  • Satellite Pro S300 - cannot extend the desktop to an external monitor

    Hello
I have a Satellite Pro S300 and it won't extend the desktop to an external monitor / projector, but it will clone the desktop?

    so far I have tried:
2 instructors and 1 projector all do the same thing, will clone but not extend.
Reinstall the latest drivers to display on the Toshiba site.
Reinstall the latest drivers of change on the Toshiba site.

But nothing worked, I even checked my S300 colleagues to make sure that I use the same parameters and their (of 2 other s300) extend and clone office.

Has anyone seen this before and how solve you the problem?

    Paul

Did you first remove the old driver before you install the new driver? If this is not the case, try to reinstall the driver again. Therefore, to remove the old driver, restart the computer, use CCleaner to clean the registry and install the new version you can find on the Toshiba site.

More I would try updating the BIOS. You can find it on the Toshiba site too.

I hope it works for you.

  • Choice of a model of desktop Inspiron for two monitors

I didn't keep on computer hardware for some time and I found myself completely confused now that I'm looking to choose a new system that will support two monitors. It seemed simple at first, but now I'm a little worried that I'm missing something.

    In any case...

I am looking to buy a desktop Inspiron model relatively inexpensive which allows two monitors. What should I look for to confirm the system that I'm looking will support two monitors? At first I thought that I would need to have a discreet graphics as opposed to something like the graphics card intel integrated, but some of the things I've seen seem to indicate the onboard graphics on some of the tips Intel will do what I need.

I would mainly use for extended desktop just to be able to open MS Excel on both screens, but sometimes I wish I could watch my DIRECTV on one of the monitors (probably by logging into my DIRECTV account, as I do sometimes on my laptop).

Hoping someone can give me an idea here.

    Thanks in advance!

No, I don't say that all Intel adapters will work. The link I gave was a particular model Inspiron. Apparently the web page changed, because when I went back to it, the page was different.

    You buy a system with a card video of at least one of the monitors. Or, if you really want a cheap system, you can buy one that has only the onboard video and then separately purchase a USB > {video) dongle where {video} matches at least one port on the second monitor, for example USB > HDMI.}

  • Impossible to extend the desktop to a secondary monitor

    Hello

So I recently bought a new monitor, I have already been operating my TV.
But now I want to be able to extend the display on my desk while watching TV on the internet, I can just do drag to my TV and sit on the couch instead of having to sit in front of my screen.
I go to the screen resolution, and it detects that the two monitor are connected. The monitor (1920 x 1080) is connected to the TV (1280 x 720) with HDMI DVI.
The two are connected by the GPU.
But when I click on extend the desktop and then try to save an error message appears telling me that it is impossible to save these changes.
I don't know what the problem is, the two screens are connected, the two works but I can not extend the display.
My GPU is a 6950 Gigabyte, and it is updated to the latest drivers.
If anyone can help solve me this problem I would be very grateful.
    Thank you

    Hello

Error message "Cannot save the display settings" shows essentially that you try to extend or duplicate the Office for external monitors.  I suspect that the problem occurs because the computer remembers the two configuration for your extended monitor and TV.  To extend your monitor, you must delete the multiple configurations for your computer, then extend your display by changing your display settings. To do this, proceed as follows:

The Troubleshooting Manual in the link above steps show you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756/

    Remove the registry key.

    a. press Win + R to open a run dialog box.

    b. in the run box, type regeditand then click OK.

    c. look for the following registry subkey:

    d. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MobilePC\TMM

    e. right click on the subkey, and then click Remove.

    f. When you are prompted to confirm the delete operation, click Yes.

    g. on the file menu, click exit to quit the registry editor.

Log off the computer. Then, connect to the computer.

Extend your display by changing the display settings.
    a. open the screen resolution by clicking on the Start button, click Control Panel, and then under appearance and personalization, click adjust screen resolution.
    b. click on the drop down next to several screens, click extend these screens and then click OK.

  • Change the desktops sometimes causes reboot

Hello! Since the upgrade to Sierra this morning, I found a pretty annoying bug. Several times I have "swept" my Magic Mouse to turn on my second monitor to desktop computers, my iMac mid-2011 restarts. Nothing seems abnormal in Mission Control, but I don't know where else to look for clues on how to prevent this.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hi there HippieBoy!

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support and thank you for bringing your question about your Magic Mouse having problems switching to the desktop on your second monitor and restart your iMac.  I love being able to use a second monitor and have my iMac spontaneously reboot would get old real fast for me.  It's my pleasure to help you today.

  • Desktop Compaq with Windows 7 no reconnect to the internet after the awakening of the mode standby

Info on the computer: Compaq SG3-150SC desktop computer, processor is AMD Athlon (TM) II x 2 215 with 2, is 7 MHz, bios American Megatrends Inc. 6.01, 23.4.2010 SMBIOS version 2.6, RAM is 4 GB total. OS is Windows 7 64 bit edition Home premium + service pack 2.

    ON THE PROBLEM

This problem has happened recently. Once I turn on my desktop mode computer "sleep", it cannot reconnect to the Internet and I use only cable internet which computer is connected via ethernet to the cable-internet-modem/router cable. The computer seems to be able to view all available networks, but she was never able to connect to the Internet (after waking up from sleep). At the same time that the computer seems to have slowed a lot, I have no idea why, but I guess he's trying to reconnect to the internet and this process of reconnection is devouring its resources.

I had other problems with this computer during this past year the half, but will not go into great detail with them now. These problems have been losing some dll. file that was ment to display the Win 7 great/normal devices connected to the computer, and a total system crashes / freezes after having updated graphics drivers AMD ATI Radeon 3000. However these problems seem to have disappeared after Windows 7 service pack 2 update. Also, I scanned the computer several times with a well-known and apreciated overall software security, no virus or other major security problems have been found.

The only problem that seems to have the computer right now is just this question, I am trying to solve.

Any suggestions to check and make what?

  • Problem with "Extended desktop", integrated display is disabled

    Hi all

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch early 2011 with OSX El Capitan 10.11.4.

Just before I upgraded to 10.11.4, I use to work with "extended desktop" using the built-in screen and the external monitor. Since the update, whenever I connect the external display it goes automatically to the external screen and completely disables the built-in screen. Sometimes removing the HDMI cable (with mini port adapter), putting the MacBook to sleep, log in again and the Mac, the awakening back on two screens, but most of the time he spends just go back to the external display only. This gets really annoying.

When you use the external monitor display poster preferences only options of this monitor and my arrangement tab is missing (like the built-in display is temporarily disabled). By clicking on "Detect displays" (after pressing option to show) doesn't change anything. Using the brightness to toggle keys mirroring does not work either.

Is - it there anyway that I can configure so worth by default "Extended desktop" with built-in monitor on and external display?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi there Ajgalvezm,

It seems that your computer does not work with your monitor external because you upgrade 10.11.4. I would use these steps in the following article to help you solve problems that:

Get help with graphical problems on external displays connected to your Mac.

Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.
