000 with the same problems on & more here, but no expert solution for the 2 main problems

1 - with regard to support USB connected hard drives that will not transfer data & like to come & go quite often of the view.

Everything seems like a joke to me, when I read that a lot of people have hard drives USB who worked for a year, & when it stops working or acts upward, we all have a test to see if it connects & works very well on our other connections PC/Laptop & the only advice given, this firmware is upgraded or a list of hard drives that have been tested and work on the E3000.

2nd - my other problem is that my E3000 now decides of its own to disconnect wireless & cable Communication and then reconnect alone, whenever you feel.

What makes angry of this problem is that it is abundant in the Forums & I tried all the fixes, but I still have the same problem & sound as good as this device of 2 year, Max is grilled. As is the case when there is a loose connection that overheated, in what thread or welded metal move when heat is added & move at the time where the heat is removed.

    PROBLEM:

My touch 1 Maxtor (from the approved list) is connected and playing now you see me & now you don't game. If I ever try to import or to export any image file or music, the Communication goes & then sometimes will return its own. Working with Game Consoles, when something begins to work intermittently, then it is a hardware problem or software with the device. It is not a user error, when it worked fine before.

SOLUTION?: This is why we are all here. Thanks to a landmark of expert for the same problem that many of us have?

How about this solution. Why not let all E3000 owners send there wireless routers is not working towards a credit for a new operating model nice. I think that we would all save a lot of headaches & get rid of 25% of all calls for help on this forum.

    Thank you for your attention,

    BigdogTim7

PS. Please give us/me expert advice on how to solve the problem. If nobody knows the answer, then Cisco/Linksys looks really bad for selling a router high of $$$, being touted for the games and files sharing multimedia home & it only at this stage. If it should be recalled, will bring up by all means, or come up with a fully functional firmware.

Thanks again & hope to hear news good & productive, cause I am so tired of playing with this E3000 & will more than likely stay away from your product for any & all future purchases, no matter where you are ranked (E3000 was 3rd & best prices of the top 3 when I bought it).

Well, I'm here, not having heard an assumption about my problem, but to get an opinion of experts & solution to my problem, but also all other users of the same or very similar problems.

I am now a HAPPY 'Belkin N600 DB' owner for only $79.99 @ Wal-Mart/Radio Shack. This new does much more than the Cisco E3000 wireless router & even changed my Modem 100 MB (green) flow out of 1000 GB (Amber Light).

    So, so HAPPY now!

  • Seamless roaming with EA7500 + RE7000 the two AP work?

I have a wired router provided by my ISP at home and a few wireless (wired connection to the router, DHCP off) covering the rooms. The experience of homelessness is terrible, and I am considering buying an EA7500 and a RE7000 to replace my existing APs.

But after this post EA7500 is not compatible 802.11r. It is a surprise for me. I would like to know which of the following configurations provides the best mobile experience, or are they the same?

    (a) 1 EA7500 + 1 RE7000, both working as AP, wired to the router;

    (b) 2 RE7000 works like AP, wired to the router.

With option one) I also use EA7500 for storage network etc., but homelessness experience matters more for me.

    @Carolina

If the two Linksys RE7000 are both connected to the router, they will act as an Access Point, however, adding another extensions (RE7000) wireless to remote locations is possible depending on the coverage of your network. BTW, check out this link how to configure 2 Linksys RE7000 for seamless roaming. You can also check out this other link to set up your RE7000 with a Linksys Max-Stream router.

  • Fine continuous with G Router but not with N

I recently bought a N-Router Linksys E2000 to replace my current G-Router Linksys WRT54GL in hopes of having the best connection for my Boxee Box wireless. I discovered that my Boxee Box have some problem (every 10 to 20 seconds) of buffering when streaming files .mkv 720 p or 1080 p Wireless with my E2000. I decided to put my good old... surprise and WRT54GL! No buffering... even with my mkv 1080 p... files! I also give it a try to transfer a TV show in 720 p (mkv) by wireless in the HARD drive connected on the Boxee... I have an average speed of 1.70 MB/s with the WRT54GL and not still 400 KB/s with the E2000... What's the problem with him?

The latest authentic firmware both have 2 routers. The E2000 is set to mixed mode, auto channel and WPA2-Personal (AES). The WRT54GL is set to G only, Channel 6 and WPA2-Personal (AES). Is there something I need to check on my E2000 wireless settings?

    Thank you!

Change the channel on E2000 to 6 or 11. Save the settings.

Also try to change some advanced on the router settings wireless. Click on the Wireless tab and go wireless advanced settings. Change the tag to 75 interval, RTS threshold to 2307 and 2306 fragmentation threshold. Save the settings.

Go to the Configuration tab and change the size MTU to 1365. Save the settings and the cycle of power to the router. See if that helps you.

  • Using a cellular provider like internet access with an E4200

    Hello:

I want to upgrade my home network a WRT300N towards a new E4200 and spend my MiFi cellular access DSL internet provider. (The spd DSL is only 500K, and I can get up to 21 MB on cell phone at about the same cost. Woopee!

The problem is that only my supplier available a cellular access system is also a router without wire - a home network router small no less - a 4 G Netgear MBR1210 Turbo hub. But she has a few ports ethernet on it. So I think that I must configure network settings domestic suppliers to be totally different from my outgoing home network (different SSID, channel and different home range of IP address, disable DHCP if possible, via its outputs ethernet plug at the entrance to the INTERNET on the E4200 with a short ethernet cable and then use my Linksys as the DHCP server and the router for my home network wireless network.) I have a very large network with many devices much more on what block takes care of the provider. I can configure the linksys E2400 to accept the IP address that the MiFi unit never gives him as my Internet service provider entry and then configure the rest of the network, as it used to be with my older Linksys WRT300N router?

    See you soon!

    I think it should work.

Connect your service provide router on the Internet on the E4200 Linksys port.

Open the E4200 configuration page and check the IP address on the State of your router?
