  I just upgraded my compact Z5 and lost all access to mobile data.

  I just put a second user profile on my Xperia z3 compact for my girlfriend, she's going to borrow the phone for a few weeks, but I can't find an option to enable mobile data using his profile.
  If I turn my profile and then go to hers, she'll have mobile data, but I wanted to be able to control it without having to change.
  There is no option to choose the NPP or mobile data turn on slide it towards the bottom of the configuration menus (the pencil icon) on his profile.
  I'm running the stock android 5.1.1 Xperia.
  Anyone know if this is possible and how? Thank you.

  I had a HP 3D drive guard error after installing drivers of devices in Device Manager in the control panel.  I looked on Google for answers and they said to find the right driver on the HP website, sp71811, uninstall the old drivers and install a new one for this laptop.  I did this and got an error DLL missing after restarting the machine.  You told me to uninstall again and reinstall and do not forget to restart after uninstalling.  The installation said it was incomplete, that the files were not completely installed.  I got an error message about a missing .dll file (don't have the error code now).  Something about a file stack error.  I went to the Device Manager and uninstalled the driver for the HP mobile data protection thinking can I reinsall that Device Manager but he removed the accelerometer.  Now I can't download HP 3D DG due to missing accelerometer.  How can I retrieve the accelerometer and the original problem with HP DG 3D?

• Accuracy of mobile data use

  I recently made a switch of carrier and the new carrier data usage reports average higher than I used to.

  I usually never checked the mobile use of the data in the settings, so I have no experience on how accurate it is usually. I've always had 3GB included and reaches about 1 to 2 GB maximum.

  So, I recently reset the statistics to compare the unusual high numbers reported by the carrier and it turns out that:

  My phone displays 40 MB of data transfer while my carrier charge me 300 MB transfer!

  I asked the carrier and they said that their figures are correct and their charges are what matters. They also told me I should quit by comparing it to the use of mobile data expressed by my phone, it is not accurate at all.

  I am aware that there are certain circumstances why the carrier numbers are higher, for example their billing rounds up to the next full 64 k, transmission, errors that cause returns etc. I expect 10% of the higher numbers, or perhaps 20% higher, but in my case, it's almost ten times!

  Anyone experienced something like this before, or knows how to solve this problem? How are the statistics for you?

  I have not had the problem.  Two iPhone-6 units, both on Verizon 1 G plan.

• Mobile data does not and the name of the Access Point settings are not available

  I don't have a mobile data, not even the small up and down arrows or letters beside the sims signal bars appear.

  I tried all the troubleshooting settings and different type of network, the airplane mode is off, mobile data are no limit, no power save modes are on. Phone is dual sim so I tried on the two sims and tried to disable the other sim and changing the sim slots, both sims are loaded with a credit of data that works in other android devices. WiFi works fine. Factory reset does not help.

  There is that one thing that I can't not try troubleshooting. When I select settings > more > mobile networks > access point names, it says

  "Access Point name settings are not available for this user.

  Maybe if I could put APN I could get mobile data. How can I do or how I can try to get mobile data to work?

  This text is a bit misleading, which is something that I have forwarded internally as your comments.

  If you have no NPP stored the phone displays the text "the name of the Access Point settings are not available for this user" even if you use the owner account and have access to the settings.

  Try to download the automatic settings from settings-> more-> Internet settings and see if that helps.

• The loss of mobile data after upgrading to Android 6

  I installed the update Android 6 on my Compact Z5 yesterday, and since that time, mobile data no longer works.

  • I tried to restart without result
  • Internet works fine when the wifi is enabled
  • Phone calls work very well, and I have bars full or nearly full most of the time.
  • I am connected to the correct provider
  • Mobile data is enabled, and the mobile data limit is disabled

  There is no mobile data icon showing in the top bar, and chrome shows I'm offline ("ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED").

  Any ideas on what I can try to get my phone connected to the mobile data again?

  Have you tried to download it again internet settings? It's under settings-more.

• Two issues that are frustrating me: save the photos and mobile data.

  The second question is that, with the plan of my phone, I have a 1 GB data limit a month and I have a widget on the home screen telling me how much I used etc.  The other day I got a "Use of data" alert on my phone that I put 1 GB and let me know when I'm near my limit (took me to alert me when I have 100 MG remaining).

  OK, so whenever you connect your phone to a PC, find the Xperia Z2 on 'My Computer' then click on internal storage then look for a folder called DCIM and click it. Then click on ANDRO100 inside this folder are photos and videos.

  I run MDS firstly, it seems well, window is open. But when I run the Simulator, in my case 8300. I get error when you try to access any web resource: unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later.

  I've initially tried to do this on win7 and moved to xp, which solved my problem of MDS, but I still can't get networking funciton on the Simulator. All that I'm missing? Need to make

  On Win7.

  (1) uninstalled java and things bb.

  (2) fresh installed JDK 6 with the SDK

  (3) path added to jdk/bin to the path environment variable

  (4) downloaded Simulator runing 4.2 os No 4.5

  (5) installed MDS and Simulator in folder BlackBarry under C: /, runing administrator installation

  (6) powershell started as an administrator

  (7) sailed to MDS folder via powershell run.bat and executed

  8) sailed to BB Simulator via powershell folder and run 8300.bat (downloaded 8300 simulator)

  I downloaded Blackberry email and MDS Services 4.1.4 and the Blackberry 9630 Simulator Simulator. I'm testing a blackberry asp.net application I have running on a test server using the blackberry Simulator.

  I have windows XP box. When I try to run the SDM Service, it runs without error, but acquire it on the site - http://www.blackberry.com/go/mobile - error saying above message - unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later. How can I solve this problem, I tried to use full qualified names in the config file.

  Hi Nav, thanks for your message.

  When you use the BlackBerry 9630 Smartphone Simulator, you may need to change its default connection settings in order to provide network connectivity.  The reason why because the 9630, being a world phone, supports different types of network technologies and a configuration change may be needed to make it work with the MDS Simulator - CS.

  1. from the home screen, click the 'manage connections '.

  2. a popup window opens, select "Mobile Network Options '.

  3. in the options screen, ensure that the following field values are defined:

  • Data services = 'On '.
  • Network selection mode = "auto".
  • Technology network = "1XEV".

  4. close the 'mobile network options' screen to save the changes

  9630 smartphone Simulator should now have network connectivity.

  I have an iPhone with iOS 9.3.1 6 and I try to turn off mobile data when the phone is in flight mode or with the SIM card removed. No idea how to do it?

  There is nothing to turn off.  If the device is in airplane mode, all the radio are switched off voltage, therefore no data or voice at all connections.  Similarly, if you remove the SIM card, it cannot be any cellular connection at all, so nothing to turn off in what concerns cellular data (or voice).  With the SIM card, wifi could still be used if there is a network in range.  But with wifi off and the SIM card on, once again, there is no possible connection data of any kind.
