  McAfee may be able to detect the virus/malware but is know that it is not the fast/more lighter AV.

  I suggest you completely uninstall and restart your computer.

  So after uninstalling all the plugins and extensions and all that fun stuff, found the culprit - extension Pluraleyes4. Didn't even have to remove the extension, as soon as I closed the tab (he was hiding among many other tabs), instantly the delay stopped.
