XP Media Center Image bad message at startup

I get a "bad image" message when you try to start windows on my xp with the tag "c:\windows\system32\wininet.211" when I click ok I just get your desktop with icons without any start button, nothing that the background image. Opening Task Manager does not show all the programs that are running.  I tried to start in safe mode.  Same message, same result. I also tried to boot from the installation cd and run the repair that gives me a list of commands and I tried chkdsk.  Ran the whole scan, but it made no difference, still get the same result.  This computer doesn't have internet access.  Any ideas before you completely reinstall the operating system?

Good then - PAM does not run in Safe Mode, so that the logic the file "mssing" would not automatically be replaced (it's good when the sensible things).

Sooner or later, I would follow with this:

    Hello

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

It seems a problem with missing or damaged system files. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
    Method 1:
Let flow the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if it helps.
    Microsoft security scanner: http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. During these 10 days, it will remove all the files infected by the virus and records. I suggest you create a backup of your data, and then install Microsoft Safety Scanner.

    Method 2:
Run the scan tool (SFC) System File Checker and check if it helps.
How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 3:
Try to create a new user account and check if it helps.
    Create a user account: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows-vista/Create-a-user-account
If the problem is resolved in the new user account, this means that the old user profile is damaged. Here is the link to repair a user account damaged: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

    "Fixed in this update

On a computer that is running Windows 7, you use Windows Media Center with a TV tuner analog Watch analog TV live. In this case, you receive messages from overlay low intermittent flow in Windows Media Center.

Windows Media Center monitor the inflow of over-the-air television. Without this follow-up, the bit rate very low fall when the analog input of the TV is low or does not have a signal. This causes a black screen or a static screen. With this follow-up, Windows Media Center displays a message of overlay to indicate a possible problem with the inflow during the analog input of the TV is low or does not have a signal.

However, the method that is used to monitor the inflow on analog signals is too sensitive. This may cause a false alarm of a low flow.

Note Several regions have switched over to digital broadcasting. There are hardware configurations in digital programs to convert the digital signal into an analog signal. "These configurations can include set-top boxes and digital-analog-switch-boxes".

    Hello, Richard

Do you still have the same problem after performing the steps that was you on the list?

If so, you can try to run a SFC scan to make sure that the system files are intact: How to use the tool File Checker system to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or Windows 7

The only other option I can think is that the signal is in fact weak and therefore, the signal is lost.

Assuming that the signal strength is good and the System File Checker was not working, the next step that I have to recommend would be to back up your files on an external and reinstall Windows:

    Install, reinstall, or uninstall Windows
    Back up your files

  • Media Center _Service is blurred

Media Center returns this message when I try to watch live TV Service is scrambled the current service is encrypted and cannot be considered at this time.  I have re-done settings and now I have two channels and Media Center still does not work.  I also reinstall the display adapter drivers and the result is the same.  Can someone tell me what the solution to this problem?  Thank you

Thanks for trying to lend a hand here, Jojo.

I do not install anything or do anything on the computer before that. It just happened suddenly.
At this point in time, I am quite positive that Comcast has got rid of clear QAM (i.e. all their channels are encrypted, now, because of a recent FCC dispenses with the obligation to provide the basic channels in clear QAM.)   This means 6 years of clear QAM pleasure eventually led through the FCC.
  • Windows XP Media Center 2002 - RUNDLL error message; "Error loading c:\WINDOWS/svacaciz.dll".

I have Windows XP Media Center 2002 and implementing on the road, I get a RUNDLL error message; 'Error loading c:\WINDOWS/svacaciz.dll - the specified module was not e' Please HELP

It is easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem simply remove the startup message.
I would recommend also you start to search in the register, unless you have a backup because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom, but may not actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.
Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
There is very little. DLL files that should be loaded from the C:\WINDOWS folder and is not one of them.
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira
!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.
If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can use Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can simply disable, restart and if the problem is resolved and then remove the offending entry
.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that you had or have an infection, followed with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

  • "Look at one or more conflicts tuned" message in Media Center - without a TV tuner after the Win Update

My ATI TV Wonder tuner Digital Cable Ready with my desktop computer HP Pavilion Media Center (Vista 64), has worked and the TV Tuner received 135 channels of cable TV has recorded up to WHAT I've done an update optional Windows which included something for the ATI TV Wonder software. Maybe it's a coincidence, but ever since then, I get the message 'Display or listening to conflict' when I try to watch live TV. System Restore does not resolve the problem. So my problem is, I can't view or record live TV.  All the other features of Windows Media Center always seem to work as it is supposed to.

If I have access to tasks > settings > TV > TV Signal and try setting the option of TV Signal or Digital Tuner Diagnostics options, I get a "no tuner hardware detected... Please ensure equipment is installed correctly...» »

I can still play my previously recorded TV files very well. I can get the Media updates > News > MSNBC.com online all day and can watch the news clips daily including archives.

I have the 1.19 firmware update. It has been downloaded and applied by the Device Manager. Yet, no TV. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the firmware according to the AMD instructions that suggest to reapply the firmware without the CableCard installed card and in a window of 2 to 10 minutes of turning on the device. This does not solve the problem either.

I bought a new ATI TV Wonder unit exactly as the former, exchanged, but I still have the same problem. I also took the ATI TV Wonder unit and cables and hooked it up to my laptop HP Media Center, and the TV Tuner has received from live TV. So I know the receiver module within the ATI unit is not bad. I also replaced my graphics card, but that was not the problem.

Thanks for taking a peek at my problem.

After unsuccessfully trying everything I could find that had the potential to solve my problem, I finally solved the problem myself. It's actually a corrupted Windows file that allows my TV tuner, which caused all my problems. I reinstalled my Vista operating system to its original state, and now the ATI TV tuner works fine.

A 'thank you' to everyone who pitched in to help.

I don't know what happened, I left my PC off overnight and planned reformatting today. But I decided to give him another chance. Instead of saying the tuner was not available. He showed me a static snow image strong, as he was trying to use my Analogue tuner. In fact, it is supposed to use the composite input for my cable box. I re set my TV signals, and now everything works well again. Its strange because I reboot half a dozen times last night and it's never worked. Leaving the PC turned off for the night must have done the trick, I guess.

    Thank you very much

    Hi David

Can you please be more specific as to our image Enhancement Utility Toshiba is on? In my opinion, you can run this utility, make any desired setting and confirm with OK. Close image Enhancement Utility and then start Media Center.

Have you checked is this brand present on some other cases such as DVD playback or something like that?
